Eldritch Metaverse

Chapter 1: That Time I Reincarnated As A Fallen Eldritch

Chapter 1: That Time I Reincarnated As A Fallen Eldritch.

Disclaimer: I own none.

Most main characters die and then reincarnate to eventually end up with a harem, be op and stuff like that, right?

But before that, they meet some ROB, get some crazy powers, and can destroy entire universes on day one of reincarnation, right?

I mean. That's the usual trope, no?

But in the end. It's either the Authors just do it to appeal to readers or to satisfy themselves.

Willing to bet on the former though.

But. I get why, honestly. It's understandable—it's all fiction anyway.

Anyone can pick up a pen or phone and start writing whenever they want.

Sure, it's easier said than done.

Extremely true.

However, as long as you can form sentences in your own language, writing a book isn't impossible.

Some authors do it for free, just to share what's in their heads.

Others lock their exclusive content behind a paywall, which is a bit annoying, but oh well, there's nothing one can just do about that.

So… You might wonder why I'm going on and on about this.

Alright, I'll get to the point. I found myself in that situation.

And, of course, what situation may that be you might ask?

That situation whereby you die, meet ROB and get reincarnated… you know what, remove the sentence after the "whereby you die."

Yes. That cringe ass third-rate scenario.

Oh, you're angry I called it a third-rate scenario? You have every darn right to be. Even I hate this scenario I find myself in.

It's overused. Even to the point where if an ROB exists, they'd surely be hiding in shame.

I'm no better? Of course I'm not.

However…. The thing for me is… So far, the ROB I ended up facing is Azathoth himself.

Color yourself surprised~

Honestly, I shouldn't be this calm, but after losing my mind for what felt like forever, I finally got my senses back.

Time doesn't exist here. But it has definitely been forever since I arrived here.

And since then, I have just been chilling with it. Azathoth. AKA. AZZY.

Azzy definitely and one hundred percent aware I'm here, but it doesn't really care.

It has never bothered with me. It just sleeps, which is kind of boring.

"Hey, Azzy~"

As strange as Azathoth looks—moss-covered body, slimy round eyeballs, and tentacles—it's sort of cute.

Or that's just the sort of thing someone like me who had lost their mentality would think of an Eldritch Abomination that could make people go crazy just by saying its name.

But. I've accepted it.

Becoming an Eldritch spawn is my destiny. No doing anything about it nor thinking about it.

But Azzy….

".... Ignoring me again? Fine."

I nodded and sat there, floating in the vast void.

If you look far away, you can see stars, galaxies, and worlds shining like distant lights.

Although they may look distant, they are more distant than they look.

They are, afterall. Dimensions below us at an astronomical rate.

"But in the end. They all get destroyed whenever you wake up, so wake up~!"

I might be losing it since I'm not even sure what I'm talking about anymore.

I remember when some elders gods used to show up and put Azathoth back to sleep whenever I stir him up.

They'd glare at me, but they never really did anything to me.

Oh. Yeah, maybe that's because a certain someone is closer to Azzy than they might ever dream.

Heh! Can't blame them.

But still, they always just glare at me before disappearing, and since they aren't stopping me, might as well continue to stir awake the Primal god :3

On the other hand…. "Perhaps, was Azzy protecting me?" I asked, but got no answer.

Of course, what did I expect.

"Tsk. Anyway, since that's how it is, I'll help myself again."

I put my hand on Azathoth's rough flesh—it's surprisingly soft when you tug at it—and tore off a piece.

Like before, I stuffed it into my mouth, munching in it happily.

Perhaps. A little too happily.

Since I'm sure no one would like it. I'll exclude the gory details.

"Fuuu! I'm full."

Yeah, it's disgusting, but I've learned to deal with it.

As I digested Azathoth's flesh, I felt myself change even more.

I lost my mortality forever ago, and now I'm basically a soul filled with corruption.

Tentacles sprout from nowhere on command, so yeah. I'm an Eldritch Abomination now.

I switched my view to a third-person perspective, and I have to say, my eyes look pretty cool.

The white sclera turned black, and my irises are red now.

"Ahn~ I wish I could leave this place, but if I do, I won't be able to keep taking pieces from Azzy."

Azzy doesn't seem to care if I take its flesh.

It's weird, but who knows what it's thinking?

Does it even think in the first place? Not that I know the answer to that.

After all this time consuming its flesh, I've realized there's only so much I can take from the "Idiot god."

Compared to it, I'm maybe one percent of its power.

Still, even one percent of Azzy-chan is beyond most things because it's a TransDimensional Being.

By living here, I gained something called [Dimension Transcendent Authority].

But it's tied to Azzy, so I can't really control the Authority. I know. I'm a useless Eldritch, but I can't help it.

Or maybe I'm considered Azzy's child? Afterall, I spawned next to it after whatever led to my death in the forever past.

I've also met Nyarla and the others, and they treat me like family.

And, that's one reason why I've been feasting on Azzy—I hoped to get some control over its power.

"Cannibalism is fun~"

We're beings who aren't bound by normal morality anyway, so I don't hold back.

As for my old morals and mortality? B*tch, do you know how many years I lost my shit for?

If I had the chance, I'd *************.

...

...….

...….

Sorry, got a bit carried away there.

"Ahem, anyways, the reason I'm talking about this is because I finally found what I was looking for."

I grinned.

Finally, I can leave this place—well, not completely.

Because of Dimensional Transcendent Authority, I can't just drop into lower dimensions any time I want.

Actually, I'm not able to do that yet.

BUT!

I can create an avatar in a lower world and inhabit it. Sure, I'll be weaker, but still strong enough.

I may be a disappointment of an Eldritch, but hey! I'm one percent Azathoth.

And I pride myself in that, hehehe.

On that note. I've noticed even the fictional worlds from my past life exist out there, not that I remember them anymore.

When you're eternal. You start to outlive your memories. But yes. I did oddly remember so.

You see—

This place is the Outer Root of everything; once you get here, you can mess with concepts like they're physical things.

I can twist space-time with a single punch, though that's not a big deal for beings who can manipulate reality on an even higher level.

Compared to Yog and the others… no, maybe comparing myself to mommy Yog is a bit too much.

Ah yes. Compared to Nyarla and the rest, I'm seriously still lacking.

So I had thought maybe I could go down to those lower worlds, absorb their power.

Then, send it back to my Dimensional Transcendent main body to make it stronger.

Once that power fuses with a Dimensional Transcendent being, it could upgrade itself to become a Transcendent power too, no?

One plus two is three, right?

That realization really gets me high.

Hence, I got to work.

You see. Being at the Outer Root of all creation, one can precisely and instinctively, just by thinking about it, know how many worlds are out there.

At the very least, it's possible due to Dimensional Transcendent.

If a third-dimensional author of a book should write, "there are three thousand worlds that support life in the universe" in his fictional work.

Every three-dimensional being that can access his fictional work already has the knowledge that there are three thousand worlds that support life in that book.

Here, the exact estimate would be ###[Censored]###.

"???"

"Oh my. Seems like I'm forbidden to say it out loud. But it matters not."

I said, I brushed my hair behind my ears. Next. It's all about locating which world I want to go to.

I could take my time to select which unfortunate world I'd descend to….

However, what's the fun in that?

"Why not randomly just send my avatar? Wherever it lands is where I'll be."

Gacha is just as chaotic as it can be. It embodies the concept of randomness.

That is. It could be whatever.

At the very least, if I don't pop into any world under YHWH's jurisdiction, then I'm free to do as I like.

That guy scares me, honestly. Why, you ask? And who's YHWH, you ask?

That dude is the all-powerful God of Christianity. He is the embodiment of all Christian beliefs.

And that naturally means all of his feats recorded in the Bible are more than real and even beyond that.

After all, going by the biblical statement of him separating Nothingness, which in this world's context could be Azathoth—the primal chaos—and sent him to where he is today...

My interpretation when I knew YHWH existed is like above and like so below.

Azzy first existed as he is nothingness itself, then YHWH's will just popped into existence and separated Azzy, which is the primal chaos and nothingness.

And that's how we have the metaverse today. Or so I speculated.

See. I don't know which world I popped into, but yes. Beings like them exist. Even SCP's exist as ridiculous as it is. Exists here.

However, from what I know, YHWH's forces and the SCP's are tucked in some other regions of the Outer Root.

So, you can see why I want to get stronger. I'm not ambitious enough to say I want to be stronger than Azzy or YHWH.

However, just being near their level is okay for me.

Anyways, as I was about to leave the rest to the concept of randomness, I let out a small sigh.

I was already in preparation to descend when I suddenly came to an abrupt stop.

Rather. Something paused me in my tracks. Something dangerous. My existence was in danger. Or so I felt.

[Warning: The Absolute Light is watching you.]

If I were to be a system user. This is no doubt a warning I would have seen, but YHWH?

I haven't even done anything yet. Why is he watching? And if he is— "Crap. Was it because I thought about him?"

No. That couldn't be right. But I don't have the time to dwell on it.

My eyes widened as I saw the sleeping Azzy slowly stir awake. The whole void was shaking.

It wasn't the void. The whole Outer Root of creation that transcends dimensions was shaking. No doubt even the others are panicking.

In a place where little light should only exist. YHWH's presence alone lit up the entire place. I am right to be scared of him.

However, it seems like it wasn't Azzy's main body that had stirred awake.

Rather a mass of blob that was separated from Azzy, taking a humanoid blurry and blob-like form, countering the gaze of YHWH.

As I thought. Azzy is protecting me.

Who the hell said it is madness incarnate? Bullshit! Don't you see how kind it is?

Azzy-chan is a victim of circumstances. It's just as I thought. I was right all along.

Azzy-chan is simply misunderstood.

While the Outer Root of creation was trembling under their gazes, I had simply sat in the void and nodded my head, forgetting YHWH for a moment.

"Ghskdjsosbsisnsisnsksnsowte8sksm."

I heard a bunch of filtered sounds suddenly invade my mind. That must be Azzy-chan, I take it.

This is the first time Azzy-chan is speaking to me. Ahn~ I'm blessed~

I thought as I gazed at the humanoid blob-like figure that was still changing.

However— 'Get away from here.'

Were the words I deciphered from the Eldritch god? "Eh?" And in that moment…..

I felt my connection to Azzy-chan cut.

My [Dimensional Transcendent Authority] that had been linked to Azzy was cut off.

I felt myself losing a massive chunk of myself. Like my existence was being reduced at an astronomical pace.

"Wha– What the! Wait. No way. AZZY!"

No! This can't be! Why did you do such a thing? WHY DID YOU DITCH ME!

AZZY! Yet, why did one part of me feel like Azzy did it to protect me?

If that's the case, then is YHWH after me? Why?

Ugh, this feels like something out of a cringe-ass third-rate fanfiction. I can't stand such a thing!

But as I thought so—

["Trans-Narrative Authority" has been acquired].

I seem to have felt myself acquire a new authority as I began to black out, falling, drowning into dimensions.
