Escaped My Ex, Got Snatched by His Rival

Chapter 40: Oh to be played

If Erica had known that Regal was this useless, she would have never snatched her away from Glynn. However, when she thought about the hurt that flashed in Glynn's eyes when Regal pushed her away when she was hitting her, Erica calmed down.

'This man still has some uses, I cannot offend him for the time being,' Erica thought after she had calmed down. She couldn't forget the reason she had brought this man to her side, at least not yet.

Thus, she smiled at Regal and then touched his cheek. Erica said, "I am sorry, I was furious. I hope you will not hold it against me, I will ask Daddy to add another three million to your start-up plan, alright?"

Regal, who could still feel the sting of the slap that Erica had given him, smiled like a docile dog. He nodded and lowered his head, however as his bangs hid his eyes, a harsh glint flashed within them.

On the other hand,

Carl ran out of the elevator, and behind him was his girlfriend, Molly. The two of them chased Glynn as they were worried that she would be too upset and take it out on them. If Noah was like a silent dictator, Glynn was like a spoiled tyrant. She didn't care about anything or anyone when she was angry.

If she was determined to make things difficult for them, then Carl was sure that he would be kicked out of the house.

However, the two of them were still a step too late as Glynn's car drove away. Even though the windows were tinted, and they couldn't see who was sitting in the driver's seat, they knew it belonged to Glynn. As she had boasted about her new flashy car earlier.

It being a limited edition was also a sign.

"Damn it," Carl clenched his hair in his hands as he looked at the exhaust left behind by the sports car. He was going to be in so much trouble once his father came to find out about this, he would surely punish him.

"Carl, are you okay?" Molly, who saw Carl sitting on the pavement, walked over to him and reached out her hand to touch his shoulder. However, the man was too angry and was seeing red, he slapped her hand away as he questioned her in rage, "Are you happy now? Satisfied? My father is going to grill me to my bones! Why did you have to call that crazy b*tch? Can you not see that Erica cares little to nothing about her father or her family?"

"Her sick obsession with Glynn is something that everyone knows! Just as we know how little patience, Glynn has when it comes to Erica!"

When they were young, Erica and Glynn could still withstand one another, but then all of a sudden, everything changed, and they started to contradict one another. It didn't take long for them to turn into enemies.

"I just…" Molly opened her mouth, but Carl cut her off,

"You know what! We are over! I am done! I cannot have a woman like my girlfriend who has so many little thoughts in her head and doesn't have a shred of care for me. Her boyfriend!" Carl snapped at her before turning around and walking away.

Molly wanted to chase after him but stopped when she heard the sound of footsteps behind her. She turned her head an inch to see who it was and stiffened when she saw the man, who was standing behind her.

Instantly, she turned around and then looked at the man before saying, "I did as you said, I egged Erica to provoke Glynn. My father…he will be back home now, right?"

Three days ago, Molly's father had been taken away because he was caught smuggling the drugs for his benefit while reporting the wrong accounts to the De Luca familia.

Once he was caught, it didn't take long for the members of the De Luca Gang to come and take him away.

Molly and her mother have been fretting over how to rescue her father. He was the pillar of their family, if something happened to him, how would they survive?

It was then that she received a message from this man who asked her to invite Erica to this get-together and then provoke her into making Glynn angry. He mentioned specifically that Glynn needed to be humiliated and compared with Ari, whom she hated the most.

This was the reason Molly had told Erica about the incident where Ari slapped Noah and hurt Ryan.

She had even put her relationship at risk for the sake of her father. Now she only hoped that her father would come back safe and sound.

If she had known that this would happen, she would have asked her father to think twice before even trying to cheat the De Lucas. In fact, only fools would think about cheating the De Lucas in the Lonest City.

"You do not need to worry about your father," Patrick smiled at Molly. He looked at the flickering streetlight and frowned slightly, before turning to look at the young woman in front of him, "He will be back in three days."

"Why three days?" Molly questioned. She clenched the fabric of her skirt nervously before saying, "You said that as long as I do as you told me, my father will be back home."

This was indeed what De Lucas had promised, but even if they refused to fulfil their promise, what could Molly even do?

She could only hope that these people would have the heart to let her father go.

Patrick's smile widened as he stated, "We would have sent him home alright but with his arms cut off, he is quite a bloodied sight at the moment. Our boss is concerned that you and your mother will be terrified at the sight of your father."

Molly's eyes widened when she realized that the arms of her father had been cut off. She looked at the man like he had gone crazy and demanded, "But why? I did what you said!" Her voice rose, causing Patrick's smile to falter.

He curled his lips in a sneer and then said, "The damages that your father has caused us are enough for him to lose his life. Be glad that we are even letting him off. So think twice before demanding answers."

Molly swayed on her feet before falling to her knees. Did she lose everything in exchange for nothing? Even if her father returned, with his arms cut off, he would be nothing but a burden.
