Chapter 225: Ais, Do You Really Like This Guy?
Chapter 225 - Ais, Do You Really Like This Guy?
If it was before, Mahiro said he did not lie to Ais.
Riveria would not have believed it.
However, after witnessing Mahiro's crusade against Goliath, Riveria was shaken.
Could there really be such a secret technique, one that even she didn't know about, that could produce results close to a miracle?
"May I ask you a question?" Riveria said.
"That depends on the question. If it involves sensitive matters, I believe I have the right to refuse," Mahiro replied calmly.
"Are you truly just a rookie adventurer who has only recently received a Falna?" Riveria asked.
This was also a concern of the Hiryuute sisters.
When Riveria spoke, the other three turned their curious eyes toward Mahiro.
"Yes," Mahiro nodded.
Hearing this, even Ais's eyes lit up.
Her gaze swirled, and she tilted her body slightly, as if trying to catch a glimpse of Mahiro's back—where his Falna was engraved.
The other three were shocked, their eyes widening in disbelief.
Regarding Mahiro being Level 1, after his confirmation, they had no reason to doubt it.
Such a lie would be unnecessary.
But it was precisely because of this that they were so astonished.
They had never seen a Level 1 adventurer with such terrifying strength.
Even for them, among the few Level 1 adventurers in Orario, at the beginning of their journey, they were only capable of defeating goblins, the most basic of monsters.
Not to mention a Floor Boss, even a Level 2 Minotaur could have easily killed them.
Even Ais, who held the record for the fastest rank-up, was no exception.
Yet, Mahiro had shattered everyone's expectations.
At Level 1, he had successfully defeated a Level 4 Floor Boss.
And he had done so without sustaining any injuries.
This was simply unbelievable!
If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, they would never have accepted it.
But the facts were right before them.
They had no choice but to believe.
If Mahiro could possess strength comparable to a Level 4 adventurer while still at Level 1, then his claim of being able to enhance one's strength must also be true.
At this point, Riveria's gaze toward Mahiro changed.
This extraordinary ability would undoubtedly make him a target for every Familia in Orario.
Moreover, no matter which Familia he joined, Mahiro would undoubtedly shine with dazzling brilliance.
"Thank you, and I apologize," Riveria explained. "Ais didn't show up for the appointment that night because we were worried she might be deceived, so we stopped her."
"I hope you don't take offense."
"I had already guessed as much," Mahiro nodded. It was within his expectations.
"Handsome guy, I heard from Ais that you can improve her strength. Could you let me try as well?" Tiona asked, approaching him with a curious smile.
Huh?
"No," Mahiro refused outright.
"Oh, why not?" Tiona immediately leaned closer, attempting to hug Mahiro's arm as she cooed, "Even Ais got to do it. Come on, there won't be any problem, right?"
"My abilities are not for casual use," Mahiro said calmly. "I sensed a genuine determination in Ais, which is why I decided to help her. As for you..."
"Actually, I have that kind of determination too!" Tiona's eyes sparkled, her tone firm, though it carried a playful undertone.
"Tiona, don't trouble Mahiro. Let him go," Ais interjected softly, though her words carried an undeniable authority.
Tiona didn't let go but instead looked at Ais with a teasing gaze. "Ais, aren't you being a bit domineering?"
"Domineering?" Ais tilted her head in confusion.
"Isn't that the case?" Tiona replied matter-of-factly. "I'm just holding onto Mahiro's arm."
"Why are you telling me to let go? He didn't say anything."
"I just think you'll only cause trouble for Mahiro," Ais replied.
"Ais, do you really like this guy?" Tiona asked directly, her gaze fixed on Ais.
"Like?" Ais looked even more puzzled.
Earlier, when she heard Mahiro's reason for rejecting Tiona, Ais had felt a flicker of happiness.
But seeing Tiona getting so close to him, she felt a strange sensation in her heart.
Especially after Tiona was rejected but still refused to give up, Ais felt compelled to help Mahiro resolve the situation.
"Alright, Tiona, stop teasing Ais," Tione, Tiona's sister, intervened.
"You know Ais can't answer that kind of question."
Ais was as pure as a blank sheet of paper.
She had been well-protected by her Familia and friends, and men rarely had the chance to approach her.
Naturally, she didn't fully understand the concept of romantic feelings.
"But this is an important matter. I plan to have a child with Mahiro in the future," Tiona declared boldly.
Mahiro was momentarily stunned.
Is my charm really that powerful?
Meeting and already talking about having a child?
This is moving way too fast.
Seeing Mahiro's slightly bewildered expression, Riveria couldn't help but smile and explain, "The Amazons admire the strong. They are very direct in expressing their feelings."
"If they like someone, they show it openly."
The Amazons, a race of female warriors, originate from a matriarchal society.
Compared to ordinary people, they are more passionate and unrestrained, expressing their affections in a very straightforward manner.
—Including the desire to have children.
After this explanation, Mahiro understood why Tiona was so forward.
Strong individuals naturally attract attention from the opposite sex.
This is an undeniable truth.
"By the way, what kind of woman do you like?" Tiona asked.
Mahiro looked helpless and remained silent.
"Mahiro, tell me," Tiona pressed, her tone coquettish.
Even Ais turned a curious gaze toward him.
The other two also looked on with interest.
"I like... mature women," Mahiro finally said, though he paused mid-sentence.
In truth, he had wanted to say he liked women with large breasts, but he caught himself just in time.
That particular preference was not something to be shared so openly, especially in front of women.
Mature?
The eyes of the three immediately turned toward Riveria.
"Why are you looking at me?" Riveria asked, feeling slightly uncomfortable under their gaze.
"No wonder Mahiro has been treating Riveria differently from the start," Tiona said with a grin.
"I've heard that younger men often prefer mature women," Tione added thoughtfully.
"Mahiro, do you like Riveria?" Ais also asked, her expression tinged with curiosity.
