Erotic Adventures in the Omniverse: Vampire Lord got too many wives

Chapter 923: Three years

"Just what is going on? I can sense that all the people are still alive in this wretched universe—at most, in a year or so, this whole universe would have turned into shambles, with the destruction of everything inside it; even all the people living inside it," Zendax pondered, as he began to fly back, fearing the fate that awaited him.

Inside the universe, everything was covered by a thin layer of darkness; they could sense the danger and understood just how dangerous and hopeless the situation was.

It caused a great commotion across the entire space. Many strong beings tried to break the barrier and get free, but none of their attacks even left a single scratch— the difference in power was just too great.

As days passed, they lost all hope and were filled with despair; they could tell that countless lives would be lost soon— their loved ones, their families, and children would all suffer the same fate.

Anna, Hecate, Ada, and the others tried to break the barrier too, but their attempts were useless; then they tried to at least send Alice and Emma away safely, but it was impossible to leave the pearl, which was one of the best treasures that the general possessed.

They hoped to at least protect the child—Jayden's last trace—but it seemed this truly was the end for them all, with the passing of each day, the fear and despair increased exponentially.

Everyone in the nameless universe tried to break the barrier set by the second general for two whole months, but they weren't able to achieve any results; in the end, they could only give up and wait for their damnation.

Exactly three years had passed since Jayden had passed; all his family just stood outside their house, staring at the dark sky with dull expressions, as if the pain of his separation from them wasn't enough—even his child wouldn't be able to come into this world, it seemed.

A photo of Jayden was placed on a chair; they all stared at it as if praying for him to actually come out of it, while only silence permeated the air, mixed with the ill fate that might consume them all.

A few days later, the large army of the Topaz universe had returned to their home. After entering through the boundary, the second general dispersed the entire army.

Then they teleported from the altar.

Along with Zendax, he flew towards a hand-like mountain, the pearl floating high above his palm as the other man fearfully followed him; Zendax's mind was still filled with confusion about the changes.

"I wonder how you are going to be punished. Not only did you fail your task, but you even lied to the emperor—and to that extent—hah, man, this is hilarious. I am sure dying would be a mercy for you now," jeered the second general, increasing his speed even further.

"Sigh, this motherfucker—if only I were stronger than him, I would have trapped this electric bastard in wires and let him flow through the resistance as he disappeared slowly," Zendax thought, recalling terms he had learned before.

Thump

Producing a loud sound, the general landed on the mountain, which wasn't made of soil or normal stones but entirely from jade, looking quite similar to the skin of the first general.

Zendax landed meekly, trying not to produce the least bit of sound, while the general was as loud as possible— as if trying to alert the entire Topaz universe. Wherever his feet touched, bolts of electric current whizzed around.

"So, you are already back, and I assume you have succeeded in your mission, right?"

Out of nowhere, a person who entirely seemed to be made of jade appeared in front of them; his presence was commanding, and his voice authoritative.

"Yes, first brother, of course I have succeeded in completing the mission, but you won't believe what happened after we arrived close to the nameless universe," the second general said with a big smile on his distorted face.

"Oh, and what might that be?" the first general asked, raising his jade-like eyebrow.

"Let's go and inform the emperor about it first; you're in for a good show." The second general winked, and the first just nodded without showing any emotion on his face.

At this moment, Zendax just wanted to disappear; his legs had started to shake, and in his mind he kept repeating that no matter what punishment the emperor might inflict, it could possibly be half as bad as what Jayden had done to him.

All the other beings in the universe respected the three generals— they wouldn't even raise their heads in the presence of these three powerhouses— but now it seemed that their number would be reduced to two.

"My lord, I have returned. Is it the right time to report?" The three of them knelt in front of the magnificent door of the large palace as the second general spoke.

After a short silence, an emotionless but heavy voice came from inside.

"Speak, have you succeeded?"

"Yes, I have succeeded in capturing the nameless universe as you ordered me to but—" just as the general was about to speak, the emperor interrupted him.

"Then announce this news across the universe; bring the pearl to the Grand Coliseum— there, in front of everyone, we will conquer another universe. Tomorrow morning will be the time; you will be greatly rewarded for your work." The voice of the emperor faded after giving the order.

"...I understand. We will take care of all the preparations and celebrate this occasion in the Grand Coliseum, in front of your subjects." The second general, hesitant at first, soon agreed as a small, calculating smile appeared on his face.

On the other hand, Zendax almost had a heart attack; now the situation had gone from bad to worst, and he was definitely going to receive the worst punishment.

'Our emperor is a heartless person; he relishes it when others are in pain, hearing screams is his favorite hobby, and showing off his cruelty and strength to others is the thing he loves most— that's why he wants to do it in front of everyone.

But now I... I will be tortured for all eternity,' Zendax thought, sweat pouring from every orifice on his body, his complexion growing much paler within moments.

"Oh, little Zendy, this is going to be even more fun now. I am sure the emperor is going to love the great gift that you are going to give him tomorrow," the second general spoke, making sure the emperor heard every word.

Then the two generals flew away, disappearing within moments and leaving behind a depressed Zendax who was wondering if he should commit suicide now or do it in front of the emperor.

Sighing, he cursed Jayden in his mind a few times and then decided to go back into his lavish house one last time.

'The first general had reached the high level of two stars, while the second is at two stars, and I don't even know much about the emperor's strength.

In front of such monsters, even life back in the nameless universe as a guardian seems like paradise— sigh, I miss it,' he thought, drowning in his misery.
