Chapter 630: 629 I will accompany him upstairs first
Gu Kai frowned in thought, about to say something, when the ringtone of his mobile phone suddenly sounded.
He checked his mobile phone and saw that the call came from Shen Yuting.
Upon hearing that Wen Ran had returned, Shen Yuting also hurried over.
“Ranran, I heard that you are getting better. You seem to have a more radiant complexion compared to before,” She said.
As Shen Yuting arrived, she first gave Wen Ran a hug. After releasing her, her eyes evaluated Wen Ran from head to toe before she broke into a delighted smile.
Wen Ran also smiled brightly, saying happily, “Yes, with a little more time for recovery, I will be completely well.”
Shen Yuting nodded, “Take good care of yourself then. Anyway, Mo Xiuchen has resigned so he can be by your side all day. With his guidance, you should gain weight soon.”
She glanced at Mo Xiuchen standing beside Wen Ran. His eyebrows were relaxed, his eyes gentle, and his mouth curved into a slight smile. His gaze remained on Wen Ran, only shifting away after greeting her.
“Yuting, Ranran is going to work at the pharmaceutical factory tomorrow. She is probably the type who can’t gain weight no matter what she eats. Even if Xiuchen is with her 24 hours a day making her eat nonstop, she probably won’t gain much weight,” jested Gu Kai.
Shen Yuting, surprised, asked, “Ranran, you’re not fully recovered yet. Why are you going back to work? Xiuchen, did you agree to this?”
“Yes, Ranran will be helping Ah Jin for a few days, I believe he won’t let Ranran tire herself out,” Mo Xiuchen explained with a smile. This was also why he felt reassured about letting Ranran go back to work. He knew how dearly Wen Jin loved Wen Ran, and it was not any less than him, her husband.
In fact, even if he one day leaves Ranran, there are still many people to look after her.
Be it Wen Jin or Gu Kai, they, along with Ah Mu are the kind of brothers who dearly love Ranran and can’t bear to see her get hurt…
Hence, even if Mo Xiuchen feels some reluctance and sadness thinking about certain things, he doesn’t worry about Ranran’s life without him.
After hearing what Mo Xiuchen had to say, Shen Yuting didn’t argue further and, sitting down, asked Wen Ran about what she did in City A.

“Mr. President, Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran are back in City G,” reported Cheng Jia to Mo Zixuan in his office atop the MS Group building.
Mo Zixuan had made a deal with her; both parties had gotten what they wanted, with a common goal—to separate Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran.
“They’re back?”
Mo Zixuan lifted his head from the documents and looked at Cheng Jia standing in front of him, her eyes filled with suppressed excitement and eagerness, “Yes, they returned this morning. Mr. President, we can proceed with our plan now.”
“Don’t rush. You can go back to work first. I will inform you when the time is right.”
After deliberating for a while, Mo Zixuan dismissed Cheng Jia with a wave of his hand.
Cheng Jia pursed her lips and left the office.
Mo Zixuan made a call to inform Mo Jingteng that Mo Xiuchen had returned. He then arranged some work before grabbing his car keys and left the office.
He agreed to cooperate with Cheng Jia, but not wholeheartedly.
In Mo Zixuan’s view, Cheng Jia was not trustworthy. She was once a chess piece cultivated by his mother, yet she fell deeply in love with Mo Xiuchen and betrayed his mother. Such a woman might betray him at any given moment.
Compared to Cheng Jia, he trusted Mo Jingteng more.
After all, he was Mo Jingteng’s biological son. This made him realize that being a president was not as glamorous and enviable as outsiders saw it.
He hadn’t had a proper night’s sleep for days and was buried under countless documents needing approval and countless decisions waiting to be made. The external worry and internal turmoil were all accumulated, making him feel suffocated.
Ever since he talked to Mo Jingteng at the hospital, Mo Zixuan suddenly understood his inner thoughts. He would rather choose Wen Ran over the company.
If he could live happily with Wen Ran and also receive a considerable annual dividend, life would undoubtedly be very comfortable.
An hour later, Mo Zixuan arrived at the prison where his mother was serving her sentence.

Suburban Villa in City G
When Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran arrived home, Nanny Zhang, Housekeeper Uncle Liu, Little Liu, Qing Feng, and Qing Yang were waiting at the door to welcome them.
Everyone already knew that Wen Ran was fully recovered.
“Young master, I heard that you and young mistress are going to hold a wedding ceremony. That’s so wonderful…” Nanny Zhang was as happy as if she were marrying off her son.
Mo Xiuchen didn’t expect Gu Kai to spread the news around. He simply laughed but made no corrections concerning Wen Ran’s changing her mind about throwing a wedding ceremony. Instead, he let Qing Feng carry the gifts out of the car for distribution.
“Ranran woke up a little early today and didn’t rest on the plane. I’ll accompany her upstairs to rest for a while. You all should go on with what you were doing,” Mo Xiuchen ordered casually while leading Wen Ran into the living room and upstairs to their bedroom.
Throughout their overseas trip, their room was cleaned daily. At the moment, the floor-length curtains were drawn, allowing sunlight to shine through the transparent glass, illuminating the room.
Mo Xiuchen walked up, picked up the remote control and lowered the curtains. The room that was a bit too bright moments ago suddenly darkened.
It was as if a sharp man suddenly softened, becoming gentle and jade-like. Yet, she liked this lighting more than a brightly lit room.
“Ranran, do you want to take a shower first and then have a nap?”
The temperature in City G was higher than in City A. This was immediately noticeable after they landed,
Now that it was early summer, even though the sun was not scorching, it was still quite hot. From the time they exited the airport till they reached the parking lot, Mo Xiuchen had shielded Wen Ran’s forehead with his hand, fearing the sun would affect her.
“Okay, I’ll take a shower first, and then have a nap,” agreed Wen Ran who was slightly fatigued.
They originally planned not to stay up late last night but ended up talking about how Fu Jingyi has a wife and a daughter after they got back from dinner.
As a result of that conversation, the two of them ended up chatting again for an hour. It was already midnight, and Wen Ran still had no sleepiness in sight, as memories from her childhood kept flashing in her mind like a running movie reel.
In the end, she didn’t even know when she fell asleep, but even then, she was dreaming all night and woke up half-asleep, Mo Xiuchen woke her up.
Luckily, she didn’t wake up crying, unlike the other night!
