Chapter 185: Tasha.
Things were getting complicated in Kyle's personal life, and there was no telling what had happened with the family that adopted him. Either way, there was no doubt that tension was involved; otherwise, Kyle wouldn't be acting this way.
Kyle needed an escape more than ever and knew that temporarily leaving Los Angeles would do him some good. He needed to let off some steam, and the only way he knew how was through the gym.
This was why the gym was at an all-time high in terms of membership; people had embraced it as an alternative for dealing with emotional pain or distress.
Kyle needed an escape from his head because if this was true then this meant his past was something he couldn't escape regardless of how far he ran.
But how far could he truly run if he was planning to conquer the world, they would have found him sooner or later.
Kyle didn't make an appointment with Aiysha and didn't care who trained him. He just needed to clear his head. He thought Cassandra was calling him to report something he didn't know but was aware of the current situation. However, Kyle told her not to accept the deal. If she was going to do this, she should do it with all her might.
Cassandra agreed because Kyle made it seem like everything would be alright, that nothing could go wrong at this point. He reassured her, and Cassandra scooped up every word he sent her over text after that call. She needed that validation, and Kyle fed into it. He needed that verdict to be given.
If she folded, everything would be lost, but that upset him because it showed that Jessica wasn't doing her job. She had given Cassandra false hope, but more importantly, the price they paid for her wasn't being repaid by her inferior service.
Kyle knew she had to be replaced, but the problem with this was that it would take a new lawyer time to acclimate to the case. Kyle knew Jessica wasn't a good fit and knew he had to take drastic measures before the day of the trial.
Kyle walked into the gym. It wasn't too crowded, as most people were at work, but there were still quite a few people working out. Surrounded by trainers, Kyle didn't pay attention to any of them. If it wasn't Aiysha, he would rather work out by himself.
This would help him let it out because there would be no routine. Kyle walked deeper into the gym and paid extra for one of the private rooms. Of course, it was available for an additional fee, and Kyle booked it for the rest of the day. He needed the privacy to let out his frustrations without limitation.
Kyle was given a room, but he wondered if Aiysha was around. No, even if she were, it wouldn't be a good idea to see her in this state.
The moment Kyle entered the room, Aiysha came out of hers a second later with a female client. They were both drenched in sweat, showing that the client had kept up with Aiysha's program.
The gym employees saw Kyle and knew that Aiysha had a personal relationship with him, judging by how they communicated. The question was, would they inform her of Kyle's arrival or give it no importance? That question was answered shortly.
"It looks like you've secured another big fish," one of the workers commented.
Aiysha raised a brow in confusion, as she had no idea what the worker was talking about.
"What do you mean?" Aiysha asked.
"The guy who came here that day—looks like he's decided to make this gym his regular workout spot," the lady said, and Aiysha instantly knew who she was referring to.
"Kyle is here?" Aiysha thought to herself. But if he was here, why didn't he inform her?
"Oh my! That's great—more customers mean more money!" Aiysha responded.

"You know it, girl! And I have to say, he's quite the looker," the chocolate-skinned lady commented.
"You're in a relationship, Tasha," Aiysha rolled her eyes at the 5'2" woman. She had a thicker build than Aiysha despite her smaller size, thanks to a mix of genetics and working out.
"C'mon, a little eye candy never hurt anyone," Tasha responded with a smile. She had dimples, but Aiysha wasn't friends with this lady. She didn't agree with Tasha's moral compass but wasn't one to judge. People, in general, were unpredictable. At least Tasha was honest about her intentions rather than condemning the act and indulging in it privately.
"Which room is he in?" Aiysha asked, wiping sweat off her face. She was wearing leggings and a crop top, though this one was more modest, with only the top visible. There was nothing she could do about the view; she was a busty woman.
"That one over there~," Tasha said with a flirtatious voice.
"I'll be right back," Aiysha responded, heading toward the room Kyle was in. But Tasha grabbed her by the wrist.
"Hey, how about I go instead?" Tasha asked. Aiysha only knew Tasha because of how similar their names sounded. But Aiysha was nothing like her. She wasn't sure how Kyle would react, but maybe if Tasha went, it would be less awkward.
However, Aiysha knew the kind of person Tasha was. She knew what Tasha would try to do if she went.
Aiysha sighed, stopping in her tracks and allowing Tasha to be the one to see Kyle. If he was in a foul mood, she didn't want to be the recipient of it. She knew how Kyle got when he wasn't in a good mood, and he must have had his reasons for asking for a room all to himself. She wouldn't want to intrude, but Tasha was adamant about going.
Aiysha knew this would be a good chance to see what kind of person Kyle was when it came to women.
"Fine, you can go, but don't do anything stupid," Aiysha warned her. The last thing she wanted was to make Kyle uncomfortable.
"C'mon, men love me," Tasha responded, but Aiysha knew why. Tasha loved the attention that came with her work—how men would sneak glances at her as though she were a fruit they weren't allowed to eat.
"I'm sorry, Kyle," Aiysha apologized for what was about to happen.
Kyle stood in front of a boxing bag, pounding away at it relentlessly. His knuckles were sore. He heard a knock at the door, which interrupted his focus. Looking at his knuckles, he saw they were bruised.
"What the fuck am I doing?" Kyle thought to himself. The adrenaline still coursed through his veins, so he wasn't feeling the pain from his reckless actions.
He took a deep breath before opening the door, only to see a short woman standing before him.
"Um, can I help you?" Kyle asked, placing his hands behind his back to hide his bruised knuckles.
"Boy, you should be asking if I can help you," Tasha said sassily, which rubbed Kyle the wrong way.
He just stared at her. She was disturbing because the last thing he wanted right now was company.
Kyle knew that this was Aiysha's workplace, and he couldn't risk causing trouble for her by being a difficult customer. He wanted to tell her to get out but knew he had to compose himself, as his emotions were the one thing he could control.
"Ha! You're right, but I'm sort of freestyling today," Kyle confessed, his demeanor shifting as if he weren't angry anymore.
The thing about his skill that allowed him to replicate everything he had seen meant he was a great actor when he needed to assume that role. All the movies he had watched helped him replicate facial expressions and body language perfectly. This made him an excellent deceiver, and he did it without even realizing how effective it was.
Tasha saw the veins bulging from his arms and knew he must have been doing high-intensity workouts.
"Oh my, it's been a while since we've had someone as good-looking as you in here. That's why I'm here—just to make sure you don't need any help," Tasha said in a suggestive tone.
She noticed the punching bag slowly swinging, realizing he was just using the equipment otherwise it would be still.
"A boxer?" Tasha asked, making her way past him. As she did, she deliberately rubbed up against him.
Kyle unwillingly felt her breasts against his body.
If the roles were reversed, one would scream sexual assault at such an act. But Kyle already knew from the start what kind of person Tasha was. Kyle didn't like this, if it was on a different day then there things might have been different but sex was the last thing on his mind right now.
Kyle clenched his fist in anger but couldn't let it show as he closed the door to ensure no one else could get in.
