Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!

Chapter 480: Heir Of A HIdden Clan?

Noah ignored Zhang Ying and walked towards the table to pick his own set of herbs. Seeing her face, he recalled she was the woman he and Ruo'er encountered on their way back from subjugating the Red Dawn Cult's base. He did not provoke her because he was angry or annoyed by her attitude. In his eyes, her actions were nothing more than an unruly child throwing tantrums.

The only reason he acted out of character was to draw out a certain someone.

From the corner of his eye, he noticed another cloaked figure hidden among the spectators in the stadium. He could practically feel the chilling killing intent flaring from the woman, invisible to others. He was surprised she managed to hold herself back, but he had already predicted such an outcome and his actions were part of a long-term plan.

"These herbs…" One of the Rank 4 alchemists, still watching Noah, frowned as he saw the herbs Noah was picking.

"Is there something wrong with those herbs?" Another alchemist standing beside him asked curiously.

"It's not that there is something wrong with those herbs, but…" The slightly older man hesitated while someone else continued to speak.

"Yin Feral Lotus! Moon Grace Lily! Burning Red Seed! Pure Yang Spirit Fruit! The Core of an unknown core-level beast…" The young man recalled the names of the herbs Noah was picking. "I read about those herbs in a directory.

All the herbs he is picking are of conflicting nature. Is he really an alchemist, let alone Rank 5?"

Gasps of shock echoed on the stage. The alchemists who understood the principle of harmony in pill formation knew what Noah was doing was practically begging for a cauldron explosion. Even the rank 5 alchemist supervising the event did not understand why Noah was picking those herbs.

"Are you sure you want to make a pill from those herbs?" Zhang San couldn't help but ask in confusion. Had he not seen Noah make a rank 5 pill, he would have directly disqualified him from the tournament.

Noah smiled and gave a small nod before turning around to leave in the direction of his cauldron. Shaking his head, the third brother sighed but did not say anything.

"You could have just given up. Why go through so much trouble as making a fool of yourself?" Zhang Ying smirked at Noah, showing her contemptuous gaze while laughing at his futile efforts.

Noah simply ignored the woman, as if her words did not even reach his ears, and waved his hand, causing the herbs to hover in the air.

"You can start!"

With a soft exclamation from Zhang Yi, Noah snapped his fingers.

*Woosh!*

A huge pillar of fire shot from the cauldron, reaching the air and breaking the formation around Noah as if someone had punched through rice paper.

"Whaaa…"

"How is that possible?"

"Just how powerful is that young man?"

The people who were in awe of his power gasped in shock. Seeing him hovering in the air, they all thought he was in the Core Formation realm, but high-level cultivators clearly sensed his cultivation.

"Golden Core realm??" Zhang Ben, like the rest of the clan heads, stood up in shock.

"Just what monstrous power does this heir come from?" Not just in alchemy, Noah's talent in cultivation also shocked them.

"This boy… is he really not affiliated with the royal family? Not even the emperor is as talented as him." The sect leader of the Alchemy Pavilion, hidden in the crowd, frowned, seeing Noah's cultivation. There was no sense of falsehood in his cultivation; he was really a Golden Core-level cultivator!

She couldn't accept it at all. "Did someone from the hidden clans send out their heir to mess with the sects?"

It was not just her; even the others who knew about his cultivation thought that Noah was someone from a very mysterious and powerful background. In a sense, their words were not wrong. After all, Noah had the world as his sugar mommy.

"Golden Core realm?" The color drained from Zhang Ying's face as she trembled, sensing his cultivation. She clenched her fingers into a fist. That was the level of strength their sect elders had, not someone in their 20s, and each of these sect elders was in their 80s or even older.

"So what if you are a monstrous talent? So what if you have higher cultivation than me?" Suddenly her eyes turned bloodshot as she released her own fire. "They have nothing to do with alchemy!"

While she was flaring in rage, the three supervisors looked at Noah with wary gazes. From the corner of their eyes, they could see their Captain Black Sword slightly trembling under the aura of the young boy.

"Just who is this person?"

The pillar of flames died down and covered the cauldron closely. Noah didn't have to put on such a flashy display, but he didn't plan to hide his strength. Besides, he wanted to remove the formation as well. He could only feel the excitement of refining a pill while feeling the heat of the fire and the free wind of the air around him.

While the whole arena was under the shock and excitement of the unknown genius, two pairs of gazes lurked in the shadows of the arena, looking at Noah through the darkness of their cloaks.

"Did you find anything about his background?"

"…Nothing. It's as if he appeared out of thin air. He was only seen once a couple of months ago in the capital, and on that day, there was a commotion in the city."

After that, silence dawned between the two of them.

"Are we going to recruit him? It would be a shame to let a talent like this turn into a sacrifice."

The same male-female voice that replied before spoke again, looking at Noah with an obsessive look in her purple, snake-like eyes.

Two gazes with unclear intentions looked at Noah for a while before disappearing into the shadows. Unknown to them, their existence had already been exposed the moment they laid their eyes on Noah.
