Gurren Lagann - mecha lord

Chapter 17: Factory 2

Boom!

The walls of the factory shook violently, sending shockwaves across the compound. Dust and debris rained down as alarms blared, the wailing sirens echoing across the wasteland.

"Take those turrets out!" Goro commanded from the cockpit of Lagann, his hands steady on the controls. Kamina, seated in Gurren, grinned fiercely as he maneuvered their combined Gunman, Gurren Lagann, scaling the towering walls with ferocious speed.

Their movements were sharp and precise, honed through countless battles. Claw like hands dug into the factory's outer walls, propelling them upward. Below, the rest of the human forces worked in coordinated chaos, setting explosive charges at the base of the structure.

"Enemy attack!"

The shouts of panicked Beastmen filled the air. "It's the humans!"

From elevated turrets, beams of energy erupted, scorching the ground and tearing through the air. But the humans were prepared.

"Spiral cannons, fire!" one of the soldiers shouted.

Beam, beam!

Spiral-powered projectiles streaked through the sky, their golden energy cutting through the defenses with precision. Each blast struck true, obliterating the automated turrets one by one.

The turrets struggled to divide their attention between the climbing Gunmen and the humans advancing on foot below. But the humans had the advantage, their Spiral energy-driven technology proving too nimble and efficient.

"Keep them distracted!" Goro shouted over the comms. His eyes narrowed as he scanned the battlefield. "Kamina, we need to clear the top before reinforcements arrive. Let's show these Beastmen what Spiral Power can do!"

"You got it, partner!" Kamina replied

Gurren Lagann leapt from the wall, somersaulting in midair before landing on a turret platform with a ground-shaking crash. Goro and Kamina worked in perfect synchronization, their thoughts almost as one. The mighty drill weapon extended from the Gunman's arm, spinning with a deafening roar as it tore through another turret like it was paper.

Below, the ground team detonated their charges. Boom! The base of the wall crumbled, leaving a gaping hole for the soldiers and smaller Gunmen to storm through.

"Push forward!" Riggs shouted, leading the charge with his Gunman, its broad shield deflecting incoming fire. His spiral core pulsed brightly, amplifying his strength as he bashed through Beastmen defenses with relentless force.

"Humans have breached the outer wall!" a panicked Beastman yelled into a communicator.

The humans didn't relent. Spiral rifles fired golden blasts of energy, cutting down Beastmen who dared to stand their ground.

"Goro, this will be your grave!"

A thunderous voice echoed across the battlefield as a squad of Beastmen Gunmen lined up, blocking Gurren Lagann's advance. Their metallic forms gleamed under the wasteland sun, each machine powering up its weapons. The air buzzed with energy as cannons charged and claws glinted menacingly.

"Everyone, launch your attacks!"

Goro's reputation had spread far and wide among the Beastmen. He was their most wanted target.

The ground shook as the Beastmen began to surround Gurren Lagann, their combined energy flaring up like a storm.

"This isn't good, Goro," Kamina muttered. "They're going all out."

Before the Beastmen could unleash their coordinated assault, a deafening roar broke through the chaos.

"Not so fast!"

From the side, Riggs and his squad of Gunmen burst onto the scene, Spiral energy pulsing through their cores. They struck like lightning, their combined attacks smashing into the Beastmen ranks, scattering their formation.

The Beastmen leader, piloting a towering Gunman, growled in frustration. "Who the hell are you?!"

Riggs's Gunman blocked a devastating blow with its massive shield, the impact sending shockwaves across the battlefield. Spiral energy flared brightly as Riggs countered, pushing the enemy back with sheer force.

"I'm the guy who's going to stop you from laying a finger on Goro," Riggs said, his voice steady and resolute.

The Beastmen leader snarled, the sensors in his cockpit flashing red. He could feel it, the strength radiating from Riggs was equal to his own.

Goro, observing from Gurren Lagann's cockpit, smirked. "Riggs, you sure you got this?"

"Go ahead, Goro," Riggs called back. "We've got this. They're not getting past us."

"Alright," Goro said, his smirk turning into a grin. "Kamina, let's move! We've got a factory to take down."

Gurren Lagann surged forward, leaving Riggs and his team to hold the line.

As Goro and Kamina advanced, Riggs turned back to his squad. "Hold steady! We're not letting a single one through.

Adiane the Elegant stood atop the factory roof, her long tail swaying lazily as she observed the battlefield below. The chaos unfolding didn't faze her, humans had caused trouble before, but they always fell. They were resilient, yes, but their defiance always crumbled when faced with true power.

Her personal Gunman, Sayrune, stood motionless behind her, its white armor gleaming in the sunlight. Adiane placed a hand on its leg as if to reassure herself of its presence. Sayrune was a masterpiece, equipped with energy whips that could slice through even the toughest defenses and reinforced plating that was virtually impervious to standard weapons. She doubted these pathetic humans could even scratch it.

"Status report!" she barked, her voice sharp enough to make the Beastman officer near her flinch.

"Madame Adiane," he stammered, "the intruders have breached the outer defenses. They've destroyed most of the turrets on the eastern and southern walls. We estimate their numbers at approximately 40, including multiple Gunmen."

Adiane's eyes narrowed. "Forty? And you call yourselves warriors?" She snapped her whip against the ground, the crack echoing through the factory. "Do I have to handle everything myself?"

"Madame, reinforcements are on the way," the officer said quickly. "They'll arrive in-"

"Too late, as always," Adiane interrupted, her voice dripping with disdain. "Humans are like rats. Let them think they've gained an advantage, and they multiply." She turned her gaze toward the horizon, where she could see flashes of light from the advancing Gunmen.

"This group is different, though. they're organized... and dangerous."

She smirked, her fangs glinting. "Good. It's been too long since I've had a real challenge."

Adiane's eyes scanning for any signs of the human leader. She'd heard rumors about this one, a human who not only led but invented, created, and inspired others to fight. He intrigued her.

"Let's see if this 'leader' of yours is worth all the fuss," she muttered to herself. Then, with a fluid motion, she leapt into Sayrune's cockpit, the Gunman coming to life with a deep, mechanical growl.

Adiane activated her loudspeaker, her voice booming across the battlefield. "Humans! I am Adiane the Elegant, supreme general under the Spiral King. Your rebellion ends here!"

The battlefield trembled as Adiane, seated in her majestic white Gunman with pink joints and blue wings, unleashed her unique ability. Water erupted from the Gunman's core in massive torrents, quickly flooding the entire area. Rivers formed almost instantly, submerging friend and foe alike in a chaotic sea of combat.

Her Gunman glided through the water with fluid grace, resembling a predatory sea creature. The blue wings, adorned with red eye designs, shimmered ominously under the rising waves.

Adiane's voice crackled over the comms, cold and mocking. "Weaklings! Whether you're human or Beastman, it makes no difference. You'll all drown beneath my power!"

As her Gunman surged forward, she fired beams of energy through the water, the amplified currents enhancing their destructive force.

"General, friendly fire!" one of the Beastmen inside their Gunman screamed as Adiane's waterlogged assault tore through their ranks.

"Ahhh!" another Beastman's voice was abruptly cut off as their machine was crushed under a collapsing wave, completely consumed by the chaos.

The humans were faring no better. Their Gunmen, not designed for aquatic combat, struggled to maintain balance in the water.

"She's too strong!" one of the pilots shouted, panicking as Adiane's Gunman darted toward them with terrifying speed. A single swipe from its taloned arm sliced through the human Gunman like paper, triggering an underwater explosion that sent shockwaves rippling across the battlefield.

Inside Gurren Lagann

"Dammit! She's using the water to her advantage!" Kamina growled, struggling to steady the machine against the unpredictable currents.

Goro's eyes narrowed as he analyzed the battlefield. "She doesn't care about casualties, even her own forces. We have to take her down fast, or this flood will drown everyone!"

Kamina gritted his teeth. "Then let's give her something to choke on!"

Goro nodded "Time to turn the tide."

Gurren Lagann's drills spun to life, their Spiral energy glowing brilliantly even beneath the water. But every move they made was hindered by the rising currents, and Adiane's Gunman continued to dominate the battlefield, cutting through their forces with ruthless efficiency.

Adiane let out a chilling laugh as she circled them like a predator. "What's the matter, can't swim? Perhaps you should stick to dry land where you belong!"
