Chapter 93: Chapter 92 - Tolbana and Meeting Saya
"Woah, I need to make a place like this inside Dungeon," Aransae sat on the exterior walls of the amphitheatre in Tolbana.
This place was a town in the valley, a part of it in both sides connected by a bridge in between. Aransae admired how they took advantage of the beautiful mountain view with such a place, and the theatre was simply incredible.
Along with the forest that led to the massive architecture, like the monkey kings iron bar that fell from the heaven, connecting this floor and the next. He couldn't help but admire the view in front of him.
He swung his leg, watching over the beautiful scenery. It had been 2 weeks since this game started. The leading players started settling down in Tolbana and make their way to the Labyrinth in the distance. It also meant that he couldn't stay here long. Especially since many of the leading players were from his world or zombie world.
They were all doing brilliantly, and he only saw them from the distance before deciding to move on. It didn't hurt to admire the scenery before moving on.
Aransae pulled out the notebook that Aurelius gave him with the details of the First Floor. He started drawing the scenery in front of him. He planned to make a few blueprints for his Dungeon Floors in the future.
He was having the time of his life, sitting there in silence, drawing when a loud, sharp voice interrupted him, "Hey you!!!"
"YOU! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME! COME DOWN HERE!!!"
Aransae raised his eyes from the notebook. He dropped on his back, his head hanging off the ledge, looking at the amphitheatre stairs. He searched around, focusing on the short, solid build man with orange spiky hair. Though it was more like spiked ball on the man's head, which made him laugh.
He grabbed the ledge, pushing himself off the wall, falling towards the ground. He twirled in the air, landing on his toes, bending his knees to regain his stance.
He barely had the time to look up when he found the man running to him, grabbing him by his collar and shouting at the top of his voice, "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!"
"HEY I ASKED YOU HOW YOU DID THAT?!!!"
Aransae blanked out for a moment. Now that he thought about it, this was the first time he came face to face with someone so brazen and forward. Others gave him a certain amount of respect.
Even his worst enemy had been his friend, who didn't know they were friends, so he never minded anything he said or even remembered.
"How do I deal with this situation?"
"HUH! ARE YOU DEAF!"
Aransae turned his head to look at the ceiling of First Floor, "What would Spindra do?"
"Heh," a smile appeared on his lips. He could just imagine Aurum slamming this man in the face and protect Spindra. Or Spindra tying him up with the threads and stop him from moving.
He felt slightly giddy, chuckling to himself when those thoughts crossed his minds, "Mm, what I can do is..."
He raised his arms, placing his palms together, tapping them a few times before he clapped them together, causing a loud sound. The man trembled, stopping in the middle of the shouting. He stumbled backwards, his eyes shaking. He fell to his knees, panting.
"Oh, that worked," Aransae watched the spiky-ball headed man who fell over his knees, "this could be my signature move."
"AAARG!!" The man shook his head, his hands over his ears, "HOW DO YOU DO THESE!!! YOU BETA TESTER!!!"
The man sprung to his feet, still shaken. He grabbed Aransae by the collar, only to hear a loud clap that shook his head.
Aransae's cloak slipped through his finger as keeled over again. He wasn't just shaken. He was trembling all over, "I wonder if you would gain resistance to these in a while."
Aransae stopped, looking outwards at the labyrinth in the distance, "Maybe I shouldn't do this too much, in case it kills you?"
He shrugged, waiting for the orange-headed man to climb up and shout at him again. The man turned, scampering on his hands and feet to get away from here, shouting, "THIS IS NOT OVER!!!!"
"Uh...I don't even know how to react to that," Aransae held his smile. He could already see people gathering around the edges of the Amphitheater and he decided to take his leave.
He clapped his hands together, taking in all the fantasies and knowledge from his memories to replicate the Stunner. It took a few small claps for him to get used to the position of the palms, but now he could do it much more easily.
[Learned New Martial Arts - Would you like to name the Original Martial Arts?]
"Clap Stunner," Aransae tried to use the Martial Arts, but the Cardinal System stopped him from doing. He put his hands inside the cloak, speeding up his steps to run out of Tolbana. Since it was taking time to walk, he pulled out the notebook and started writing about how to do this move.
By the time he had filled the pages with all the information about the Martial Move, the town borders were in sight. He hastened his footsteps, rushing out of the town and its rules.
He stepped on to the grassland, taking a deep breath as he expectantly looked towards his palms. He activated the Martial Arts, seeing a blue energy wrap around his palms as they came together.
CLAP
A small shockwave spread out from his palms, covering a meter around him. His hood fluttered with the wind, his hazel eyes sparkling, "that...has to be the coolest thing I ever did!"
He opened the menu to look at the skills page, which showed the experience bar under the two clapping hands. He gained a little, and it was still Level 1, "But...I can't do that with a weapon equip...is this like a per-emptive move."
"Hm, that would work," he planned on trying this new move on a beast when he heard the sound coming from behind him.
"Hey!! You!!"
"Stop!"
"STOP!"
Aransae clapped his palms together. He turned to look behind him to see who was calling out to him. He raised his arm, waving at her pink haired girl who came running towards him, "Lady Saya!"
Saya ran up to him, breathing heavily from running all the way to him. She rested her arms on her knees, wiping the sweat off her cheeks, "I knew it was you."
Aransae pulled away his hood, letting his honey brown hair fall to his shoulder. He slowly blinked his hazel eyes with a warm calming smile in them, "you were right."
Saya furrowed her brows, staring at him, "You are different..."
"Am I? That's good. Then this trip has meaning," Aransae put his palm in front of her.
Saya looked towards his palm, then back at him, wondering what he wanted. She hesitantly took his hand and Aransae turned to walk forward towards the plains. She was expecting him to say something when they kept walking. It was strange for her, since she felt so angry.
Just a few months ago, they were living like normal students, and then the WEEK from Hell visited them. In that week, she survived the zombie apocalypse, managed to confess to the man she had loved for years, and shed her humanity.
And then the love of her life decided to kill himself, and the man who held her arm was the one who killed him. She was filled with so much anger. The only reason she decided to come here was to give this man a piece of her mind. Yet, now that he was in front of her, none of those words came out.
All she could barely manage to speak out was a very painful, "why...? Why did she not stop him...? If she had!! He wouldn't have gone through it!!!"
Aransae stopped to look at her. He cupped her cheeks, wiping her tears, "You are crying..."
"Of course, I am crying! I don't understand why!!"
"You know...Dungeon's energy is enough to take away anyone's inhibitions. It is like a drug that people can't resist. they want more of it. The only ones I found hard to make mine are the High Gods or Demon King Sirzechs and Ajuka. There is also the Leader of Fallen Angels. Then there was Aurum...and Eve."
"From being untouched by the Dungeon, she went to drowning in it. I don't know why...he would do that. Or why she would allow him to or go along with it. All I can tell you...it's not easy for her too."
Saya bit her lip, "Fuckkk! I don't get them!"
"Neither do I," Aransae smiled, "On that note. I don't get me either."
"Do you? Get yourself?"
"Of course I do," Saya earnestly looked up into his eyes, wiping her tears off her cheeks.
"What are you doing here?"
"I-I came to ask you! Ask her why! I want to get stronger! To go to that world where they are living now! I want to find Aurum!"
Aransae smiled. He pointed towards east, "Go there. In the middle of the forest is a village. Aurelius and Eve are there. You should go, meet them."
"No!"
"I don't understand why you people are so sad. Since to me, Aurelius is Aurum. Arcus is Aurum, and Aurum born will be Aurum. And when they go back to being one again, they will be Aurum. Right now...as incomplete as they might be...they are him. Every one of you is reeling in loss of the person now...I am waiting for his return."
Saya clenched her teeth, trying not to blink. She held her breath, looking up, until she couldn't handle it any longer. She fell into his arms, burying her head in his chest, crying.
Aransae confusedly looked at her. He held her with his elbows, taking out a notebook from his storage, along with a pen, writing today's fundamental questions that he had about people.
"Why did ball head run away?"
"Why did Saya cry?"
He whispered under his breath, tapping his pen on the notebook. He put them back in the storage, suggesting, "Go, meet them."
"No, I won't!"
"Um...why?"
"I just won't! You have a problem with that?!"
"I do," Aransae hurriedly nodded, "I don't understand."
Saya shook her head, "You are going to the Labyrinth?"
"I am..."
"Ok...message me if you need something," Saya opened the menu, ready to send him the friend request.
"Thank you, Lady Saya. If you meet your mother, then tell her I want to see her."
Saya rolled her eyes, "Stay away from my mother!"
"Ok, then you can take her place."
"Stay away from me too!"
"Hm, no. Either her or you. Or both. There is no option to choose none," he chuckled, stroking her cheek, "Go to the village to meet him, and send your mother to me. I'll be waiting."
Saya parted her lips in surprise, staring at his back. She blushed, shouting, "she won't! And I won't go!"
Aransae waved his hand, walking away. He pulled on the hood, making his way towards the distance Labyrinth.
Saya watched him until he disappeared, muttering, "weirdo."
