Twenty skeleton warriors surged forward relentlessly.

It didn't matter how powerful the elite monsters were—once the skeleton warriors engaged, they were overwhelmed in seconds. No monster survived more than five seconds in their path.

"This dungeon doesn't seem to have many monsters," David observed.

The enemies were scattered, appearing in small groups, and the experience gain was slow. Instead of wasting time, it was more efficient to lure a large group and take them down all at once.

David didn't summon more skeleton warriors than necessary. Adding more wouldn't improve efficiency.

Marsh never expected dungeon runs to be this easy.

Every time she played a dungeon, she was the one who had to exert the most effort. As a knight, she needed to stand at the front, monitor every enemy's attack, hold aggro, and protect her teammates.

But this time, all she had to do was follow behind, without lifting a finger.

"Necromancers… this class is way too powerful," she thought to herself.

Kevin and Morkel, standing beside her, had the same realization.

The dungeon consisted of a winding tunnel, resembling a deep cave.

A red light spread through the cavern, accompanied by a soft, eerie buzzing sound.

A cursed mark appeared above the python's head.

Instantly, its speed was cut in half.

Now, the skeleton warriors easily overwhelmed it.

They swarmed the python, slashing wildly with their blades.

The cavern echoed with the sound of clashing steel and reptilian shrieks.

Scales cracked, and blood splattered as the python thrashed in agony.

"Is that… a curse?" David asked, noticing the red symbol above the monster's head.

Marsh nodded. "Yes."

Necromancers weren't just summoners—they were also powerful spellcasters.

Stripped of its speed, the python was now forced into direct combat with the skeleton warriors.

It tried to retaliate.

The giant serpent coiled around several skeleton warriors, squeezing tightly.

A sickening crunch echoed through the cavern.

They continued hacking away at the python, blades biting deep into its flesh.

A foul stench filled the cavern as green poison mist spread rapidly.

The skeleton warriors were doused in venom, but Marsh barely noticed a change in their health.

With no sense of pain or fear, they were the perfect frontline force.

The python, despite its strength, had no answer to their relentless attacks.

Two minutes later, with a final agonized shriek, the giant snake collapsed.

Its eyes were filled with unwillingness.

Finally snapping out of their shock, David and the others followed.

Approaching the Mermaid Queen's Palace

Beyond the cavern, a blue sun glowed overhead.

Ahead stood a grand palace.

The disgusting stench from before was gone.

Instead, a faint floral fragrance lingered in the air.

The entire environment had changed.

From where they stood to the palace entrance, squads of guards patrolled the area.

Each squad contained three mermaid soldiers, fully armored and wielding tridents.

They looked imposing and disciplined.

Nobody dared use detection magic—it would alert the guards immediately.

"These guys aren't weak," David muttered, eyeing the soldiers cautiously.

Jeny quickly counted them. "There are 60 squads… that's 180 mermaid soldiers in total."

David frowned. "And they all look like enhanced elite monsters."

Fighting them one-on-one was difficult enough.

Normally, the best strategy would be to pull a few at a time, clearing them out slowly.

It was time-consuming but safe.

Jeny turned to Marsh. "What now? There are too many of them."

But Marsh seemed pleased.

More enemies meant more experience.

"Simple."

Before anyone could react, 20 skeleton warriors charged forward.

The sudden movement immediately drew the attention of the mermaid soldiers.

The squads chased after them.

David's eyes widened. "Wait… is he trying to lure them all at once? That's insane!"

The skeleton warriors sprinted across the field, baiting the entire army.

Meanwhile, Marsh cast detection.

The mermaids retaliated with Frenzied Strike and Stun Sweep.

Sparks flew as skills collided, illuminating the battlefield like fireworks.

Despite the onslaught, the skeleton warriors triumphed.

An elite mermaid soldier fell. Then another.

Marsh turned to Jeny. "Cover your ears."

"Oh!" She obeyed immediately.

David and the others, still confused, had no time to react.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion rocked the battlefield.

Then another. And another.

In mere moments, all 180 mermaid soldiers were annihilated.

David and the others stood frozen as the experience notifications flooded their screens.

"What the hell just happened…?"

As the dust settled, the massive gates of the Mermaid Queen's Palace rumbled open.
