Fairy Tale: With Sin Of Pride

Chapter 67: Chapter 051: The Fairy’s Blessing

"Fairy's blessing?"

Feeling the sudden surge of magic power coursing through him, Rhodes couldn't help but feel something strange.

These three fairies, without so much as an explanation, had bestowed another blessing upon him.

It's not like fairy blessings are that common—they're usually reserved for those whom fate truly favors. So... was he also one of those blessed by this world?

Rhodes glanced at the three fairies peeking out from behind Gloria. Their faces were filled with fear, and they clearly had no intention of explaining.

"Am I really that terrifying?"

He shook his head. Well, regardless of their reasons, the boost in his magic power was definitely a good thing.

The carriage continued to move forward, drawing ever closer to the center of the Forest of Tranquility.

The enormous golden tree that reached thousands of meters into the sky gradually became clearer as they approached.

Inside the carriage, the atmosphere was tense. With a demigod-level elf trailing behind them, even Yulia, who was typically carefree, had fallen silent.

As they neared the Ancient Sun Tree, the oppressive atmosphere only intensified.

"Is this... the Tree of Life?"

As they drew closer, Yulia's eyes widened in disbelief.

Wasn't the Tree of Life supposed to be unique to the Elf Forest? How could there be another one here?

And one this enormous...

"And that... is the Pool of Life?"

When the carriage stopped beneath the Ancient Sun Tree, Yulia was so shocked that she could barely speak.

The Pool of Life was sacred to the elves, a forbidden area.

It was filled with pure, life-giving energy. No matter how severe an injury, bathing in the Pool of Life would heal it instantly.

It was also essential for the elves' reproduction. While elves could reproduce naturally, those born from the Tree of Life were far superior in strength and potential.

In fact, more than 90% of legendary elves were direct descendants of the Tree of Life.

Such an important place was usually guarded by legendary, or even sanctuary-level, elven elders. Only the Elf Queen and high-ranking elders were allowed near it.

And yet, here it was.

A second Tree of Life. A second Pool of Life.

"If the elves knew about this, they would stop at nothing to claim this forest," Yulia whispered, her face pale.

She had never imagined that such a sacred place could exist outside of the Elf Forest. If word got out, it would spark a conflict that could shake the world.

"Something feels off..." Yulia murmured, her brow furrowing.

The elves she knew were symbols of nature and peace. But the energy she felt from the Tree of Life and the Pool of Life here was anything but peaceful. It was violent, chaotic—nothing like the calm energy typically associated with the elves.

If this Pool of Life truly gave birth to elves, Yulia couldn't help but think they would be far more aggressive, perhaps even more so than the warriors of the Storm God.

She glanced cautiously at Gloria, the Elf Queen walking beside them.

This powerful, demigod-level elf—could she have been born from this Pool of Life? The possibility felt absurd, but the energy between them was unmistakable.

"Did you... create all of this?"

Yulia turned to Rhodes, disbelief in her eyes.

The Tree of Life, the Pool of Life, the demigod-level elf... the power emanating from all of them was nearly identical to that of this man.

And the changes to the Forest of Tranquility—they had all occurred after Rhodes entered.

It was hard to believe it was all just a coincidence.

"That's right," Rhodes replied casually, rubbing his chin.

"Are you not worried the elves will come for you?"

Yulia was speechless. He had essentially tampered with one of the elves' most sacred relics—their Tree of Life. It would be shocking if the elves didn't try to claim it back.

"I wouldn't mind catching an Elf Queen as a slave," Rhodes said with a smirk, crossing his arms. His tone was so confident that Yulia rolled her eyes in exasperation.

The Elf Queen was a powerful demigod, one of the strongest in existence. She could rival even the Holy Pope. Combined with the divine blessings and artifacts bestowed upon her by the Elf God, she was nearly invincible within the Elf Forest.

If she fought within her domain, even the gods would struggle to defeat her.

Capturing someone of that level as a slave? Not even a true god could manage such a feat.

Rhodes, however, didn't seem to care about Yulia's disbelief.

With his strength, if he truly wanted to enslave the Elf Queen, he estimated his success rate at around 50%. Of course, that was assuming she didn't have a prideful nature that would drive her to die rather than submit.

He stepped off the carriage and approached the Pool of Life, where enormous golden embryos were floating within the water.

Each embryo had inherited a portion of his abilities.

The strongest, without a doubt, was the embryo that carried both the magic of the sun and the commandment of love. Its faint aura already rivaled that of a sanctuary-level maiden of the forest.

The remaining embryos also exuded powerful magic, each one reaching at least the legendary level.

"Let's give you a little boost."

Rhodes cut his wrist, and the blood imbued with the power of the holy spring flowed freely into the roots of the Ancient Sun Tree.

This time, he bled a lot more than before.

His blood, carrying a potent life force, soaked into the roots, spreading throughout the entire Ancient Sun Tree. Every drop contained enough vitality to rival the essence of legendary creatures.

If not for his immortal body's remarkable regenerative abilities, losing this much blood would have left him dead ten times over.

The Ancient Sun Tree absorbed the blood eagerly, like a starving child gulping down sustenance.

Initially, the tree had stood at a thousand meters. Now, as it absorbed his life essence, it began to grow rapidly, its height surging to over two or three thousand meters.

Dewdrops filled with pure life energy formed on the branches and leaves, falling into the Pool of Life below.

The pool itself doubled in size.

The elf embryos within, already powerful, now brimmed with even more vitality. In the center of the pool, the embryo that had inherited the magic of the sun pulsed rhythmically, its heartbeat deep and resonant.

The aura it exuded was so overwhelming that the space around it seemed to warp, as if a sun were rising from the depths of the pool.

Off to the side, a new elf embryo was quietly forming.

This one carried the magic of Full Counterattack, and its power had already reached the level of the holy realm.

"Gloria, why don't you take a dip in the Sunwell?" Rhodes gestured to the Pool of Life.

"Sunwell" was the name he had chosen for it. After all, this wasn't the real Pool of Life, so calling it that felt inappropriate. "Sunwell" was a much more fitting name.

The pool was infused with the power of the sun, and from a bird's-eye view, its shape resembled a well.

Without hesitation, Gloria removed her clothes and stepped naked into the Sunwell.

The Sunwell had many uses beyond nurturing elves. It could baptize the body, change one's qualifications, and even alter their race.

As Gloria submerged herself, her body began to adapt, absorbing a new magic.

The magic of Full Counterattack.
