HOGWARTS - HARRY

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Dress Up Area Lights Up3h

Dylan decided to test the system's capabilities. He pulled a gold Galleon from his backpack, focusing on it as he thought about depositing it.

Sure enough, the coin vanished from his hand.

Checking the system panel, he saw that the [Money] column now reflected the added amount.

A satisfied smile spread across his face. Without hesitation, he deposited all his money—including the pounds his parents had given him—into the system. He even stored the various items he had purchased.

"This system is great," Dylan mused. "I don't need a physical space ring, and I don't have to worry about anyone stealing from me."

The best part? By using the system, he didn't need to store his money in Gringotts.

Gringotts' vaults weren't easy to access, and even depositing money required a fee. Dylan had no intention of letting the goblins take advantage of him.

With his inventory now fully accessible at will, he felt secure.

Glancing at the system panel, he noticed additional rewards. He quickly swiped through them, skimming past magic affinity and potion affinity before stopping at two new sections:Wizard Robe BeautificationWand BeautificationThese options weren't listed under the [Wizard Hat] icon but under the [Magic Wand] icon instead.

Curious, he tapped on the wand beautification option. A new page appeared:

[Name]: Dylan Hawkwood

[Spells that can be refined]: None

[Magic wand that can be beautified]: 1

[Wizard robe that can be beautified]: 1

The [Wizard Robe Beautification] section was grayed out.

"Right, my custom robe isn't ready yet. I'll have to wait."

Dylan clicked on [Beautifiable Wand], eager to explore the customization options.

The interface allowed him to alter the wand's appearance—its design, color, and even the color of the magic it emitted.

"This…"

At first, Dylan thought it was a pointless feature. But then, an idea struck him.

Since the system allowed him to customize the magic's color, could he make his spells colorless?

If so, his dark magic would become much harder to detect.

Excited, he checked the cost.

"100 gold Galleons per change?! What kind of scam is this?"

He stared at the price in disbelief.

"Why does an achievement system need to charge for features?"

Dylan glanced at the wand he had just bought and shook his head.

"Forget it. I'll wait until I have more money."

Next, he tapped on the dimmed [Beautifiable Wizard Robes] section.

Even though he couldn't use it yet, he wanted to see what it offered.

The customization options were similar to the wand's but had an additional feature: the ability to modify his own appearance while wearing the robe.

Dylan was stunned.

He could change his hairstyle, the robe's style, and even apply makeup.

But each change cost 100 Galleons.

"Even changing back costs another 100? This is daylight robbery!"

He sighed.

"Looks like this function is a money pit. I'll use it when I can afford it."

Despite the absurd cost, Dylan saw its potential. If he ever needed to disguise himself, this system could be invaluable.

But was the system encouraging him to become the next Dark Lord?

"It's as if it wants me to rob Gringotts just to fund these upgrades," he muttered.

Still, the most useful reward so far was the 100 Galleons he had already received.

His family would need months to earn that much.

"Moo~"

A soft cry snapped him out of his thoughts.

He looked down at Little Wuying, who was watching him with wide eyes.

"Are you hungry?" Dylan chuckled.

He pulled out some food, feeding the tiny creature.

Since he hadn't officially bought Wuying yet, he hadn't dared to purchase pet food from the Magical Creatures Shop.

If he bought food without owning a pet, the shopkeeper might get suspicious and report him.

Dylan wasn't willing to take that risk.

After feeding Wuying, he placed the creature into the system's [Pet Space] for safekeeping.

"Getting a license won't be easy…" he thought. "I'll deal with that later."

Satisfied, he went to bed.

The next morning, Dylan woke up feeling refreshed.

He took out the books he had bought from Flourish and Blotts, eager to start learning.

With one month left before school started, he wanted to get ahead. If possible, he hoped to master some spells in advance.

"I wonder if I'll be in the same class as Harry Potter," he thought.

The idea amused him, but he quickly brushed it aside. He would find out soon enough.

With six max-level spells already under his belt, learning standard first-year spells should be easy.

He opened the textbook to the Levitation Charm.

"Wingardium Leviosa, huh?"

Reading the instructions, he decided to give it a try.

Holding his wand, he tapped a book on the desk.

"Wingardium Leviosa!"

A faint shimmer of magic surrounded the book.

Then—whoosh!

The book floated into the air.

Dylan's eyes widened in surprise.

"It worked on my first try?"

But his excitement was short-lived.

His magic output was too strong, and he couldn't control it properly.

The book trembled, then—bang!—dropped onto the desk.

"Hmm… looks like I need better control over my magic."

Despite the setback, he felt encouraged.

Practicing several more times, he improved little by little.

Then, something on his system panel caught his eye.

Under [Spells], the Levitation Charm had been added.

But unlike his max-level spells, this one had a progress bar:Levitation Charm (3/10)"So spells have proficiency levels?"

That was an interesting discovery.

The more he practiced, the more his proficiency would grow.

Dylan grinned.

"Looks like I've got my training cut out for me."

Determined, he picked up his wand and continued practicing.
