Fate: Question And Answer System of Traversing Heroic Spirits

Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Qillin Armor

"Time to try this."

After a month of grueling extra training, Chihiro finally found an opportunity to go down the mountain.

The reason for his trip? To test the Qillin Seal's capabilities.

To be on the safe side, Chihiro decided to head to the remote mountains of Wakayama Prefecture, not far from Mount Koya. The area was secluded, ensuring no unwanted spectators or disruptions.

By car, it would have taken hours to reach his chosen testing spot. However, with the aid of his Class Card, he managed to cut the journey down to less than thirty minutes.

---

Under the shadow of a remote hilltop surrounded by dense forest, Chihiro stood alone.

"O thunderous gods, heed my call, and justice shall prevail!"

After finding a suitable spot, he took out the Qillin Seal and activated it, chanting the incantation.

This was his first time using the artifact, and excitement mixed with nervous anticipation bubbled inside him.

"Divine Qilin, grant me the power of unyielding victory!"

As he spoke the final words, a radiant light burst forth from the seal, and a sleek golden belt appeared out of thin air, wrapping itself snugly around Chihiro's waist.

Taking a deep breath, Chihiro inserted the Qillin Seal into the slot on the belt.

A brilliant flash illuminated the surroundings, and from the seal, a majestic armored Qilin emerged—a mythical beast radiating divine power.

The armored Qilin was none other than Legendary Qilin, the manifestation of the Qilin Armor.

To don the armor, Chihiro would first need to gain the Qilin's approval.

"Hmm?"

The Qilin tilted its head curiously, scanning its surroundings before its gaze landed on Chihiro.

Man and beast locked eyes, neither moving for a long moment.

Then, as if making up its mind, the Qilin lunged at Chihiro.

The moment it made contact, the Qilin dissolved into a flurry of light and wrapped itself around Chihiro's body, transforming into a set of stunning golden and red armor.

The Qillin Armor had accepted him, albeit reluctantly.

Chihiro could sense the difference in its acceptance compared to others who had wielded it in the past. It wasn't the wholehearted approval granted to the likes of heroes with unshakable ideals of justice.

"Guess I've got some work to do," Chihiro muttered to himself, flexing his hands in their gauntlets.

---

"This is… the power of the Qillin Armor."

The instant he donned the armor, Chihiro felt an overwhelming surge of strength coursing through his body.

Testing its capabilities, he darted forward and found himself standing over a hundred meters away in a single motion.

With another casual move, he reached for a nearby tree and uprooted it effortlessly.

The sheer amplification of his physical abilities was staggering.

"So this is one of the Four Ultimate Armors," Chihiro said, marveling at the armor's power. "With this and the strength of my Class Card, I could probably take down a Heroic Spirit with ease."

Next, he decided to test the equipment that came with the armor.

Chihiro summoned the Fire Qilin Claw, the Demon-Suppressing Buckle, and the Fire Qilin Sword—each a unique tool designed to augment the armor's already formidable capabilities.

---

Finally, Chihiro attempted to unleash some of the armor's signature abilities, such as Qilin Flight and its ultimate move, Qilin's Final Judgment Slash.

However, to his dismay, neither technique worked.

"Figures," Chihiro muttered. "Looks like I haven't fully earned the Qilin's trust yet."

Still, he wasn't discouraged. Building a connection with the armor would take time, and he was willing to put in the effort.

---

Once he finished testing the armor's combat capabilities, Chihiro moved on to the next highlight of the day.

After deactivating the armor, he tossed the Qillin Seal into the air.

A golden flash appeared, and out of nowhere, a sleek sports car materialized before him.

The car's body was adorned with red flame patterns, giving it a fierce and stylish appearance.

This was the Qilin Chariot, the Qillin Armor's vehicle, capable of traveling through time and space.

Chihiro climbed into the driver's seat, eager to test the car's legendary abilities. However, as he activated the control panel, a line of text flashed across the dashboard: System Failure.

Frowning, Chihiro contacted the system for an explanation.

The answer was simple yet frustrating:

The Qilin Chariot's time-travel technology had been designed specifically for the laws of physics in the Armor Hero World. Since the Type-Moon World operated under an entirely different system of laws, the car's time-travel functionality was incompatible.

If Chihiro wanted to restore the time-travel ability, he would need to integrate the chariot with a time-space system native to the Type-Moon World.

One possibility was Chaldea's Spiritron Transfer System, which utilized pseudo-spiritrons and technology from the Atlas Institute to transport Masters across time periods.

However, this method wasn't true time travel, it only allowed for movement to alternate timelines or simulated pasts.

The only surefire way to unlock true time travel in the Type-Moon World was by obtaining the Fifth Magic, a legendary ability tied to Aoko Aozaki.

"Seriously? I have to go ask the Blue Magus for help?" Chihiro groaned, running a hand through his hair. "What are the chances she'd even agree to that?"

He began to wonder if the Fifth Magic could even be integrated into the Qilin Chariot. The sheer complexity of magic and technology blending made his head spin.

Fortunately, the system offered him a workaround.

While the Qilin Chariot couldn't utilize its original time-travel system, the system had enhanced its spatial travel capabilities.

The system provided Chihiro with a list of coordinates that allowed the chariot to connect to other Type-Moon worlds, effectively granting him access to alternate universes.

Though it wasn't as versatile as true time travel, the ability to visit different worlds still opened up countless opportunities for exploration and adventure.

"Not bad," Chihiro muttered, nodding in approval.
