Chapter 62: Chapter 60: Evan's Sisters... You Are A Witch...
The Next Day...
Leo woke up to the sight of the ornate ceiling in Hagoromo Kitsune's room.
Sunlight peeked through the delicate silk curtains, casting a warm glow on the luxurious chamber.
With a yawn, he stretched his arms, careful not to disturb Hagoromo, who clung to him affectionately, her soft embrace pulling him closer to her bosom even in her sleep.
Sliding out of her hold with practised ease, Leo chuckled softly at her peaceful expression before muttering under his breath:
'System status.'
A familiar chime echoed in his mind as the system responded promptly.

After collecting the reward from the system and reviewing his updated status, Leo nodded in satisfaction.
The rewards might not have been as overpowered as some of his previous ones, but they were practical and marked a solid start toward integrating himself into this magical world.
Freshening up in the restroom, he readied himself for a jog, a ritual that always helped him clear his mind and prepare for the day ahead.
The park was alive with activity, a peaceful haven in the heart of Cokeworth.
The vibrant greenery contrasted beautifully with the playful laughter of children.
Leo arrived after completing his jogging routine, his sharp gaze observing the surroundings as he cooled down with light stretches.
He eventually took a seat on the soft green grass of a secluded corner, letting the serene ambience wash over him.
Children darted around, their laughter echoing through the air, while parents sat on benches or joined in games.
Today was a holiday, and the kids were bursting with energy, eager to spend the day with friends.
"Whoa~!"
A woman's panicked voice suddenly broke through the peaceful atmosphere, pulling Leo's attention.
"Dear, look! Lily—she's about to fall from the tree!"
The urgency in her tone made Leo snap his head in the direction of the voice.
"Shit... Catch her!"
A man's voice followed, filled with fear and desperation.
Leo stood immediately, walking toward the commotion.
Behind a nearby tree, he spotted the source: a young girl with striking red hair, her locks shimmering like flames under the sunlight.
She was perched precariously on a tree branch, her wide grin reflecting her spirited determination.
She had climbed the tree, likely in an attempt to impress the older girl below—her big sister, judging by the resemblance.
But the branch gave way, and the girl, "Lily," began to fall.
Her sister looked on in terror, her arms outstretched but clearly too far away to catch her.
Their parents stood frozen, their faces pale with fear as they watched helplessly.
Leo's instincts urged him to intervene, but as he moved, he paused.
His heightened senses detected a surge of magical energy emanating from the girl.
It swirled violently, like a dam about to burst, and within moments, her accidental magic took effect.
"Mom! Dad!"
The older sister's shout wavered as, to everyone's astonishment, Lily's rapid descent slowed.
Her fall became almost dreamlike, as though she were drifting through thick water.
The parents gasped, their expressions shifting from horror to disbelief, while Lily herself blinked in confusion, her arms flailing as she hovered just inches above the ground.
Leo emerged from behind the tree, his calm and composed demeanour contrasting with the family's stunned reactions.
He reached out effortlessly, gently taking Lily into his arms.
The girl clung to him instinctively, her small body trembling slightly as she looked up at him with wide, green eyes.
"Are you alright, little princess?"
Leo's amused chuckle and warm tone drew her attention.
Slowly, she opened her vibrant green eyes, staring curiously at the stranger who held her.
She blinked, surprised that she wasn't hurt.
Behind them, the voices of her parents broke the moment.
"Lily! Are you alright?"
The woman who had shouted earlier—likely the girl's mother—rushed forward, her face pale with worry.
"Um..."
Lily, still embarrassed from being carried by an older boy, blushed furiously.
She nodded shyly, her gaze dropping to avoid her mother's intense scrutiny.
With a gentle smile, Leo placed Lily back on the ground.
Her father, a broad man with a thick moustache and an imposing presence, stepped forward, extending a hand.
"Thanks, young man. That was quick thinking. I'm Jack Evans, and this is my wife, Camellia. Come here, Petunia."
Jack gestured to the older girl, who hesitated before joining her family.
He ruffled her hair affectionately before continuing.
"This is my eldest daughter, Petunia, and the little daredevil you saved is Lily."
Jack shook Leo's hand firmly, his gratitude clear in his broad smile.
"Thank you for saving Lily,"
Camellia added sincerely, her face softening into a relieved smile.
Leo nodded politely but couldn't help sighing inwardly.
'Who would've thought I'd meet Lily Evans and her family here of all places?'
The knowledge of Lily's future weighed heavily on him.
She was destined to become a pivotal figure whose tragic death would set the stage for her son's role as the saviour of the wizarding world.
"No need to thank me, Mrs. Evans,"
Leo replied, shaking his head.
"I didn't do much. Your daughter is special."
He glanced at Lily, who was now peering up at him with open curiosity.
At Leo's words, Jack and Camellia exchanged uneasy glances.
Their reaction made it clear that Lily's magical burst wasn't the first unusual incident they'd witnessed.
"You don't need to worry,"
Leo added gently, raising his hands to reassure them.
"This is normal for young witches and wizards. Magical bursts happen when their magic begins to awaken."
"Witch?"
Camellia's voice trembled with a mixture of intrigue and trepidation.
Her eyes, desperate for answers, locked onto Leo's.
Leo cursed silently under his breath, realizing he might've said too much.
"Damn... My mouth. Let's sit down, and I'll explain everything."
He gestured toward the grassy spot where he'd been resting earlier.
The family followed their expressions a mix of curiosity and anxiety.
Once they were seated, Leo carefully explained the existence of the wizarding world and how Lily's magical outbursts signified her potential as a witch.
He detailed Hogwarts, the education system for young witches and wizards, and the safety it would provide for someone with Lily's abilities.
Jack's face broke into a proud grin as he processed the revelation.
"Haha! As expected of my daughter!"
His booming laughter startled a few passersby but eased the tension within the family.
Camellia, on the other hand, sighed in relief.
"So, it's not dangerous. Thank goodness."
"Can I become a witch too?"
The soft, hesitant question came from Petunia, who tugged on Leo's shirt.
Her wide, hopeful eyes looked up at him, brimming with expectation.
Leo hesitated, his expression turning solemn.
He knew this moment was pivotal.
Petunia's jealousy of Lily's magical abilities would one day fester into resentment, ultimately shaping her character into the bitter and abusive woman Harry Potter would grow up with.
After a pause, Leo knelt to meet her gaze.
"Let me check."
He took Petunia's hand and concentrated.
To his surprise, he detected a faint magical fluctuation within her—a spark of potential.
However, it was too weak for her to naturally develop into a full-fledged witch.
Leo contemplated his options before reaching into his system's inventory.
"Eat this,"
he said, holding out a small pill.
"It will help you have a magical outburst, but you must keep this a secret. Tell no one about it."
Petunia's eyes widened as she stared at the pill.
"Is this... magic?"
The sudden appearance of the pill from thin air captivated both sisters, their imaginations running wild.
Petunia looked to her parents and Lily, who waited eagerly for her decision.
Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and swallowed the pill.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then, in a flash of light, Petunia vanished from her spot.
Gasps filled the air as everyone turned to see her reappear on top of the same tree Lily had fallen from earlier.
"Petunia!"
Camellia cried, her voice filled with both shock and fear.
Jack stared, his jaw slack, while Lily clapped her hands in delight.
Leo, unfazed, drew his wand and pointed it at Petunia.
"Wingardium Leviosa."
The spell lifted Petunia gently off the tree branch, lowering her safely to the ground.
She stumbled slightly upon landing but grinned from ear to ear, her excitement palpable.
"I did magic!"
Petunia exclaimed, spinning around to face her family.
Jack and Camellia embraced her, their faces beaming with pride.
Lily, however, looked at her sister with newfound admiration.
Leo watched the scene unfold, his expression unreadable.
He'd given Petunia a chance to rewrite her fate, but only time would tell how it would shape her future.
'Let's see how this changes the story.'
were the only thoughts in his mind there was no disappointment in his decision to change Evan's sister's fate.
