Global Lords: Hundredfold Increments Starting With the Undead

Chapter 478, Controlling the Beast Swarm (Adding more for Alliance Hierarch Xiaobu, who has been owed for several months.)_1

"Take me there to see."

"This way." Anjia said, turning her head and walking to one side.

A group of people followed behind the two and arrived at the west side of the mountain stronghold.

At this time, there were already several soldiers standing guard here.

"Open it." Anjia instructed.

The soldier bent down and flipped open the wooden cover on the ground, revealing a dark tunnel.

Anjia did not pause, she walked straight down into it.

Fang Hao followed behind her, joining her in the descent.

As soon as they stepped in, a cold, damp smell, accompanied by a rotten stench filled the air.

They could even hear the squeaking sounds of rodents.

However, they heard no human voices as Anjia had mentioned.

The staircase down was not long; they reached the bottom after five or six steps.

As soon as they got down, Fang Hao's brow furrowed again.

The sunlight pouring through the entrance illuminated the place a bit.

Below, wooden fences were used to divide individual cages.

Inside the cages were women, dressed in tattered clothes, covered in mud.

They cowered like frightened animals in the corner of the cage, backs toward the outside, shivering uncontrollably.

At the edge of the cage, there was something resembling a manger.

Inside it was food that was black and emitting a strange smell.

Fang Hao's face immediately turned ugly.

But he did not say anything; he continued to follow Anjia further in.

In addition to the women, he also saw children of young age, hiding together with faces full of fear.

Since arriving in this world, Fang Hao had witnessed its cruelty.

But seeing the situation here still left a lump in his throat, making it hard for him to breathe.

Suddenly, Fang Hao noticed several women huddled together.

They kept glancing over in fear, their eyes darting back and forth.

It seemed as if they were trying to block Fang Hao's and others' view.

"Spread out," Fang Hao softly commanded.

The huddled women looked terrified, yet they only unconsciously stepped back two paces before stepping forward again.

This only affirmed Fang Hao's suspicion that they were hiding something.

"Move them aside."

Several heavy infantry soldiers pulled the huddled women away.

Now that the view was no longer blocked.

Fang Hao saw a woman lying on the ground. Her hair was coarse like straw, and her face was sickly pale.

A transmigrator...

Her clothes were open, revealing a somewhat withered chest, nursing the baby in her arms.

Clearly, her condition was not good. She was mechanically patting the child in her arms with vacant eyes.

If this continued, she likely would not survive much longer.

"Please, spare her, she just had a baby."

"Please, spare her."

A chorus of pleas filled the dungeon.

Along with the pleas, cries of children could be heard from the cage where they were locked up.

Fang Hao exhaled slowly, stepping towards the woman on the ground.

The pleas around him turned to curses, filled with venomous words, against these unexpected visitors.

Fang Hao squatted down, letting the woman lean against him.

He opened a bottle of healing potion and poured it into the woman's mouth.

Cough cough!!

Violent coughing brought some life back into the woman's eyes.

She looked at Fang Hao but did not speak.

"I'm Fang Hao, you're safe now, Li Zhenhu and his men have been defeated, you and your child are safe."

Fang Hao said softly.

The woman did not say anything, her hand continued to pat the child in her arms.

It was unclear whether she heard what Fang Hao said.

At this time, the dungeon had quieted down, and everyone seemed to realize, perhaps this man wasn't with the bandits.

Every single one of them was looking at Fang Hao, their previously dull eyes now sparked with a kind of light.

As though they have seen a glimmer of hope.

"Go, take some men to register everyone, ask for the names of their villages, after registering, take everyone out and prepare food." Fang Hao instructed softly.

"All right!" Anjia responded.

Anjia could barely read and write, but the soldiers she had recruited all had some basic education.

One of the racial features included learning.

Carrying out registration was entirely within their capabilities.

Once he had given his instructions, Fang Hao carried the woman with the black hair and baby out.

He had them settled in a room.

...

Fang Hao had constructed a Troop Hiding Cave outside the mountain stronghold.

He had Spencer place all the undead soldiers within the cave.

As for Spencer himself, he had put on a suit of armor that covered his entire body.

Unless someone from the Church of Light was present, no one would be able to tell that he was an undead from his appearance.

After all, his entire body was still fleshy, not as obvious as a skeleton.

Clip clop clip clop!!

At this moment, a trusted aide rode up on a horse.

He spoke loudly: "City Lord, Madame wants to know your plans next."

The guards of Lyss City referred to Fang Hao as the City Lord and Rebecca as Madame.

Fang Hao said: "We will rest here for the night, then continue our journey tomorrow."

"Yes, City Lord." The trusted aide responded, then turned to leave.

...

Soon enough.

A delicious aroma filled the mountain stronghold.

It was the smell of meat porridge, many ingredients were added to it, making the aroma even richer.

It spread throughout the stronghold.

Not far off, Anjia had completed the registration.

She led a group of women and children out of the dungeon.

But when they emerged under the glaring sunlight, everyone seemed a bit dazed.
