Chapter 18: Chapter 17
Henrik and the girls didn't need to walk for too long as they entered the station across the town square.
"Hi, I would like to meet with Sheriff Forbes," Henrik said with a smile to the pretty blonde receptionist who was in charge of tending to phone calls and receiving people.
"Hi, do you already have a meeting scheduled with Sheriff Forbes?" the blonde woman asked, smiling as she greeted him.
"No, but I'm sure you can do something for us to have a meet with her, that's right, love?" Henrik said, still smiling, but this time he was compelling her as his pupils did the magic trick of enlarging and receding back. He thought that maybe these people were on vervain, but still tried as it didn't take more than a moment.
"You are right, there is no need for a scheduled meeting. I will take you guys to her office." The blonde smiled beautifully as she promptly stood up from behind the desk and made a signal with her hand to follow her. "Please, follow me."
"Easy peasy. This trick sure is useful." Henrik smirked as he talked with the girls after seeing that the receptionist was compelled.
They just rolled their eyes at his words.
"Sheriff Forbes?" the blonde woman said as she knocked on the door.
"Come in!" a woman's voice sounded from inside the office.
The blonde woman opened the door after receiving the okay from the woman inside.
"What do you need, Sophia?" Elizabeth said from inside without looking at the ones entering, as she was looking at a few documents on the table while sipping coffee.
"Sheriff, these guys are looking for you." The blonde woman said after they entered.
"Who are you people? What do you need with me?" Elizabeth said cautiously after she saw the receptionist, Henrik, Alicia, and Megan inside her office.
"Elena? What are you doing here?" Elizabeth said with a weird and uncertain look after she spotted Katherine in the back. "And who are they?"
Henrik's smile widened slightly as he saw Sheriff Forbes confusing Katherine with Elena. Katherine mischievously stepped forward, her demeanor calm and collected.
"Hi, Sheriff Forbes," Katherine said, her tone mirroring Elena's gentle and familiar cadence. "I needed to talk to you about Caroline."
Elizabeth's eyes narrowed slightly as she scrutinized "Elena" for a moment. Something about her seemed off, but she couldn't place it.
Before Elizabeth could respond, Henrik interrupted the farce from going further as Caroline was actually in a pinch. Her crazy father thought that torturing her could make her instincts change.
"Actually, Sheriff, I need to clear something up first," Henrik said, his voice steady but firm. He turned to face Katherine, giving her a look as if saying, 'Stop wasting time.' "She's not Elena."
Elizabeth blinked in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"That's Katherine Pierce. I don't know if you've heard of her, but we're not here because of her; we're here for Caroline." Henrik gestured toward Katherine and then steered the matter at hand.
Katherine's calm facade flickered and vanished as she rolled her eyes mischievously, offering a disarming smile. "Henrik, you really know how to ruin the fun, don't you?"
Elizabeth's hand instinctively moved toward her gun. "What is going on here?" she asked, her tone more guarded now.
"I'm not here to hurt anyone," Katherine assured her. "I'm just tagging along with my man."
Katherine snickered at Henrik after she said that, while Henrik almost palmed his face at Katherine's wording, making the next thing more complicated.
He compelled the receptionist, Sophia, to go back to work. Then, he turned back to Elizabeth, his tone softening. "Sheriff, I'm Henrik, and I'm Caroline's boyfriend. I've been trying to reach her all day, but I can't get through. I came to you because I'm worried about her."
Elizabeth's eyes widened in surprise. "Boyfriend?" she repeated, as if trying to process the information. "Katherine just said you were her man..."
"I know how it sounds and looks to you, Sheriff. But hear me out. Caroline is actually my girlfriend, and so are Katherine and these other two ladies, Megan and Alicia." Henrik smiled wryly as he tried to explain to Elizabeth. "Maybe your daughter told you about me? After all, I was supposed to meet you and her ex-husband today to get to know you both."
Elizabeth's brow furrowed in concern and wonder. "Caroline did say she was dating someone," she murmured while looking at the three girls and Henrik. "She said she'd introduce him to me soon."
"Well, I would have loved for our first meeting to go differently, but time is of the essence right now. I can't reach Caroline, and I need your help to find her."
"But why can't you reach her? Have you tried calling?" Elizabeth asked, bewildered.
Henrik shook his head. "I have, but it's useless. Her phone isn't picking up." He leaned forward slightly. "Sheriff, I think Caroline is in danger. I came to you because I need to find her, and I think you might know where she is."
"What makes you think she's in danger? And how do you know where she might be?" Elizabeth's skepticism was evident. She was still trying to process that the handsome young man in front of her was her daughter's boyfriend and that he was also involved with these other three girls.
"I can't explain it fully; just take it as witch's magic." Henrik hesitated for a moment.
Elizabeth's eyes narrowed. "Magic?" she repeated incredulously.
Henrik nodded. "I know it's hard to believe, but please, trust me. This isn't just a feeling, and I'm not just bothering you, Elizabeth. Caroline's in real danger."
After a moment's hesitation, Elizabeth relented. "Fine. Tell me what this place looks like."
Henrik described it in vivid detail—the cold, sterile walls, the dim lighting, and the chair reminiscent of a makeshift torture chamber. Elizabeth's expression shifted into a worried look as she thought about it.
"That sounds like... the old city jail?" Elizabeth trailed off, her voice thick with unease.
Katherine, who had been leaning casually against the desk, straightened up. "I know where that is," she said abruptly. "There was no need to come to Sheriff Forbes. I could've taken you there myself."
"Right, I thought that maybe you would have known about it and would have inquired with you if Sheriff Forbes wasn't here, but as she is, we need her. Because the man retaining Caroline isn't just anyone; it's her father and Elizabeth's ex-husband." Henrik said with a wry smile as he heard Katherine, then he looked at Elizabeth as he said the rest.
"What!" Elizabeth exclaimed in surprise and worry.
"Yes, as you heard. Caroline's father is trying to change your daughter's nature forcefully, resorting to torture at this moment, I'm afraid. So we need to leave right now. There is no time for more talking." Henrik said to Elizabeth. Then he turned to Katherine, urging her. "We don't have time to waste. Katherine, guide us there now."
Katherine shrugged and gestured toward the door. "Follow me, then."
"And you girls, are you both vampires too?" Elizabeth asked Megan and Alicia as she followed after the group with her gun in hand.
"Yes and no, Mrs. Forbes. We are hybrids like Henrik—vampires and werewolves." Megan smiled and said.
"Oh, lord," Elizabeth said again, astonished and uneasy about this new level of problem in town.
The group left the station, crossing the town square quickly as they made their way toward the old city jail, built in 1860.
"Henrik, don't try to kill Bill. That is Caroline's father. Please." Elizabeth pleaded as they moved into the building.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't do it. Caroline would hate me if I did something like that. After all, she loves you and her father too." Henrik reassured her. "Being a vampire doesn't change someone into a new person; everything you were before just gets amplified. The good things, the bad things. It's all just... heightened. A person's core nature remains the same, you know. Even if you have a new need to drink blood to survive."
"Thanks," Elizabeth said softly after hearing him, thoughtful about the rest.
"Caroline!" Henrik said as he heard her voice talking to someone. That must be her father.
Soon they appeared outside the cell. Henrik kicked it open from the outside, surprising Caroline and Bill inside.
"Get away from her," Henrik said as he pushed Caroline's father away from her. He was spilling vervain on her. The cell was filled with daylight covering Caroline's body, and she didn't have her daylight ring on her finger, but she was still fine under the sunlight.
"Don't kill him, Henrik," Caroline said with an exhausted, sad, and worried voice. "He is my dad."
"Caroline! Baby." Henrik promptly grabbed her ring from the floor and put it on her finger as he broke her restraints.
"Fuck, what an asshole! Look what he did to you." Henrik said, distressed as he saw the few light burns on her arms, chest, and shoulders from the spilled vervain on her.
He bit his wrist and made Caroline drink his blood as she healed quickly while feeding.
"How could you do this, Bill? She's our daughter." Elizabeth berated loudly to Bill as he stood on his feet after his soft crash against the cell walls.
"Because she is my daughter, I'm trying to help her." Bill coughed a little as he composed himself and took a look at his ex-wife and the people in the cell. "She is a vampire, Liz. I need to help her."
"I told you already, I'm fine, Daddy," Caroline said, looking at her father after she looked up from Henrik's shoulder. She had licked clean her bloody lips and the wrist of Henrik, giving a loving kiss on the place where she fed. "And you also said I was doing great for being a vampire. You should have just let me go already."
"Baby, because you are doing so great after testing you, I was hopeful that you would be more than great. That you would be able to repress completely your basic instincts." Bill explained.
"That's impossible; you were only torturing her by doing this. She is already doing well for being a vampire, you know?" Henrik despised him a bit for hurting Caroline. "You should see other vampires that can't control themselves; those are the vampires you should worry about."
"He is right, Bill. You were wrong in doing this. She shouldn't have to experience this, not from you—someone she looks up to." Elizabeth said sadly and disappointed in him.
"How are you still able to be under the sunlight, Caroline?" Katherine asked in wonder after a moment of calm, moving beside her. She saw how the sun was completely engulfing Caroline's body on the chair, but she didn't have her daylight amulet to protect her from it.
"I don't know. I just told Daddy that it was the ring making me able to walk under the sun, and he removed it from me. And... then he tried to use the light of the sun on me, but it didn't work as he expected. Even I was surprised about it." Caroline answered automatically as she rested against Henrik's body while he sat on the chair and had her on his lap.
After Caroline calmed down and saw it was 'Elena,' she said, "What are you doing with Henrik, Elena? And how did you guys find me?"
"Who are they?" Caroline asked, looking at Megan and Alicia.
"They are Megan and Alicia—werewolves that I turned into hybrids. They are part of my pack and, like you, my girls too. It's a little bit complicated; I will explain to you later in more detail, alright, baby?" Henrik had a wry smile as he caressed Caroline softly while she leaned against him.
Caroline's face changed a little, but she didn't say anything after hearing him. She sighed and pressed her face against his neck, rubbing herself on him, taking his scent. Then she bit him and drank from his blood, experiencing pleasure and delight from it. Then she looked into his eyes and said, "Alright, I will wait for it. I love you, Henrik."
"I know. I do too, baby." Henrik said with a smile as he caressed her, knowing that he almost surely wouldn't have his backyard on fire after seeing her reaction.
"What are you doing here, Elena?" Caroline then moved her sight from Megan and Alicia to Katherine.
"She isn't Elena, baby." Henrik gritted his teeth, with a funny face awaiting the inevitable problem. "She is Katherine."
"What?" Caroline exclaimed, looking at Katherine. 'What is this bitch doing here?'
"Hear me out. She is like Megan, Alicia, and you. She is my girl now." Henrik said quickly, trying to defuse the bomb.
"Henrik... Why did you take this bitch? She is so manipulative, and she... she made me a vampire." Caroline said, hissing while looking at Katherine.
"Well, she can't escape from me; she is marked as mine already." Henrik said shyly as he touched Caroline's tattooed breast while pointing with his other hand to Katherine's. "And now, after seeing that the sunlight couldn't do anything to you, we know that it's more than just something decorative. It helped you from the sunlight. Is there something more that you have found?"
"Mhm... Fine. You can keep that bitch; I don't care." Caroline moaned in her man's ear. "Besides that, I found that I don't have the strong need to feed on blood when a blood bag is presented in front of me."
"Daddy saw all this and got excited, wanting to try to eliminate my need completely while using vervain, as it was the only thing still affecting me. According to him, to relate the pain with the need to feed, but it's impossible, you know it. Luckily for me, the pain was mild, not so much as before. It was more like lukewarm, almost hot water than acid being poured on my skin. It only got more effective as he gave me a spiked drink with vervain, making me weaker." Caroline continued.
"You only got weaker? You didn't faint?" Katherine asked with a wondering expression after listening to what she was saying.
"No, I just felt weak," Caroline replied dully to her.
"Amazing." Katherine looked more obsessed with the tattoo on her breast, wondering if vervain would do nothing to her at this point, as she had previously developed a resistance to it.
"Henrik, we should leave here and get Caroline to a more comfortable place," Elizabeth said after seeing that her daughter wasn't in bad shape, just a little bit tired and disappointed in her own father for even trying these things on her.
"You're right, Elizabeth. Let's get out of here." Henrik said as he stood up with Caroline in his arms.
"Wait. Let me have a chat for a moment with my dad." Caroline said as she left his arms.
"Alright, baby. We will wait outside for you." Henrik said as he left the cell with his girls. Elizabeth stayed with Caroline and Bill.
"Well, what do you say about it?" Henrik said smugly as he grabbed hold of Katherine from behind in an embrace. He naughtily and hornily grabbed her marked breast, squeezing it.
"Ah~~ Henrik." Katherine moaned as she got softer, leaning against him. Her ass pushed back against his cock. "It's incredible and extremely useful as it is already. I wonder what more things it has to offer."
"And you have it because you are my woman." Henrik smirked as he grabbed her chin with his other hand and made her look sideways. He looked into her eyes and kissed her mouth as he fondled her breast harder and pinched her nipples.
"Mhmm~~" Katherine moaned loudly into their wet kiss as she entangled her tongue around his, playfully circling it all over while her body trembled in pleasure at his touch. She kept rubbing her ass on his cock, moving slowly in circles, feeling how it got up and firmly pushed against her crack.
"Daddy~~, let's go." Caroline said as she appeared from behind Henrik and embraced his back, pushing her breasts against him. She saw how he was touching and kissing Katherine and got a little jealous about it.
"Caroline, are you done, baby?" Henrik asked as he turned to her, embracing her closer to him, making her push her body against his while he playfully squeezed her ass cheeks.
Katherine was panting on his neck as she rested against his body after they separated from their kiss. Henrik continued fondling roughly her ass with his other hand while talking with Caroline.
"Yes. Mhm~~" Caroline cutely moaned at his touch.
"Do you want me to send him away?" Henrik asked as he kept caressing her soft cheeks through her clothes, enjoying them.
"Ah~~ No, he will stay here for a while before leaving." Caroline said softly in his ear, making cute noises.
"Oh... Aren't you mad with him, love?" Henrik asked her softly as he moved his hand from her ass to her cheeks, caressing her softly.
"No. A little bit disappointed that he did that. I didn't expect that from him, maybe from my mom, but not him. It was something unexpected that he was also part of all this vampire hunter family thing." Caroline said with a sigh as she leaned her cheek on his hand and then kissed him.
"Well, if you want to know something, baby, you are not the only one who had his father hurting his child. Mine did something similar too, and not for a good cause like yours. Mine wanted to fuck me up." Henrik commented. "And still, I haven't given up on him."
"What? Who is your dad?" Caroline asked in doubt.
"I can't tell you now; at a later date, you would know." Henrik said with a smile.
"Mhmm~~" Katherine's eyes flashed as she kept moaning on him while she licked his neck, thoughtful about Henrik's words and thinking of a few possibilities.

There you have it. Hopefully, you took your time reading it to make it count. I've been a bit lazy lately, and there hasn't been much good content for me to enjoy reading. Writing is fun and all, and I already know what to do, but actually creating the chapters can get boring midway. Combined with my laziness and slow writing, the result is unfortunately slow updates. Hehe. The fanfic won't be dropped, but the updates will be random as we already experience. I was thinking about playing Stalker 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 and decided to try Cyberpunk 2077 again after installing a ton of mods. After playing for a bit, I was already thinking about creating a fanfic based on it. Well, fuck. Once you start writing something, you want to write everything you like, but then it hits you when you need to actually sit down and write the chapters. I wish I could have something connected to my brain so an AI could write the chapter for me. See you later in Night City, chooms.
