Genshin Impact: This Trainee Fatui Harbinger is Too Unreliable

Chapter 240: This Trainee Fatui Harbinger is Too Unreliable [240]

Before arriving, Kamisato Ayaka had mentally prepared herself for countless possible scenarios when meeting the other women in Luo Qing's life.

She imagined being mocked, sneered at, or even scolded in front of Luo Qing—accused of trying to steal him.

But she wasn't afraid. No difficulty could deter her from being with Luo Qing.

Even if the price was sharing him with others.

She understood the reality.

But why was the Raiden Shogun here?

Could those rumors really be true? Could Luo Qing actually be… the Shogun's lover?!

Ayaka's mind raced with chaotic thoughts, leaving her feeling completely flustered.

Her wide eyes darted between the Shogun, who stood in the living room brimming with killing intent, and the table of other women nearby.

Her pupils dilated further.

Two… two Shoguns?!

Her gaze locked with Makoto's for a moment, and it felt like lightning struck her. Frozen at the base of the stairs, she hesitated, unsure whether to step into the battlefield or retreat entirely.

Wasn't this supposed to be a small gathering? A cozy night playing games? Why are there two Raiden Shoguns here?!

"Um… Luo Qing, did I come at a bad time?" Ayaka's small hands nervously clutched the hem of her skirt, her head lowered like a kitten that had wandered into a wolf's den.

"Ayaka…"

Only now did Luo Qing remember his original plan for the night: introducing Makoto and Ayaka to each other.

He hadn't expected Shenhe and Ganyu to storm in from Liyue—or for the Raiden Shogun and Ei to make an appearance.

Was the universe punishing him for building a harem? Did the heavens despise him so much they had to send this chaos to test him?

"No, not at all," Luo Qing said, shaking his head. He glanced at the ceiling as if asking for mercy.

"You're just in time, Ayaka."

If chaos is inevitable, let the storm come.

"Then…" Ayaka began, but her voice faltered.

The Shogun, still holding her blade, suddenly pressed a hand to her forehead, her expression pained as she spoke to herself.

"You promised… you'd listen to me on this trip."

"This is Sumeru. If you act recklessly, you'll bring trouble to all of Inazuma…"

"Take Luo Qing away?! How could you even think that!"

"Damn you…"

It had been a long time since Ei last felt the anguish of struggling for control against her puppet.

But unlike the previous battles for dominance, the Shogun's resolve was even stronger this time. No matter what, she was determined to reclaim control of her body.

Moments later, the Shogun's eyes turned cold and emotionless.

She had won.

"Luo Qing…"

Looking up, the Raiden Shogun's eyes glimmered with lightning. Her blade radiated a faint, destructive energy, and her voice carried an icy edge.

"Who are these women?"

"..."

[+1 Frustration Points from Luo Qing]

How did she even find out I was in Sumeru?! Who told her where I lived?!

Whoever it was, they're in for a world of hurt once I find them.

"Shogun, please, let's be rational. This is Sumeru—"

"Rational?" she interrupted with a cold laugh.

"The most important person to me is being taken away, and you want me to be rational?"

Her grip on the blade tightened as she began to approach Luo Qing.

"..." Luo Qing sighed inwardly. Am I really going to have to fight her here?

How could I have been so reckless with that affection booster card?

This mess is mine to fix.

But just as Luo Qing prepared to offer himself up to diffuse the situation, the women behind him sprang into action.

Shenhe and Ganyu stepped forward—one wielding an ice spear, the other a longbow. They positioned themselves between Luo Qing and the Shogun.

Behind them, Theresa and Rosalyn rushed to Luo Qing's sides, resolute in their roles as his loyal subordinates.

Even Ayaka, who had been frozen at the stairs, gathered her courage and hurried to stand in front of him.

"Raiden Shogun, this is Sumeru. Please calm down," Ganyu said politely but firmly.

To her, whether or not she had to share Luo Qing with others was one thing; protecting him from harm was another matter entirely.

Shenhe's thoughts were even simpler: No one can hurt Luo Qing. No one but me.

"Shogun, I implore you to reconsider," Ayaka added, her voice trembling.

She still vividly remembered the last time the Shogun had stabbed Luo Qing through the chest. She didn't understand the circumstances back then, but she couldn't bear to witness it happen again.

"Hmph, Kamisato girl… so you're involved too?" The Shogun's gaze swept across the women standing against her.

"And you all dare to compete with me for Luo Qing?"

Crackling lightning surged around her as her killing intent filled the room.

The Shogun's blade flashed, cutting through the air as it aimed at the group.

Her emotions boiled over. Meeting Luo Qing had brought color and warmth into her monotonous existence, and she wasn't willing to let anyone else take him from her.

Not the Kamisato girl, not the women of Liyue, and not even Ei herself.

The sheer pressure of her divine aura left the women momentarily paralyzed. The Shogun's power was undeniable, equal to that of a god in her prime.

They stood no chance of withstanding her.

But just as her blade was about to strike, Luo Qing stepped forward.

Standing calmly in front of the women, hands clasped behind his back, he finally donned a serious expression.

As someone striving to build a harem, how could I let my girls stand in harm's way?

The Shogun's blade froze mid-swing, mere centimeters from Luo Qing's neck.

"Why don't you finish it?" Luo Qing asked coolly.

"Step aside," the Shogun demanded. "Don't blame me if my blade shows no mercy."

"If this is my fault, then it's only fair for you to strike me down," Luo Qing replied, tilting his head slightly to allow the blade to rest against his neck.

"Go ahead. Strike me, and we'll be even."

"..."

The Shogun's cold gaze lingered on Luo Qing. Her heart churned with countless emotions, but she couldn't find the words to express them.

She knew—if she truly struck him now, it would sever their bond forever.

From that moment onward, they would be nothing more than parallel lines, never to intersect again.

A wave of bitterness surged in her chest.

She was his first kiss. Other than that one thing she hadn't given him, Luo Qing had already taken everything he could.

All I want is to stay with him forever. To make him meals, let him rest on my lap, and… share happiness together. However he wants.

Any pose he desires.

Yet now, he was pushing her away.

He was rejecting her.

And he dared to act like it was all her fault.
