Fated To The Reluctant Alpha

Chapter 6: CHAPTER FIVE

Across the city, a tall powerfully built man stood in stood in the dimly lit warehouse; his eyes looked around the room, not all of them were dead—yet.. His presence was suffocating, a mix of dominance and dangerous anger. The smell of blood hung in the air as two of his men knelt before him, trembling, it was obvious they had been severely beaten and had injuries. Dante was the leader of the biggest mafia gang in the city, nothing happens in the underworld without his approval.

Dante, alpha Bloodfang pack of the the ruthless leader of the city's most notorious mafia gang, ruled the underworld with an iron fist. Nothing happened in the underworld of the city without his approval, and tonight, his authority had been challenged. The stupid gang that tried to kidnap Elisa was a small upcoming one, they had no idea who she was to him.

Everybody in their world knows Elisa was off limits even though she was an omega.

He remembered the call he had gotten earlier that evening from the men he had giving the job to follow and keep an eye on Elisa.

"Boss, some people grabbed Elisa."

His knuckles had turned white as he gripped the phone. "What the hell are you saying? Who?! Where did they take her?"

"She escaped, but they grabbed her little girl instead."

"I don't give a damn about the girl! Get Elisa! Who dared to touch what's mine?"

The voice on the other end stammered. "I... I don't know, boss."

"What are you even good for?!" His voice dropped to a deadly growl. "Follow them and report back. Now!"

Now, standing in the aftermath, his rage boiling beneath the surface.

"Explain," Dante growled, his voice a deadly calm.

One of the men on their knees stammered, "We—we tried, boss. The girl—Elisa—she slipped through. By the time we got here we saw her driving away and this warehouse like this."

"bring me a survivor that was here!" Dante's eyes glinted dangerously as he commanded.

Two men rushed around the warehouse and dragged a weak groaning man dumping him roughly at his feet. He stepped closer, towering over the man and place a foot lightly on his neck.

Dante sniffed " you are a wolf, low rank one too. What happened?" Dante demanded.

The man swallowed hard. "They came out of nowhere. He—he fought like an assassin, it was unreal"

The Alpha's lips curled into a sneer. "He?"

"The Alpha, sir. He… he didn't just fight like a wolf. He was a machine."

"Then what happened?"

The man hesitated, and that was enough. The Dante's claws came out, digging into the man's neck. "Answer me!"

"he got shot," the man gasped. "She didn't hesitate. She ran with him!"

Dante growled lowly slowly strangling him with his foot.

The first man whimpered. "We didn't have a chance, sir. He's strong—his wolf—"

Dante's fists clenched, pressing his foot down sharply he broke the survivor neck killing him instantly.

He turned sharply to the two men still on their knee.

The other man on his knees, holding his bleeding arm, dared to speak. "An alpha, sir. One we didn't recognize. He tore through the crew—like nothing we've seen before."

"Another alpha? One I don't know at that?" he repeated, voice rising. "In my city? And you let him take what's mine?"

He stopped in front of a man who was on his knees holing his ribs in pain, his face pale.

The Alpha crouched, gripping the man's jaw tightly

"She belongs to me," he muttered, his voice cold as steel. "She always has." He closed his eyes briefly, breathing deeply to regain control.

He turned to the shadows where another figure stood quietly, his lieutenant who had been observing quietly. "Ajax," Dante barked. "I want a name. Find out who this alpha is, where he's from, and why he thinks he can challenge me."

Ajax nodded calmly "Already working on it, Alpha".

"Also our police informant just called, the police squad are on their way, we need to leave." He continued. "I have instructed him to tell us any important info that comes up, he said the alpha was shot, so his blood has to been around here it will be analyzed."

Dante's jaw tightened. "Good. And these failures…" He gestured at the kneeling men. "Make an example of them. We don't tolerate failures and mistakes."

The men's eyes widened in terror, but Dante had already turned his back on them, his focus elsewhere. He stared at the bloodied floor, his mind racing.

"Ok boss. Should we try to track the car?" one other member called out shakily.

Dante didn't respond immediately. His looked over the bloodstained warehouse floor, "She will be mine," Dante thought to himself, his voice resolute. "No one else will touch her."

"Not yet," he finally said. "If they're hiding, it means they're scared. Let them think they're safe for now."

The subordinate nodded but hesitated. "There's… one more thing."

"Speak!," he snapped.

"Our scouts spotted more members around looking for him that means their leader is still out there."

The Alpha's entire body stiffened then he smiled coldly "get him for me. Let me have some fun."

"Yes, sir."

The henchmen quickly left, Dante turned his attention back to the remaining men. One by one, they shrank under his gaze.

"She's the key to everything," he said lowly, almost to himself. "Without her, it all falls apart."

Straightening, his voice was icy, "activate the trackers; one may be on her currently. Go out, sniff out her trail I want her found by morning."

"Yes, sir!"

Elisa was supposed to be his. Years of planning, watching, and waiting—now scattered by an unknown alpha. The thought of her slipping further away sent a wave of possessive anger coursing through him.

"Elisa," he murmured his tone a mix of anger and longing. "where ever you go to. You will always be mine."
