Great Demon Sun Wukong

Chapter 192 Fiery Eyes Golden Gaze Evolution

Finally, as Sun Wukong and Xi Zhao were sitting on the ground, counting the twenty-second ring, the Nine Decisions Vajra Ape suddenly stopped, kicked the Flame God, who was already unconscious on the ground, and looked utterly bored. Yet, seemingly reluctant to give up, the giant ape slowly squatted down and then pieced together the three cracked parts of the Phoenix Egg's shell.

But how could this already shattered eggshell be pieced together, especially since the Flame God was stuffed inside? As soon as the giant ape let go of his hands, the pieced-together eggshell instantly cracked open.

Though the giant ape was somewhat agitated, it didn't give up. After piecing it together once more, it suddenly smeared a large handful of saliva from its mouth and applied it to the outside of the eggshell.

Sun Wukong and Xi Zhao, sitting beside, were both stunned, though the twitching at the corners of their mouths betrayed their efforts to suppress their laughter.

After the entire Phoenix Egg was coated with saliva, the giant ape cautiously released its hands. However, less than three breaths later, the eggshell cracked open again.

This time the giant ape seemed to have lost its patience, slapped its head dejectedly with both hands, picked up the three pieces of the shell, hugged them, looked around, and then, with a spark in its eyes, made a few leaps to the side of the only window.

Seeing the Flame God lying on the ground half-dead with a face full of saliva, Xi Zhao and Sun Wukong also walked over. Although they knew the Flame God would certainly be alright, being treated like a ball, bounced and spun around, mustn't have been comfortable, even for one who wouldn't die.

Initially, Xi Zhao was about to slap the Flame God's face to wake him up, but seeing his face covered in the giant ape's saliva, he wrinkled his nose in disgust and decided against it.

However, just as they turned around to look for something to wake up the Flame God, Xi Zhao caught sight of Sun Wukong's tail moving unconsciously behind him. With a mischievous smile, he loudly asked, "Monkey, why did you use the Nine Decisions? The technique to summon this Nine Decisions Vajra Ape."

Sure enough, Sun Wukong's thoughts were diverted by Xi Zhao's question. As Sun Wukong carefully recalled, he suddenly realized that there was a lot of new stuff in his brain—things he had never seen or heard of before, as if they had suddenly emerged.

The sudden emergence was a set of magical decrees and hand seals named the Nine Decisions. Looking at these mysteriously accumulated memories, Sun Wukong was a bit puzzled because although they appeared suddenly, they felt very familiar, as if they were simply things he had forgotten and had now suddenly remembered.

Revisiting the Nine Decisions in his mind from the start, the more familiar they seemed. Eventually, Sun Wukong closed his eyes yet kept reciting the text of the Nine Decisions. When the last word of the Nine Decisions was uttered, Sun Wukong's mind suddenly gained a certain enlightenment.

But at that moment, he felt a chill on his tail and opened his eyes abruptly. The first thing he saw was Xi Zhao, holding his tail and rubbing it on the Flame God's face. Sun Wukong became furious, picked up the Jingu Bang without a word, and swung it at Xi Zhao.

Xi Zhao had been attentively watching Sun Wukong's movements, so he was already retreating the moment Sun Wukong lifted the Jingu Bang. But Sun Wukong's cudgel was already descending.

Unexpectedly, Sun Wukong's blow still struck someone—not Xi Zhao, but the Flame God lying unconscious on the ground. The previously comatose Flame God suddenly let out a pitiful howl, then sat up violently, clutching his belly and keeling over to one side.

Sun Wukong stood there awkwardly, wanting to help the Flame God up but worried about getting saliva on himself. Yet leaving him be seemed wrong, especially since he had accidentally struck him.

"Monkey, I was wrong, truly wrong. If I ever duel you again, I'll read my name backward," the Flame God said between howls of pain and a face full of regret.

Having dodged Sun Wukong's cudgel, Xi Zhao landed where the three of them had stacked their healing pills and other items. He quickly picked up a few jade vases and tossed them beside the Flame God, "Hurry up and take the medicine. And wipe that saliva off your face, it looks disgusting."

As soon as Xi Zhao had finished speaking, the Nine Decisions Vajra Ape that had been standing by the window seemed to have noticed something. It hooted continuously, thumped its chest with one hand and then grabbed the three eggshell pieces it held in the other.

It shook its shoulders and hurled them out of the window with such posture and force that it seemed like the giant ape had often engaged in this activity before.

After throwing the three eggshell pieces, the giant ape looked as if it wasn't quite satisfied and wanted to find something else to throw. Its eyes, big as copper bells, whirled around until they landed on the Flame God on the ground. The ape cracked a big, nefarious grin, causing the Flame God to shiver with fright.

Sun Wukong quickly formed a hand seal to recall the Nine Decisions Vajra Ape, lest it accidentally threw the Flame God out of the window. That would have been a disaster indeed.

Seeing Sun Wukong withdraw the giant ape, the Flame God heaved a sigh of relief. However, when he noticed Sun Wukong approaching, he quickly propped himself up with his hands and scuttled backward. "Big brother, Great Saint, don't come any closer. I'm truly scared of you now. I would rather sleep every day for the next two months than play with either of you. You two are way too outrageous."

The Flame God had previously sparred with Xi Zhao and ended up so thoroughly beaten that he was disoriented. Hence, after substantially increasing his strength, he didn't seek revenge on Xi Zhao but instead challenged Sun Wukong. Little did he know, Sun Wukong was even more formidable, not only capable of creating doppelgangers but also transforming in soul form.

Moreover, the terrifying giant ape that was finally summoned even managed to break through his strongest defense, the Phoenix Egg. Although he hadn't summoned the Phoenix Egg in its complete form, the fact that the ape could disregard the countless fiery spikes on it was shocking enough for the Flame God.

To him, the defenses he thought were as solid as teeth were simply a ball to be kicked around in the eyes of the giant ape, and by the end, not only were the fiery spikes plucked off, but the egg was also shattered. What in the world was that creature?

Seeing the Flame God in such a sorry state, Sun Wukong felt somewhat embarrassed. He scratched his head, took a big peach to offer to the Flame God, but then seemed to hesitate mid-gesture, took a huge bite himself before reluctantly offering it again. The Flame God, leaning against the wall, was nearly furious at the gesture.

After a bit of roughhousing, the Flame God was battered but not seriously harmed. After taking a healing pill for soul injuries, he was completely recovered. The three of them rested for a while, and once Sun Wukong had fully comprehended the Nine Decisions, they decided to continue sparring.

Actual combat was indeed the quickest way to improve one's strength, especially since Sun Wukong was eager to try out the Nine Decisions he had just acquired. Although he could already use one of the most difficult moves, Summoning Nine Decrees Beast, he had only a theoretical knowledge of the other moves and was eager to test their power.

Besides, he felt that the Chaos Five Decisions he had comprehended in the Pangu Realm were also evolving, but he was currently focused on the Nine Decisions and didn't pay much attention to the Chaos Five Decisions for the time being.

This time, it was Xi Zhao sparring with Sun Wukong. Firstly, the Flame God absolutely refused to fight and was only watching from the sidelines, and secondly, Xi Zhao wanted to gauge just how well Sun Wukong had mastered the Nine Decisions. He was also curious whether Sun Wukong could suddenly unleash any new moves during the battle.

With the Flame God's expectant gaze, full of the anticipation for an assortment of treats, Xi Zhao instantly entered a state of invisibility. But the moment Xi Zhao turned invisible, Sun Wukong's face revealed an astonished expression. Just as he was about to use his Fiery Eyes, which couldn't see Xi Zhao's form, he automatically opened the Fiery Eyes out of habit forged over many battles.

This time, however, Sun Wukong suddenly discovered that his Fiery Eyes had evolved to highest level, perceiving all of heaven and earth. It was previously mentioned that Sun Wukong's Fiery Eyes were divided into nine levels, and improving them was incredibly difficult. Despite the constant increase in his own strength since entering the Netherworld World, the Fiery Eyes showed no progress.

Now, his Fiery Eyes had evolved and reached the highest ninth level, the realm of Perceiving Heaven and Earth. Could there be some connection between the Fiery Eyes and the Nine Decisions? Although one of the Nine Decisions was named Heaven and Earth Dao Eye, he had never practiced it before.

However, while Sun Wukong was still stunned, Xi Zhao had already closed in quickly, wielding two blue iron rings, aiming a horizontal cut directly at Sun Wukong's waist.

Without any hesitation, Sun Wukong twisted his body and blocked Xi Zhao's Formless Vanishing with his Jingu Bang. At the moment the weapons met, a burst of deep blue ice crystals exploded at the point of impact, and an Ice Tower materialized out of nowhere, slamming down towards Sun Wukong's head.
