Chapter 3: Returning To The Old House, The Whole Story

"Cole, I still need to deal with family matters," he said as he bid the principal goodbye. He had no interest in arguing with the old man any longer. Black needed him.

"Go back to school when you have time. I still remember your favorite sweets," Dumbledore said softly with a twinkle in his eye.

"I must," Cole promised. Yet, the thought of Dumbledore's snacks made him shiver. Were those things acceptable to ordinary people?

Cole turned and left, passing through the hall to a row of fireplaces, where he saw the Malfoys also waiting in line. Lucius and Narcissa approached. Cole glanced at Lucius's immaculate platinum hair, wondering if even a fly could slip on it.

"Cole, you are back. It's truly commendable that the Black family still has you," Lucius said.

Cole looked at Malfoy in front of him and smiled at his cousin Narcissa beside him. "Lucius, I heard your argument just now. The Imperius Curse is quite a magical spell."

Malfoy blushed slightly at Cole's teasing. Who wasn't aware that those purebloods followed the mysterious man for profit rather than being under an Imperius Curse? If purebloods like them were easily controlled by the Imperius Curse, it would negate the need for family structure. Some things were discussed openly; others arranged secretly.

"I heard your son was born. Congratulations, Lucius."

"You are welcome to visit the manor anytime. The Malfoy family will always be friends with the Black family."

Speaking of his son, Lucius smiled. Surviving this catastrophe and being with his wife was all he had wished for.

"Cole, how can you kick Sirius out of the Black family? He's your brother," Narcissa said unhappily. After all, she was Sirius' cousin and couldn't bear to see him suffer in Azkaban.

"Narcissa, do you forget what they did to me at Hogwarts? Why should I save him?"

Lucius looked uncomfortable, unable to maintain his aristocratic demeanor. He was only a few years older than Sirius and had witnessed what happened at school with his own eyes.

"The Black family will regain its glory in my hands. As for those who are insignificant, I have no objections if the Malfoys wish to take care of them."

After hearing Cole's words, Lucius quickly pulled Narcissa away, threw a handful of Floo powder into the fireplace, and green flames rose.

Lucius had to leave. The Malfoy family had unfinished business. How could they have time to deal with Sirius? Cole grabbed a handful of Floo powder and said, "Black Manor." Green flames rose as the magical traces of space flashed before Cole's eyes; the bright silver space magic was dazzling.

When he opened his eyes, he arrived outside the Black family's manor. Not just anyone could use Floo powder to reach the Black old house. This was because Cole had the Black family mark on him, allowing him access.

Standing outside the manor, Cole was curious. Someone had sealed off the Black Manor, causing him to end up outside instead of within it.

"Kreacher, come out," Cole called loudly. The door slowly opened, and a small green elf trotted over, kneeling before him.

"Kreacher greets you, Master Cole. You're back."

Cole looked at the elf, who was trembling and kneeling on the ground. He noticed the whip marks on Kreacher's back.

"Get up. Did you block the manor?"

Cole's simple question caused Kreacher to kowtow in fear.

"Master Cole, please forgive Kreacher. The old master instructed me to do this."

Though Cole was aware there were issues with the house elf, he hadn't expected such humility. A casual question ended up causing such distress.

"Okay, let's get up and talk after we go in."

Cole walked in front and entered the manor from his memory. Kreacher put his hands in front of him and followed Cole obediently, not daring to cross at all. The old Black mansion was a bit messy. This place was used by Sirius as the meeting place for the Order of the Phoenix. People from the Black family were welcoming, so naturally, everyone could come in. Dumbledore even came in. As soon as he arrived in the hall, Cole saw the Black family tree placed on the wall. The tree-like bloodline diagram, several meters wide, represents the direct bloodline of the Black family for thousands of years. You must know that squibs and impure bloodlines are not qualified to appear on it.

Cole naturally saw his own name, and next to him, he also saw the name of his second brother Regulus, as well as a hole burned by a cigarette butt. It should be the name of Sirius, the only Gryffindor in the Black family for thousands of years. The Blacks hate iron. Cole turned around and was about to go up the stairs. In the middle of the first and second floors, before Cole could go up, there was an angry shout.

"Dirty b*****d, desecrating the ancestral home of my Black family."

"You're such a traitor, who will you bring today, a werewolf? A mudblood?"

Cole saw the half-tall portrait. The old lady in it had dark spots on her face and wore a black pointed hat. She was tugging at the frame angrily.

"Oh, look who this is, coward Black is back, why don't you die outside and tarnish the noble blood of the family."

Cole rolled his eyes. Anyone who is not blind can tell who is noble.

Walburga Black, the mother of him and Sirius, a person who insisted on the glory of pure blood, looked down upon those Mudbloods at all.

"Yes, I'm back, mother. If I die outside, the Black family will be cut off. You don't know that my eldest brother has already gone to Azkaban."

Cole laughed sarcastically, and Mrs. Wall was silent for a few seconds before continuing to curse: "I knew it, I knew that following the Mudblood would not end well. He deserves it. He should commit suicide and achieve the glory of the Black family."

Cole was speechless. A mother could tell her son to commit suicide. Is this old lady out of her mind? Are all close relatives defective? Why do everyone in the Black family have something wrong with them? Cole couldn't help but worry that he would be like this even if he wasn't old. It seemed that he had to be careful when looking for a wife in the future, and he couldn't let his son become an idiot.

"You are really cold-blooded, that's right. If you weren't cold-blooded, you wouldn't let those people bully me."

"You deserve it, you cowardly traitor. It's a disgrace to the Black family to have you. Why didn't I drown you in milk when you were born?"

Old Mrs. Black's curses continued, which made Cole's head hurt and he really wanted to light a fire.

"Don't worry, I'm the only one left in Black. Only in my hands will the family flourish."

After Cole finished speaking, he directly covered the curtain, and the curses disappeared instantly, leaving only the sound of whining. Kreacher didn't dare to say anything when he saw it. Now only Master Cole is left in the Black family, and of course, it is up to him to make the decision.

"Kreacher, clean up the house and use magic to seal the old house. No one can come in without permission."

"As you command, Master Cole."

Cole walked up to the third floor and returned to his room. Along the way, he saw many portraits, all of which were the ancestors of the Black family. These old stubborns didn't say anything when they saw Cole, they just looked at him coldly. Cole didn't pay attention to these old stubborns. Perhaps in their hearts, Cole was no longer a member of the Black family.
