Evil Uchiha Itsuki

Chapter 211: **Chapter 209: The Succession**

Chiyo was someone who always prioritized the interests of Sunagakure.

In the original storyline, she only experienced a slight change in mindset near the end of her life.

Of course, this was largely due to Naruto's famed "Talk no Jutsu."

Talk no Jutsu!

If it could persuade even Pain, what's an old stubborn person in comparison?

Right now, Naruto's "Talk no Jutsu" hadn't fully developed, and he hadn't yet faced Chiyo, so she remained her original self.

From her perspective, Pakura was undoubtedly the most suitable candidate to succeed as the Kazekage.

Who else could take the position?

Baki?

Yeah, right!

He's the kind of guy who leaves home for three years and comes back to find his son is one year old.

Gaara? He's only twelve and is far too unstable. Have you lost your mind? Or have I?

Make him Kazekage?

He can't even take care of himself.

Should she, this old woman, step up to the position again?

Ridiculous!

She wasn't even sure if she could open her eyes tomorrow—she just wanted to retire.

So, after considering it from every angle, Chiyo set her sights on Pakura.

This wasn't a sudden decision. The idea had formed in her mind after witnessing the power of Uchiha Itsuki.

Pakura and Itsuki's relationship wasn't a secret.

Even though Sunagakure had tried to block any news about Pakura, the higher-ups were well aware of the situation.

In Konohagakure, Pakura had essentially been acting as a proxy Hokage.

She and Uchiha Itachi had practically been taking turns managing Konoha.

Konoha had developed well under her management, proving that Pakura had the talent to run a village.

If Pakura became the Kazekage, how could Uchiha Itsuki ignore Sunagakure?

Even if he were just a tool, he'd sharpen it well.

In fact, back when Pakura and Rasa were competing for the position of Kazekage, she had the upper hand.

However!

Chiyo had chosen Rasa because he specialized in Magnet Release and could suppress the One-Tailed Shukaku. He had also planned to make his child the jinchuriki.

Thus, Chiyo chose Rasa.

After that, she began suppressing Pakura.

When Rasa suggested sacrificing Pakura for peace, she regretted losing such a talent, but didn't oppose the decision.

Rasa was insecure and feared Pakura's power, so Chiyo allowed Pakura to be eliminated.

She was capable of such things.

But now!

Everything had come full circle.

Chiyo proposed bringing Pakura back to take the Kazekage position.

"Impossible, absolutely impossible!"

One of the Sunagakure higher-ups shouted angrily, "If we bring Pakura back, what was all of our past work for?"

That would be like slapping themselves in the face.

"What was it for? It means we were wrong!"

Chiyo coldly stared at the higher-up and said, "I'm willing to accept any punishment Pakura hands out. Aren't you, as the higher-ups of Sunagakure, willing to do the same for the sake of the village?"

The higher-ups looked troubled.

Who would be willing to?

Back then, they had wanted Pakura dead. If she came back, who knew how she'd deal with them?

Chiyo was an old woman with little time left, but they were still young and enjoying their positions of power.

"Chiyo-sama, we understand that you want what's best for Sunagakure. But don't forget, Pakura's reputation isn't what it used to be. Many of our people died by her hand. Do you really think she'll have the village's support?"

"Hmph!"

Chiyo snorted coldly. "Just blame everything on Rasa. Can't you handle something that simple? Or are you unwilling?"

Of course, they were unwilling!

One of the higher-ups said, "What about Kankuro and the others? They're excellent shinobi. And Gaara, he's the jinchuriki of the One-Tail. If we blame everything on Rasa, we'll lose so much."

Without hesitation, Chiyo replied, "I said to blame everything on Rasa. If it doesn't work, spread rumors about how harshly he treated his children. Separate Kankuro and the others from the mess—this should be your specialty."

"But…"

"No buts!"

Chiyo's voice turned icy. "Sunagakure is in great danger right now. Do you really think Konoha will just let us off after what we did? I'm telling you, their revenge is only a matter of time."

She shuddered at the thought of the resources they had taken from Konoha.

It didn't feel like much when they were divided, but after returning to Sunagakure and gathering the supplies, everyone had been astonished by how much they had stolen.

One of the higher-ups yelled, "Their real enemy should be the Hidden Fire Village! Let them fight it out!"

"That's their first target, and we are second!"

Chiyo growled in frustration, looking disappointedly at those present. "Why are you all pretending to be clueless? You're the upper echelon of the Sand Village! You decide the life or death of this place!"

"The Leaf Village may be the Fire Village's sworn enemy, but they're not necessarily the first to be attacked. After all, the Uchiha are no pushovers, but we... we're easier to bully."

...

The ninja world was in turmoil.

The Leaf Village, in alliance with various other ninja villages, was preparing to make a move against Uchiha Itsuki. Among the higher-ups of those villages, this was no secret.

After all, they had all sent their strongest warriors.

Only the Kage of each village had yet to make a move.

They believed that with Sarutobi Hiruzen's cunning and experience, he would succeed.

Everyone was already preparing to divide up the spoils of the Uchiha.

But in the end?

The spoils were divided, but the target was wrong.

The target became the Leaf Village!

Kumogakure (Cloud Village)!

Raikage stared at Darui, who was kneeling on one knee before him. "Did you bring all of this back from the Leaf Village?"

He gestured to the pile of supplies behind Darui.

"Yes!"

Darui scratched his head. "But unfortunately, the allies we have in the Leaf Village—specifically their First and Second Hokage—were resurrected by some technique called 'Edo Tensei,' so we didn't dare to go on a full-blown robbery spree."

Raikage immediately followed up, "The First and Second Hokage were really resurrected? Edo Tensei?"

"Yes!"

Darui answered seriously, "Though, after watching them fight Uchiha Itsuki, they weren't as powerful as we expected. I think something went wrong during their resurrection. Honestly... they seem about as strong as you."

Raikage's eyebrow twitched.

Considering that Darui was talking about Senju Hashirama, the God of Shinobi, Raikage decided not to comment further.

As confident as he was, even he knew he couldn't compare to the God of Shinobi.

"Since they weren't that strong, you should've seized more!"

Raikage said, a bit regretfully.

The Leaf Village's wealth was renowned throughout the ninja world.

It was the true heart of the ninja world.

"No way!"

Darui said helplessly, "Even if they were weakened, they were still Kage-level. On our side..."

The Sand Village had Chiyo and Ebizo.

They sent a large group of ninjas, genuinely willing to clash with the Leaf Village.

But in Kumogakure, only Darui could stand against them, and even then, it was a fight he couldn't win.

"That said, we did deal significant damage to the Leaf Village!"

Darui sneered. "The Leaf Village has definitely suffered a major blow this time. From now on, they can't possibly claim the title of the strongest ninja village anymore."

"Alright."

Raikage waved his hand. "Go and rest. You all did well this time."

Darui hesitated, "What about the Fire Village?"

"What does that have to do with us?"

Raikage said indifferently, "You didn't make a move on Uchiha Itsuki, did you?"

"True!"

It wasn't that they didn't want to, but they never got the chance.

Who would've thought that when they thought they had him cornered, Itsuki would bring out the Nine-Tails and run all over the place.

Who could handle that?

Just imagine a Kage-level fighter running around with Killer Bee in Kumogakure...

It sends chills down your spine!

The same thoughts occurred in Iwagakure (Stone Village).

However, Ōnoki was already making preparations to deal with this.

Would the Leaf Village let this go?

No way!

Would the Fire Village stop?

Definitely not!

Even the Fourth Kazekage of the Sand Village had died.

As long as there was any movement from any of them, it would be another opportunity for Iwagakure.

"Don't miss any opportunity, no matter how small."

Ōnoki floated in the air, silently gazing down at the ninja village below.

Continuing to grow stronger and weaken his enemies—one day, Iwagakure would become the strongest village in the ninja world.

"Uchiha Madara..."

...

The whole ninja world was frustrated with the Leaf Village.

When word spread about what happened in the Leaf, the first reaction came from the nobles: angry rebukes.

The nobles of the Fire Nation were furious.

They had been invited to watch a show, but what happened instead?

One came, one died.

Two came, two died.

What was the Leaf Village doing?

Because of them, the entire Fire Nation was in mourning.

A third of the nobility had been wiped out!

The Fire Daimyō (Feudal Lord) fainted upon hearing the news.

One of his sons, his favorite son, was gone!

Sarutobi Hiruzen had to step down. There was no other option.

He knew this too, which was why he'd already given up on fixing things.

He was dragging his feet on all matters regarding the Leaf Village.

His mentor's harsh scolding had crushed him.

Was he really that useless?

He was the Professor of Ninjutsu, the great ninja hero!

And so!

The Leaf Village faced the same dilemma as the Sand Village.

Who would succeed the Hokage?

Jiraiya?

He seemed like the best choice—strong and well-respected!

As for Danzo, forget about him!

Now, every time Tobirama saw Danzo, he had a headache!

During battles, Danzo was nowhere to be found.

Once the battle was over, he'd show up.

And apparently, this wasn't the first time.

When the Fourth Hokage died, Danzo disappeared, only to return after the fighting was done.

Not to mention...

Danzo had both Senju and Uchiha powers and still wanted to become the Jinchuriki for the Nine-Tails.

Take your time with that! No need to rush—this sort of thing can't be hurried!

But!

There were still problems with Jiraiya succeeding.

Orochimaru!

Since Uchiha Itsuki left, Orochimaru hadn't left the Leaf. He was still hanging around, wandering about.

He was dangerous!

Especially since he controlled the First and Second Hokage.

Even the two former Hokage were frustrated with him.

If Orochimaru lifted Edo Tensei, it would be a huge problem for the already battered Leaf Village.

The Leaf couldn't take another hit. The two revived Hokage were crucial.

Because of this, many were thinking:

If they gave the Hokage position to Jiraiya, would Orochimaru object?

But they couldn't give it to Orochimaru either!

A rogue ninja...

If Orochimaru could be Hokage, then why not Uchiha Itsuki?

Everything was a mess!

Even Sarutobi Hiruzen and Tobirama sat slumped in their chairs, not wanting to say a word.

How had the Leaf come to this?

When Tobirama had left, there weren't many candidates to succeed as Hokage, but there were plenty of excellent young ninjas.

Like White Fang, Sakumo Hatake!

Now they were all gone!

"Monkey, you've really done it!"

Tobirama had lost count of how many times he'd sarcastically praised Hiruzen.

He kept his thumbs-up toward Hiruzen raised and never lowered it.

How could someone mess up the Leaf Village this badly?

Only a rare talent like Sarutobi Hiruzen could pull this off!

Throughout it all, Hiruzen kept his head down, not saying a word.

Whatever!

"Tobirama, stop. What do we do now?"

Hashirama frowned.

He, too, felt troubled by the Leaf Village's current state.

Jiraiya was not an option—not only because they worried about Orochimaru, but also because Jiraiya was lazy and didn't seem like a fitting leader.

And Orochimaru, well, his human experiments had already gotten him disqualified in the Senju brothers' eyes.

Sarutobi Hiruzen could no longer continue as Hokage.

So, who was left?

The brothers finally looked at two names.

Shikaku Nara!

Kakashi Hatake!

...

The Fire Village was cheering.

The entire village was celebrating.

Their Kage had achieved an incredible victory—one that made everyone proud!

He had broken the Nine-Tails' seal while it was wreaking havoc in the Leaf Village.

Five massive summoned beasts fought each other, causing enormous damage to the Leaf Village.

Ninjas from other villages also caused severe destruction.

The battle between Uchiha Itsuki and the Senju brothers left the Leaf Village in ruins.

The Sand Village had also inflicted heavy damage on the Leaf.

What was left of the Leaf Village now?

The Uchiha clan was curious!

Those who had been drawn to the Fire Village by Itsuki harbored no love for the Leaf.

The Uchiha felt this way!

The Hyuga felt this way too!

So did the other clans!

In the Leaf Village, they had never been welcomed with open arms—only disdain and scorn.

So why should they show the Leaf any kindness?

They wouldn't!

"Damn! So, when they heard about the destruction of Konoha, some people were just happy.

After all, saints are rare! Not to mention, Itsuki brought the Nine-Tails to Hidden Fire Village.

What does that mean? Hidden Fire Village now has two tailed beasts.

Meanwhile, Konoha has none.

In terms of battle, Konoha is at a disadvantage.

Even the Hidden Sand Village straightened their backs when facing Konoha.

If it weren't for the Edo Tensei bringing back the two previous Hokages, I bet everyone would've wanted to test Konoha's strength.

'Bang!'

A heavy sound echoed.

A huge scroll was thrown onto the table by Itsuki, making a deep, muffled noise.

'A forbidden jutsu scroll?'

Itachi murmured to himself.

Even Yecang's eyes widened.

'Yes!'

Itsuki said with a smile: 'It's always been one of Konoha's most valuable items, stored in the Hokage's office. Other than Hiruzen Sarutobi, no one else could even get a glimpse of it.'

Especially after Orochimaru stole a lot of forbidden techniques from the scroll, the Hokage hid it even more securely.

Even Danzo couldn't see it.

But this time...

Itsuki smashed the Hokage building and found this scroll in the rubble.

It could only be done back then.

If it were now, Itsuki figured he'd have to kill who knows how many Konoha shinobi to get this scroll.
