Chapter 8

"So, you felt the presence of your little sister..."

While looking at the stars, Kuroka had chatted with Senji about an important topic.

"Yes... is in that direction."

Senji seeing the pointed direction, searched his memory for the different cities in that direction, but remembering an important one that was controlled by the Demons, which was allowed by the Shinto Gods.

"I guess it must be in Kuoh, a city run by demons. If you want, you can go and get it... but, unfortunately, I will not go near that city. You should go alone or accompanied by Izayoi. It's your decision."

Senji replied, looking at the sky twinkling with stars.

"… I'll go with Izayoi."

Kuroka was more serious than usual, even ceasing to use the 'nya' she used at the end.

"Good. If you have already decided, you should also talk to Izayoi about the reason for your trip to Kuoh."

"Don't worry. I had already talked to her. I just wanted to let you know because we're leaving tomorrow morning."

"Ha. If so, I wish you luck in your reconciliation with your little sister."

"… Thank you, Senji."

Kuroka stared at the stars for a while longer, before retreating to the room that was given to him.

Standing alone, and looking at the stars. Senji closed his eyes to immerse himself in the memories of the past.

"Gremory and Sitri," he murmured. "From the information that he released without worrying, Serafall. It is the city controlled by these two demon families. And also of the family that she was born in."

He sighed at the end.

"Serafall, Serafall... for now I have no interest in approaching her."

The next day.

Rias Gremory, was currently at Sona Sitri's house.

"I would like Kuoh Academy to be co-ed." These were the words of Rias who drank the tea elegantly. "So that Kiba can be close and not move away to another point so that he has a human education. Also, you talked about a guy you have in your sights as your [Nobility's] good potential, right?"

Sona adjusted her glasses, while listening to her friend's words.

"I thought the same thing when I found this kid... but, it's too early to make this decision to change the women-only rules at Kuoh Academy."

Rias let out a sigh. "Well... that you think you will change the regulations in two years' time."

Sona clasped her hands. "For me it's fine. Also, I want to look at his manners. If you meet my criteria, I will let you into my nobility."

"Haha," a soft laugh escaped Rias. "You haven't changed when it comes to other people's manners."

"Hmph. I don't want troublesome people in my nobility." Sona adjusted her glasses with a serious and hostile attitude.

"Good, good," Rias set the tea down on the table, rose to leave Sona's house. "I will come another day to continue talking. Take care, Sona."

"Likewise, take care, Rias."

Summoning a magical portal near Rias, to enter and be in a room.

"Two years... Kiba can calmly await this decision before he enters Kuoh Academy."

Smiling, she walked out of the room down the hallway to the stairs that led to the first floor of the house.

Watching in the living room, a white-haired girl quietly eating some snacks on the tray near her.

"Shirone, you know where Kiba is."

"Train with Master Okita."

So he's in the Underworld training with Okita Souji.

"I'll go to the Underworld. He takes care of the house for me, yes?"

Getting a thumbs up in response. Now, opening another portal to the Underworld.

Arriving at the Gremory home. Rias was walking in search of Kiba.

Passing by and being greeted by the servants who were on the road. Until he reached where Kiba was. He was training with a wooden sword and in front of him, Okita Souji.

A man who was over hundreds of years old and who is part of the nobility of his older brother, Sirzechs Lucifer.

He is Kiba's master in the art of the sword.

Kiba, noticing the presence of Rias Gremory, stopped his training to greet her.

"Rias-sama!" wiping the sweat from her face with a towel that was handed to her by Okita, she approached Rias. "Did something happen?"

"No, nothing important. But, I've been talking with Sona, and it's been decided that the Kuoh Academy will be co-ed in two years. Take advantage of this for two years as you like."

"Hm..." Kiba, confused, nodded to Rias' words. "I'll keep getting stronger, so I'll keep training and studying like I've been doing."

"I like your determination, Kiba." Rias grabbed Kiba's shoulders with glitter in her eyes. "Remember that you must also rest."

A bitter cold ran through Kiba.

"… S-Yes..."

"Okita-san. I would like Kiba to have moderate training, I don't want to see him bedridden for several days."

"Haha! I don't promise anything, Miss Rias!"

Hearing Okita's answer, Rias' eyebrows trembled.

"Good..." sighing at the end. Rias began to retreat to another direction.

❅──────✧❃✧──────❅•

Walking away and letting Kiba continue her training with Okita. I started heading to another location.

Opening a magical portal to a remote place within the Underworld.

Where I ended up watching my brother, Alexander, training with Esdeath and Sairaorg. In a fight without rules. I can see spell cast left and right by Esdeath, Alexander cutting through the ice with a katana, Sairaorg destroying them with his fists.

It was a free-for-all combat, but, Esdeath always has the upper hand with his ice magic that he masters perfectly, but having a terrifying level that it would be impossible to dodge or survive when Esdeath gets serious about the decision to kill someone.

The katana that Alexander used ended up flying, leaving an opportunity for Esdeath that he would take advantage of without caring about my brother's life. Thus cornering Alexander, who ended up uncontrolling the power of Destruction to save his life and destroying the giant ice stakes that were for his life.

Sairaorg took the opportunity to approach Esdeath from behind and prepares a fist covered in energy giving it full.

Esdeath ended up flying and splashing several times until it stopped instantly, leaving marks on the ground where a long path of fingers buried in the earth could be seen.

"They've improved so much, it's scary."

It was my honest feelings with a lump in my throat feeling the intense pressure that was building in the fight.

After an intense look by the three of them... They made a strong leap where the distance of the three of them was getting closer every second, and their fists covered in energy.

Explosion!

The fists connected with each other, giving a strong blast of uncontrolled air that severely destroyed the environment.

Even the air made a small cut in my left forearm.

"I should train my body's endurance... I can't believe that this blast of air made a small cut in my skin."

Look at a small bloodline that ended up falling to the ground.

❅──────✧❃✧──────❅•

A small whistling sound could be heard.

"Good. This is the train that takes us to Kuoh City."

Izayoi's soothing voice was heard by Kuroka.

"Aha. Although it would be faster to use my space-time shifting magic to get to a part of Kuoh."

"That would be boring, Kuroka. I want to see the surroundings of the train journey."

"Good, good, Izayoi-chan~."

A cat smile appeared in Kuroka.

"Don't even think about treating me like a child, Kuroka."

A small vein grew on Izayoi's beautiful face.

"Nyahaha. I won't say it, although I'm thinking about it."

"Tsk. If it wasn't for the people, I'd throw a punch at you."

The people who were waiting for the train, looked strangely at the relationship of both girls.

After a few minutes, the train they were waiting for had arrived. Climbing up and grabbing a seat, they waited for the train to begin its journey.

Izayoi looked with little interest at the surroundings that the train passed. They had already left Tokyo for Kuoh City. Looking at the landscape that changed before arriving at each station, as well as the people who entered and left, out of mere boredom of the trip.

Until they reached the point of the journey.

Kuoh City.

Stepping off the train with a backpack carried on his back, Izayoi sensed the presences of several supernatural entities.

"Looks like this place will be fun."

A playful smile was drawn on Izayoi's face.

"I can feel Shirone's presence, and it's close."

Izayoi followed Kuroka, who knew where to find his little sister.

As they walked, Izayoi looked in different directions.

"At that address there is a group of four. In this other one, a group of three... No matter where you look, they are organized into groups... wait."

There was a presence that moved only in the city. But feeling that they were getting closer to that entity.

After a moment of the leisurely walk, they saw a beautiful voluptuous body girl who competed perfectly with her friend, Kuroka, who was standing next door. The soft, silky black hair tied in a long ponytail that reaches down to her legs with two antennae protruding from the top that tilt back, with an orange ribbon that holds everything in place. She wore a simple white dress that elegantly highlighted her beauty, letting us glimpse, without exaggeration, the delicate curves of her figure.

"She gives off two smells... I see. Half Fallen Angel and Demon."

The three of them crossed paths. But, Izayoi glanced sideways at the girl who was on her way. Showing a small interest in that person.

"If it's a hybrid... will it be strong?"

While Izayoi was thinking that, suddenly the girl stopped.

"How strange. It's the first time we've seen each other, right?"

The girl's low voice was subtle. But Izayoi's senses were beyond anyone.

"You're right. It's the first time we've seen each other."

Kuroka, who felt the presence getting closer and closer to her little sister, ended up being stopped by the sudden action of her friend, Izayoi.

"Hm. Something's up, nya."

He didn't understand what was happening in front of his eyes. Izayoi and the girl they passed by a second ago looked at each other firmly. As if they were preparing to fight.

"Izayoi-chan, you can't always look for a fight anywhere. There's something important to do, nya."

"Good. It will be another time, see you very soon, Miss Hybrid."

The girl's expression changed completely, with Kuroka and Izayoi instantly noticing.

"Can you tell me what you mean, young lady."

The contained voice of anger and hatred was subtle.

"Hm... Wow, I didn't think that would affect you enough." A small mockery seeped into Izayoi's voice.

"Izayoi-chan... seriously..." Kuroka could only watch with discomfort what her friend, Izayoi, was doing.

"Don't worry, Kuroka. This will be quick."

Izayoi cracked several bones, while he watched attentively the girl who continued to look with hatred contained in her face.

"I would like to follow the young girl's game. But I have to go home. There are more important things than getting carried away by the game of a brat."

"Oops, Izayoi-chan. He called you brat, brat~."

Kuroka emphasized snotty to continue annoying Izayoi, which ended up having an effect. A strong vein grew in her temple.

"You should shut up, Kuroka." Izayoi hinted in his voice that he should not meddle in his business. Looking with increasing anger at the girl.

"Hm... Wow, I didn't think that would affect you enough." She repeated the same words that Izayoi said earlier, mocking her.

Explosion!

It was a blink of an eye. Too fast in the eyes of that girl who flew away.

"Wow... you should restrain yourself a little, Izayoi-chan."

A small trace of fear seeped into Kuroka's voice. That he looked at Izayoi's outstretched fist that moved in less than a second attacking the black-haired girl.

"Tsk. It's my defeat. I let myself be overcome by my emotions."

Turning around, Izayoi approached Kuroka and they continued to move forward without worrying about the girl who ended up attacking.

Elsewhere.

The girl who was shot by Izayoi's swift punch. She was injured and bleeding from the nose.

"W-That... D-It hurt... damn it."

Cleaning the blood and dirt from her simple dress. He walked weakly leaning his body against the walls as he moved forward and approached his house each time complaining of the pain.

"That ... Brat... should receive a punishment..."

Closing his eyes, as a darkness grew on his face.

Various forms of punishment emerged in the girl's mind. With the intention of taking revenge on the blonde-haired girl.

"He swore that girl would scream over and over again in pain."

A strange expression was drawn on the girl.

Showing a peculiar face...

Izayoi and Kuroka were getting closer and closer.

Kuroka began to get nervous. It had been a long time since her separation from her little sister, Shirone.

He had no idea if Shirone wants to meet her after what had happened.

Although her intention was to save her little sister, she surely ended up affected by the actions that she herself caused by killing that demon.

Seeing from afar, a striking mansion. Where she felt the presence of her little sister in that place.

"Are you ready to see your little sister?"

"… I think so..."

The constant heartbeat did not allow her mind to be calmed. Breathing over and over again. He advanced with determination and rang the doorbell of the mansion.

A few seconds later, the precious voice of her little sister was heard.

"Say?"

A strong knot grew in Kuroka's throat. The cheerful voice of her little sister was not there. Showing a monotone voice that affected Kuroka internally.

"I guess it was serious for Shirone... it is understandable that I have affected him too much because of me."

Kuroka's determination collapsed easily. She was afraid to talk to her.

"S-Shirone... am... Kuroka..."

"…"

Silence. There was no response from the other side.

"As I thought... she doesn't want to see me."

Kuroka's mind was starting to fog up being affected mentally.

"You should be firmer." Izayoi's voice encouraged Kuroka in the way she could.

"... You're right." Pressing the doorbell back. "Shirone, I'd like to chat with you to talk about what happened that day."

"You abandoned me... And now you come out of nowhere trying to justify yourself for what you did. I don't want to talk to you."

These were the last words Kuroka heard from her little sister.

"…" Sadness grew on Kuroka's face.

"We should force our way in so that you can talk to your little sister."

"Stop, Izayoi-chan." Kuroka firmly grasped Izayoi's arm. "It's okay. We'll come tomorrow, I don't want to bother Shirone anymore. I will be patient to reconcile with my Imouto."

"Good. We must find a place to stay. There is enough money to live on for several months. Although I feel like it was very stingy, Senji."

"What are you saying, Izayoi-chan. He gave me a card and the key."

"Huh? Because he gave you the card and not me." Izayoi raised an eyebrow as he looked at the card in Kuroka's hand.

"I asked him before we left. He said he needed it already... I found that strange." Kuroka brought his index finger to his lips.

"How strange."

Izayoi shared Kuroka's same feeling for Senji's words.

"For now, let's take care of ourselves. Then we intuited what Seji said."

With those words, they left the place.

The next day.

Izayoi and Kuroka had found a condo close enough to the mansion, so they decided to live in that place for a while.

Starting the day by making a simple breakfast while approaching the TV to listen to the news.

"Good morning, Kuroka."

As he turned on the television, Kuroka's presence was present walking to the bathroom.

Being greeted before closing the door.

Nighttime explosion alarms residents of a housing district in Tokyo.

A sudden explosion disrupted the tranquility of the residential district of Setagaya last night, leaving a preliminary toll of 9 injured, including two minors, and causing serious damage to several homes and vehicles in the area.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m., when neighbors heard a loud bang followed by vibrations that were felt in a radius of several blocks. Witnesses describe shattered windows and doors torn from their frames due to the force of the impact.

"I was watching TV when suddenly the windows burst. I ran outside and saw smoke coming out of the house across the street," said a 45-year-old neighbor who asked to remain anonymous.

Firefighters and emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to put out a small fire that originated after the explosion. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation, although the causes of the incident have not yet been revealed. Preliminary reports rule out a gas leak as a possible reason, which has led to uncertainty among residents.

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike expressed concern over the incident this morning, assuring that authorities will work to ensure safety in residential areas. "We understand the fear this event has caused among the affected families, and we are committed to getting to the bottom of the matter," he said at a press conference.

Several residents have been temporarily evacuated while inspectors assess the structural safety of homes near the epicenter of the explosion. A temporary shelter has been established at a local primary school for displaced families.

The authorities have asked the neighbors to provide any information or recording from security cameras that may help clarify the facts. This is a developing case, and investigations are continuing.

As Izayoi listened to the news, barely showing interest in the announcer's words, something caught his attention. He immediately recognized the site of the explosion, his relaxed expression turning into a mixture of concern and urgency.

Without wasting time, he picked up the landline and dialed a family number.

"Why don't you answer the phone?!" she exclaimed in frustration, as she dialed again.

He tried again to contact Senji, but the only response he received was the cold message from the default voicemail. Each tone of waiting only increased his anxiety.

"Damn!"

Destroying the landline phone in frustration in the end. Alerting Kuroka that he was coming out of the bathroom covered with a towel on his voluptuous body.

"Something happened with Senji! And he doesn't answer at all!"

Frustration hung on Izayoi's face.

"What! It's impossible for anything to happen with Senji!

They knew Senji perfectly, and it was impossible for anything to happen to him, or so they thought about meeting Senji.

❅──────✧❃✧──────❅•

Before the explosion.

Senji was resting, looking at the starry sky as he did out of habit.

While enjoying himself, he was in a relaxed and vulnerable state unconcerned about his surroundings. Quietly drinking the green tea from his cup.

Until something happened without warning.

A strange sword pierced his heart.

"How strange..."

He was indifferent. He hadn't panicked about the sword piercing a vital part of his body.

"Who are you..."

Looking back out of the corner of his eye. Where there was no one.

"… I see. Hades' helmet, right?"

Stretching out his right arm in an instant where he ended up grabbing a strange black helmet.

"Hm... so Hephaestus created this helmet and sword, being given to you so that you can kill me."

Senji said it as an absolute truth, where the person wearing the helmet was present.

A strange adult with brown hair and black eyes. Having some scars on various parts of her body.

"Didn't he tell you that there was no way to kill me?"

A cold ran through that person's vertebra, fearing for his life.

"… You know what, let's play along."

Senji stood up and walked towards him.

"The [Cosmology of Zoroastrianism] is too weak to kill me." Referring to the sword. "Use your spiritual power as a trigger to enhance the [Zoroastrian Cosmology] that the sword has."

His eyes were altered by Senji's actions. But a strange gleam was marked in his pupils, realizing that he was being given a chance.

Grabbing the hilt of the sword and starting to pour all of his spiritual energy of hundreds of years for this occasion.

"You must die, Demon Lord." Hatred grew in him as he continued to pour more spiritual power into the sword where it began to glow brightly. "Die..."

The brightness grew around several perimeters of Tokyo. At the rate he was going, the entire city of Tokyo would be wiped off the map.

Until the area was reduced at Senji's house.

Explosion!

In a traditional house. A small white-haired person, wearing a black kimono with light blue details. He looked at the pillar of the explosion he had detonated.

"What a peculiar way of playing you have, Senji," she commented, as she covered half of her face with a fan, hiding the smile that slowly spread across her lips.

"Letting yourself be killed for fun." She murmured, with an air of indifference. "Although it's a shame. It will come back to life through the cycle of reincarnation. In the end, that person did not get the long-awaited revenge of finishing off Senji. All that effort... wasted."

As people tried to overcome the chaos and suffering caused by the recent explosion, a peculiar figure emerged in a distant part of Japan. A white-haired boy, with small horns sticking out of his forehead, appeared unexpectedly, he was sleeping soundly.

The sudden explosion not only shook the human world, but also set off alarms on the supernatural side. Its residual energy was unusual, an echo that resonated beyond earthly comprehension. Various entities, both benevolent and dark, began to move, each with its own interests.

Among the trees, a figure emerged from the gloom. She was a girl with black hair like night and eyes of the same color, although there was no trace of brightness or emotion in them. His steps were light, barely skimming the ground covered with dry leaves, as he approached the sleeping child.

He paused in front of him, bowing his head slightly, as if examining him curiously or with calculated indifference. He reached out a pale hand to the small horns on his forehead, but stopped halfway.

"¿...?"

The boy didn't move, but the atmosphere seemed to change. The air became denser, charged with an energy that only those sensitive to the supernatural could perceive. The girl showed no reaction, as if she was used to that feeling.

After a few seconds, he withdrew his hand and sat down next to the boy, watching him silently. There was no hurry in his movements, no emotion on his face. Only the unshakable emptiness of his gaze, fixed on the sleeping child, as if waiting for something.

The girl, still showing no emotion, stretched out her small hand to the sleeping child and began to drag him slowly. Despite her fragile appearance, her strength was surprising, as if the child's weight was nothing more than a feather to her.

A circle of luminous symbols appeared beneath his feet, slowly spinning as the space distorted around him. With a slight wave of his hand, a dark portal opened beside him. The edge of the portal sparkled with a faint purple glow, as if the magic that held it was alive.

Without hesitation, the girl dragged the boy into the doorway. Upon crossing it, they both emerged in a completely strange environment. An infinite void stretched out in all directions, tinged with various colors. Large rocks floated around him, levitating with no sense of gravity. Some spun slowly, while others remained motionless, as if in an eternal sleep.

The girl placed the boy carefully on one of the larger rocks and took a couple of steps back, watching him with her expressionless gaze.

Suddenly, a tremor shook the void, causing some of the smaller rocks to begin to spin more quickly. From the shadows of the distance, a colossal silhouette slowly emerged. A black dragon, with dull scales and huge wings folded at its sides, slept soundly on one of the largest, most floating rocks. His body was so immense that it seemed to merge with the void itself, and with each breath, he exhaled an ancient and powerful energy that filled the surroundings.

The girl turned her head toward the creature and then back to the child, as if the two were connected in some way. Without saying a word, he sat down on a nearby rock, his figure small and seemingly insignificant compared to the colossus resting a few feet away.

The dragon showed no signs of awakening, but its mere presence filled the place with an intimidating and solemn aura. The girl, however, remained unperturbed, as if this were her home or a place where she had always belonged.

Side Story: Fifth Date

The sun was shining brightly on that warm spring day, reflecting off the crystal clear waters of the pools of a famous water park. The laughter of children and adults filled the air as giant slides and rest areas offered a respite from the heat.

"Senji-chan~! Quick, let's try that giant slide!" exclaimed Serafall, excitedly pointing to a colossal structure that seemed to be lost in the sky.

Senji, dressed in black shorts and a light T-shirt, calmly watched her as she, dressed in a vibrant blue swimsuit decorated with white stars, jumped back and forth like an excited child.

"Don't you think it would be better to start with something quieter?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing like that! We're here to have fun!" Serafall took his hand without waiting for an answer and began to drag him towards the slide ladder.

The line for the slide was long, but that didn't diminish Serafall's energy. As they waited, he talked nonstop about how much fun it would be, pointing to people speeding down and laughing out at the end.

"Isn't it amazing, Senji-chan? Watch them launch!"

"It's incredible," he commented, though his tone had a slight hint of amusement.

When it was finally his turn, Serafall practically jumped onto the seat of the raft, clapping the space next to him. "Come on, Senji-chan! Don't be shy!"

Senji sighed, but climbed up, making sure they were both securely restrained before the operator gave them the initial push.

The speed of the descent was much greater than he had anticipated. Water splashed everywhere as the raft slid through the curves and drops. Serafall laughed out loud, his arms in the air, while Senji kept one hand on the edge, as if that might give him some sense of control.

When they reached the end, the raft gently crashed into the water of the reception pool, and both came out soaked.

"It was amazing!" exclaimed Serafall, turning to him with a huge smile.

"It was interesting," Senji admitted as he wiped the water from his face.

After the thrill of the slide, they decided to take a moment to relax in one of the park's thermal pools. The contrast between the bustle of the attractions and the tranquility of the hot water was perfect for slowing down.

Serafall settled on the edge of the pool, letting the water cover him up to his shoulders as he sighed in satisfaction. "This is life, don't you think?"

Senji, sitting next to him, nodded. "It's much quieter, that's for sure."

She watched him out of the corner of her eye, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Do you know, Senji-chan? I never imagined that I would convince you to come to a place like this."

"You always convince me of things I don't plan to do," he replied, his tone dry, but with a twinkle in his eye that betrayed his appreciation for the company.

Serafall laughed softly, letting his head rest on his shoulder. "That's because I know that deep down you're having fun, even if you don't say it."

He didn't answer, but the slight shake of his head against hers was enough to confirm his words.

"Now let's go to the wave pool!" Serafall exclaimed as she pulled him once more, her energy seemingly endless.

The wave pool was filled with people laughing and splashing around as artificial waves formed and broke against the crowd. Serafall dove into the water without hesitation, turning to look at Senji with a beaming smile.

"Come on, Senji-chan! Don't just stand there!"

He got into the water at a slower pace, but he couldn't help but crack a small smile as he saw Serafall laugh as the waves lifted her slightly.

When a particularly large wave reached them, Serafall lost his balance and briefly sank underwater, only to come out laughing.

"That was intense!" she said as she clung to Senji's arm to steady herself.

"You almost drowned," he remarked.

"But I didn't! Because I knew you would be here to help me."

Senji looked at her, and for a moment, the bustle of the pool seemed to fade away. "I'll always be here," he said with a seriousness that made Serafall blush slightly.

As the sun began to set, the two found themselves sitting together in a quiet area of the park, watching the sky turn orange and pink.

"Thank you for coming with me today, Senji-chan," Serafall said, leaning against his shoulder.

"It was more fun than I expected," he admitted, his voice calm.

She smiled, closing her eyes as the sound of water and distant laughter filled the air. "You know, every time we're together, I feel like the world gets a little brighter."

Senji didn't answer, but his hand moved slightly, brushing hers in a subtle but meaningful gesture.

As the day drew to a close, the two shared a moment of peace, knowing that even though each date was different, something between them was growing stronger and stronger.
