Genius admiral in another world

Austin returns to the campsite to see Amon and his wife asleep in their carriage.

He then turns to his tent and goes to lay down. 

as he closes his eyes his mind lingers on the word's firth said to him 

Everything goes dark before a white light shines and wakes him up 

He realizes he is back in Salacia's space 

He looks around for her stumbling upon the table he and her sat at 

"Well, well well look who showed up" Salacia said from behind 

"AH!" Austin shouts as he turns around to see her 

"So, what am I doing here this time" Austin asks

"Before that please take a seat" Salacia say's pointing towards the table

They both sit down at the table while a tea kettle begins to pour itself into their cups 

"Now as for why you're here a little wind told me you met the forest's guardian spirit" Salacia say's while sipping at her tea 

"Yeah, you're talking about firth right?" Austin replies 

"I didn't think she would show herself so someone ordinary, but then again you are unordinary" Salacia say's

"What do you mean by that?" Austin asks 

"You're not from this world and not only that but you also carry the blessing of a god" Salacia responds

"Then she show's herself to anyone with a god blessing?" Austin asks

"No not really, not everyone can see her" Salacia responds

"Only people with spirit mana in them can see her" Salacia adds

"Wait spirit magic I thought there was magic based on the 4 elements?" Austins asks 

"Well technically speaking it's a dead form of magic one that died out centuries ago when magic wasn't used in combat anymore" Salacia responds

"So, I'm a rare talent then?" Austin asks

"Yes, you are, but I wouldn't be so happy about it as many spirits died off over the years as the magic that supported them began to disappear" Salacia say's

"What do you mean?" Austin asked with a worried expression

"The spirits of this world feed off of the mana that comes out of the world to live but as time progressed and humankind stopped using magic on a large scale, the spirits began to die off in the human settlements as the magic that kept them alive dissipated." Salacia said with a sad look in her eye's

"The spirits that remained left the Human settlements and went to live with settlements such as those of Demi-humans and Elves." Salacia adds

"So, what about the spirit I saw?" Austin asks

"Firth is a guardian spirit she draws her energy from the nature around her not the world like the other spirits, she was that forest's guardian for the past millennia" Salacia replied 

"And I'm pretty sure she also told you a prophecy, no?" Salacia ask's

"Yeah, but I didn't think anything of it" Austin responds finishing his tea

"Is that so?" Salacia say's

"You know the prophecies that spirits tell are usually on the nose when it comes to the future even more when it's about people" Salacia tells Austin

"I recommend taking heed to what she told you because if you ignore it you it will have consequences" Salacia said in an Authoritative tone 

"I'll be fine I don't believe she could tell my future from one meeting" Austin responds

"Well, if that's what you think then I can only say good luck" Salacia say's

After she finishes her sentence Austin wakes up in the morning feeling sluggish 

Amon comes to his tent to wake him up 

"Oh, you're already awake I see" Amon said 

"Come on its time to get back on the road" Amon says gesturing for Autin to come out of his tent

Austin gets up and starts to pack up his belongings and tent 

After his finishes he hops into the back of the carriage and the group continues towards the city

"You have a rough night?" Amon asks

"No, why would you ask?" Austin responds

"It sounded like you did you were talking in your sleep when we woke up" Amon

"Oh, I did? Don't worry it noting much" Austin replied

The group continues the road towards to city passing by smaller villages surrounding it 

After 2 hours of traveling on the road they arrived at the gates of the city

They get to the entrance guards walk up to the carriage

"Identification" one guard say's extending out his hand 

Amon hands them his and his wife's Identification cards 

"You in the back ill have yours too" the other guard say's 

Austin looks at the confusingly 

"I don't have an Identification card" Austin say's 

"Then we can't let you in without one" the guard responds

"Austin didn't you say you were coming here for the naval training?" Amon asks

"Yeah, I am" Austin responds

"Then do you have a card or registration form?" the guard asks

Austin reaches into his bag and pulls out the card Memerla gave him 

The guard takes the card and reads what its say's

"So, you're joining the navy huh?" the guard asks

"Word of advice don't stick out too much" the guard say's handing back the card to Austin

"Thanks" Austin say's talking the card back 

"ALRIGHT LET THEM THROUGH" the guard shouts 

The doors to the city open and Austin is taken aback as he sees the beautiful architecture and grandness of the city

Amon pulls the carriage aside and Austin gets out 

"Well, this is the end for you hope you do well in training" Amon says

"Thank you for the ride hope you and your wife make it back safe" Austin responds 

both wave each other goodbye and Austin walks towards the naval supply office to receive his gear 

He arrives at the supply office and opens the door with a bell ringing upon his entrance

"Hello anyone there" Austin asks

A head the pops out from behind the curtains 

"Hello there, you must be a new recruit huh?" the person asks 

"Yes I was given this card here to get my gear" Austin say's while hand over the card

"Well let's get you fitted for your uniform first stand over that magic circle over there" The person says pointing towards the circle

Austin walks over to the circle, and it starts to glow as he stands into with a piece of paper then glowing with writing appearing on it with his measurements

"Alright now here's what you will need for basic training" The person says while walking Austins to the back 

"You'll get 5 pairs of workout clothes 2 sets of sleep wear, a pair of boots, 5 pairs of socks, and a mana crystal" the person say's handing them over to Austin 

"Is this all I'll really need?" Austin asks 

"Yep, that's it" The person responds 

"And what's your name?" Austin asks the person

"I am Seaman John, which is both my name and rank, so you better show the proper respect" John say's

"Now you're training doesn't start until tomorrow morning so you better go home and rest up because you must be here early in the morning" John say's to Austin

"Then do you know where the nearest inn is?" Austin asks 

"If you go down the street then turn on the 2nd left you'll see the Early Dawn Inn" John replies 

"They give free room and board to navy cadets before their training starts so you better get there before they fill up" John adds

"Also, you'll need this for a room" John say's handing a card to Austin

"Alright thank you for the gear" Austins say's

"No problem just be sure to be there on time tomorrow" John replies 

Austin makes his way to the Inn passing by many Navy soldiers in their uniforms along the way 

Then he sees the naval vessels that they work on docked in the harbor with many of them damaged and being repaired by naval engineers

He remembers how they were being driven back on the sea and the dire times the kingdom was facing

He reaches the Early Dawn Inn and opens the door

"Hi, welcome in what can I do for you" The receptionist asks

"I'm here for the navy training as told to come here" Austin responds

"Ah I see do you have a card from the supply office" The receptionist asks

"Yeah, here you go" Austin say's handing the card to her

"Alright Austin here is your room key it's on the 3rd floor at the end of the hall" The receptionist tells him

"Thank you" Austin replies

Austin walks up the stairs towards his room and opens the door to see only a bed, desk, and wardrobe in the room with a lantern at the bedside

Austins sets his things aside and walks back down to see the town before he goes in 

As he is walking around looking through the windows to see the good's the shops are selling he hears a commotion near one of the store's

As he walks towards the sound someone bumps into him and see's elf ears as the hood she is wearing falls back 

She looks at him with a terrified look in her eyes as he hears men shouting in the distance 

"Find her she's the most prized slave we have" One of the men shouts

Austin thinking quickly moves into a nearby ally way and hides her in a barrel 

The men catch up and ask Austin 

"Did you see a girl run past here in a hood" One of the men asks 

"Yeah, she ran towards the docks" Austin say's while pointing towards the pier

The men run towards that direction and Austin breathes a sigh of relief 

He opens the lid on the barrel and tells the girl

"It's alright to come out now" 

As gets out of the barrel he sees the state she is bruised, Bleeding from her leg and marks of where she was bound by ropes with a slave collar around her neck

He looks at the state she is in and thinks to himself
