Chapter 15: Sword Art Online: Alicization!OC X Worm - All that glitters is not Golden -

"Good morning class, unfortunately do to some... Less than savoury circumstances last week, your previous teacher is no longer here." Ten's of pairs of eyes all stared down at her as she stood in front of the classroom. 'I wonder if the being that sent me here orchestrated this situation.' "For the rest of your time here, I'm going to be your new World Issues teacher." She turned to the blackboard, the chalk in her hand smoothly writing in beautiful Calligraphy.

She turned back to the class, pointing at it with her hand. "We're going to be starting today with something simple, before moving onto the syllabus that's been provided to me." On the board were 4 Questions; Name, a like and a dislike, a future dream and a hobby. "I want each of you to write down the following on a piece of paper and hand it to me before the end of class, but I'll go first."

"My name is Alice Zuberg, I quite like Ramen and dislike Neo-Nazi's." Instantly, a 3rd of her class bristled, glares became directed at her. "My dream for the future is to have you all graduate as upstanding members of society, and as for a hobby?" She cross her arms and closed her eye, thinking it over for a second.

"Reading Manga." She turned around, erasing the words from the board. "Now, let's see here..." She promptly sat down at her desk. She ruffled through the papers, a frown growing on her face as she turned page after page. "Good Lord, that's a lot of cape centric stuff..." She muttered.

"Alright then, open your text books and turn to page 223. We'll be going over the Madison Exclusion zone, what happened there and why it is what it is now." Groans erupted from the class, "This is the first step of our new unit, where we will be going over the impact capes have had on our lives." Her eyes roamed across the seating, eventually landing on the lone girl who didn't have a textbook, a quick glance at the assigned seating showed said girl to be on Taylor Hebert.

"Miss Hebert?" Taylor's eyes widened, her last name being pronounced correctly caught her off guard. "Please come to the front of the class, I see you don't have your textbook out. I assume this is because you forgot yours in your locker, you may share mine." Taylor seemed to receded in on her self as one girl matching the description and seat position of Madison Clements glared.

"Do you have something to say, Miss Clements?" Clearly, both weren't expecting me to pick up on that glare. "Oh, Um." Ah, didn't know what to say? "Clearly you have something to say, you were glaring at another student, were you not?" Taylor looked absolutely mortified, "Bah, it doesn't matter. Not right now, at least."

A shiver went up student's spines as they watched their new teach level a half lidded stare at the "Popular and Cute" girl, her lips set in a small smile that gave nothing but foreboding. *Clap Clap* The class flinched at her claps, Taylor quickly moved up to the teachers' desk, standing there awkwardly.

"Miss Hebert, please see me after class, I have some things to discuss with you." Madison smiled Devilishly, clearly thinking that Taylor would be in trouble, as the girl looked absolutely lost. "Now, let's continue our lesson, we only have so much time to learn." The class quickly resumed what it was doing, while one Taylor Anne Hebert felt a pit form in her stomach.

...

"Alright class, clean up your things and get going, I'm letting you leave 5 minutes early today, so enjoy your lunch." Miss Zuberg called to the class, I couldn't help the weightless feeling of dread that welled up in my stomach. What was going to happen, was she going to punish me for no reason? Was she going to single me out and pick on me?

"The homework for today, I want you all to think about capes and how they've impacted the world around you. Directly and Indirectly, this is an essay assignment, with the goal to hit 3 thousands words." Groans came from students, clearly unhappy. "I understand 3 thousand might be much for some of you, which is why that's a goal to reach, I want a minimum of 15 hundred words by Monday when you hand them in."

Clearly she singled me out for a reason, and I doubt it was because of my textbook. So what could this meeting be for? Soon the students cleared from the classroom, with Miss Zuberg waving them off with a smile. Madison lingered at the door before it was shut and the blinds drawn. I watched her walk back to the desk, a dark blue dress with a beige overcoat accentuating her more feminine body than mine.

...

"Hello Taylor." I wanted to give her a pat on the head but settled for one on her shoulder. Causing her to shrink in on herself more. "I understand you're probably confused about this situation, but I believe this is a necessary talk." I reached down into my cabinet draw that I set up this morning when I came in. I plopped a large binder down, clearly causing the girl to pale even more and stutter out, trying to find words.

"The School board and Super intendant specifically placed me here after the fiasco with Mr. Gladly and Miss Jones were caught." You see, it's weird. I know how to teach a class despite never doing so, I know how to fight with a sword and activate all these swords skills despite never learning or being from the SAO world.

I died, shot in the heart, and woke up here, in my apartment with a packet in front of me explaining everything and my "assignment" from this world's new me. Of course, I was now Alice Synthesis Thirty, but I was always good at adapting.

"We believe this school is a drain on the public school system and the economy of Brockton bay itself. The school has, quite frankly, gone astray. And I've been able to collect numerous bits of evidence about this." I pushed the binder forward, toward Taylor. "Take a deep breath in, One, Two, Three, Four. Out, One, Two, Three, Four." Clearly she can still listen to me as she's starting to have a panic attack.

"Name one thing you can touch right now." She mumbled about the armrest of the chair, her eyes unfocused. "Smell?" Wood, of-course, I would smell like the trees I carry with me everywhere. "Hear?" My voice, good, her eyes are coming back in focus. "See?" Golden hair, correct. "Taste?" Ash, is not a good taste.

"Are you with me?" I asked, taking things slow. Getting a nod, I nodded back, this was good. "Then you can look," I gestured to the binder before me, "Numerous crimes, faculty failing and others things among them, and an entire section dedicated to what has happened to you." I scowled at the book, "Teachers neglecting you, students out right assaulting you, spreading rumours and lies, we have a very solid case to close this school down."

Taylor looked up at me, disbelief on her face. "You, are my lynch pin in this." I started tapping the still closed book. "Why." Her voice was soft and meek. Something only someone so damaged could deliver. "The locker." her eyes instantly locked onto me. "I read the report, and I suspect that even if the hospital didn't find any evidence nor did the police or PRT look into it.... You triggered." Her face changed, to fear as she shot from the chair and moved backwards.

Bugs started to swarm in the room, crawling in from everywhere. Yet I sat still, unbothered, I assume she thinks I'm part of the E88. "I'm not here with a recruitment pitch, nor am I part of the E88."

"How do I know I can trust you." She was defensive, looking for a way out of this situation. The buzzing of the insects, barely a nuisance. "You don't, I only suspected you triggered, you just confirmed it for me." She scowled. "I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life, one that isn't plagued by pointless dick waving contests, so to be fair to you, Skitter." She back away even more as I stood, her bugs forming a rough shield in front of her.

I reached my hand out, grabbing onto both scabbards. My Fragrant Olive Sword and Kirito's Night Sky Sword. My armour replacing my clothes. "You may call me Alice Synthesis Thirty. I know your civilian name, and you know mine. You know I wish to live a quiet life, and you know how to stop that." I released my pull, my armour and weapons disappearing. I sat back down.

"Now, how would you like to get back at the trio of girls who've wrong you so?" I rested my chin on my hands, elbows on the desk, as I stared through the cloud of bugs into her eyes.
