Chapter 83: Chapter 83 - Family Visit

"Master, you are late," Rias pouted. She stroked her his shoulder, straightening his shirt and coat, "my big brother is here. So is Grayfia."

"Can I leave then," Aransae looked away from her. He didn't like these super, insanely powerful people like Satan and Gods. He could affect them, but he wasn't strong enough to take over.

"Of course not, master," Rias grabbed his arm. "You are my Master. That means we have to be more involved, even if you don't want to."

"Not that I don't want to. I have better things to do."

Rias stood in front of him. She tucked her arms behind her back, tilting her head. She softly smiled, "Ok. Go do better things."

Aransae watched her, noticing the fake smile on her lips. He sighed. He took her arm, "Yes, of course. If only I had something better to do."

"Really," Rias tilted her head. She looked into his eyes, "Master, do you...?"

"No... let's just say, there are a lot of tortured husbands in the Dungeon who couldn't understand the look from their wives."

"Now, you are joking," Rias stopped. She stood in front of him, stroking his arm. She looked into his eyes, "Wife?"

"I can't, Rias. Not yet," Aransae pressed his forehead against her.

"I know," Rias circling her arms around his neck, hugging him, "I know..."

Aransae picked her up in his arms, "Nothing to be sad about. I am getting closer. Now, I am searching for things that would go against the core of my will. Like being Evil. So, I took a step forward."

"I can tell," Rias hugged his arm. She lovingly smiled, "I can tell..."

Clear Throat

Rias raised her head to find her big brother standing at the end of the hallway, "could you please not eavesdrop?"

"I wasn't trying to," Sirzechs chuckled, "aren't you joining us on the table?"

"We are," Aransae walked out of the corridor with them. They were at Hyoudou Residence, which had been converted into a mansion where they all lived together. He wasn't ready for that. Living with other people.

Among all the people on the table. He was familiar with his Peerage Members. Though, his eyes stayed on Issei's mother, who bit her lip, lowering her head and silently ate. He took a seat after Rias's brother, Sirzechs Lucifer took his at the head of the table, because of his position among the Devils. Granted the title of Lucifer.

They silently ate for moments before. Sirzechs took a breath and began to speak, "I haven't heard from you, Sir Aransae?"

"Apologies...I have been busy with the Dungeon."

"An apology is not why I say that," the young Lucifer gave him a smile. "I am curious if there's something going on with you. As of recently."

Aransae curiously blinked, "Yes. I have started making monsters outside of the Dungeon. They are currently in the shadows. Mainly, I am waiting for this Triparty Conference to pass. In case the Church and Angels decide to come after me for spreading the monsters."

Sirzechs eyes met with Rias, who looked away. He turned back to Aransae with a worried expression, "that...you can't do that. Monsters inside the Dungeon are fine, but anything that comes outside is going to be actionable."

"Oh. Even from your side?"

"Yes, that is one of the duties of the Devils who may rule on a town or city. We have to keep the monsters in check," Sirzechs calmly explained, "something that Rias should have told you."

"My apologies," Rias lowered her head in apology.

"Hm," Aransae put his fork and knife down. He came to a result, "Yes, that's what I want next."

He got up, "Would you excuse me for a moment? I'll see you all tomorrow."

Rais sighed, glancing towards where Aransae was standing. He teleported inside the magic circle. She shot a glaring look at her brother, "Brother! Next time if he sat down. Can you not talk to him."

"Ahaha," Sirzechs scratched his cheek, from her glaring look, "Is it my turn to apologise?"

"Yes, absolutely," Grayfia appeared behind him, "he managed to slip away?"

"Yes. He had an idea, so that is progress," Rias sighed, "He...he's taking great strides towards his goal."

"I see, that's good," Sirzechs smiled, "He's a fine young man. Despite what little of him he managed to regain. It would honour me to meet the man behind it all."

Rias looked towards the fork and knife that he left behind. She traced them, putting them aside, remembering their talk in the hall. She gave a loving smile, "Yes, so would I."

Ninja World, Kumogakure, A certain house,

"And that's why you ran away?" Eve chuckled, placing tea in front of him.

"It never bothered me. An enormous crowd. Now, even sitting in front of my whole peerage makes me want to run away."

"It's probably because you are grasping the concept of society," Aurelius sat on his study table, tapping the pen on the table. He started writing the information about the war from the Third Raikage's memory.

Aransae looked towards Eve, who shrugged, "What big brother?"

Aurelius stopped writing. He swivelled the chair to look at Aransae, "From what I understand. Your will from inside the Dungeon. The Dungeon doesn't have souls. It has their last wishes, their desires, and these desires reflect their life. Like Faux Souls. But not real ones. You control all of them with the force of your will."

"First, people started coming in your territory and you made them submit, and shoved these controlled desires for them. Hence, controlling them. Then, you got a body and went out, and you understood everything, but you couldn't connect with people."

"Next, you went to a world where you felt emotions. Even connected with yourself, despite the antics that would likely embarrass you for the next thousand years to come."

Aurelius tapped the pen on the palm of his hand. He smirked, "Now, you found a connection with yourself and other people. Now that you are seeing people. You are noticing their individualities. The part of them you can't control. And that's...your fear."

"Your fear," He leaned forward, "congratulations. You are becoming human."

"Huh...I don't like it," Aransae fell sideways. His head fell in Eve's laps, who backed away in surprise before she smiled. She stroked his head.

"You should not like it," Aurelius raised his eyebrows. He narrowed his black eyes, "You were a human once. You became something akin to a God. And now, you are going back to being human. Evolution is exhilarating. Degradation is...I don't even know what that would feel like. For humans to turn into monkeys. No..."

"A better explanation would be seeing humans watch themselves. Even desiring themselves to become abiogenesis."

"Big brother, on the risk of sounding dumb...that is?"

"Basically a theory that all human life became with a single organism that came into being during the chemical soup created when Earth was forming. It was simple, it divided, and it grew more complex."

"Hm," Aurelius glanced towards Aransae again, "Single, divided, more complex. Now, I am not sure what path you are following...Evolution or Degradation."

Aransae chuckled, "maybe there is some sense when people say, God is Life. Be it a simple organism, it is life and if it the most complex one, it is life. And it is a part of God. That's how it goes inside Dungeon."

"Hm, maybe," Aurelius shrugged, "What are you going to do now?"

"Not deal with enormous crowds. Maybe I should wear a paper bag on my face like Gasper and sit in the corner of a room like him and observe people."

Aransae looked into Eve's smiling eyes, that calmed him down. Especially when she ran her fingers through his hair.

"That's one idea," Eve whispered, "any other idea?"

"I have one," Aransae sat up a little. He looked towards Aurelius, "Did Saya and others come here?"

"Yes. For a while. Although, I couldn't have them come all the way. Kumogakure Ninjas are monitoring us," Aurelius gave him a troubled look, "I have a plan to go around that. It would take time. What do you want with them?"

"From the knowledge inside the Dungeon. Succubi can go into the minds or dreams of people and make them have sex dreams. Until now, I took all the Evil from the First Five Floors, and the Dungeon Energy, which was easy with Apocalypse going in one world, and War in the other. I needed to keep Evil close to know that's not what I want to be."

"Hm, that's not a bad idea."

"It's not. You see, I was talking with Sirzechs, one of the Four Demon Kings. He said that I can't have monsters running around because they are visible. I thought, what if these monsters were inside their dreams. And I decided that I need to impart these abilities to my monster. To be a dream. For that, I need dreams."

"Hm," Aurelius thoughtfully stared at the pen, "if you kept Evil close, then you should focus on Hope. From Hope, reach into their Dreams."

"Hope, what kind of creature carries hope?"

"For a man? It's a woman. From woman, they see the hope to satisfy their lust, needs, dreams, desires. Once they get to know her, they hope to provide them with safety, with everything they need. To look for adoration and their love. To be wanted by them, needed by them. Everything a man does is in hope to be loved, respected, and keep his family safe. From a boy to a man. From desire, to dream, to hope, to reality. For a man, hope is a woman."

Eve gave a troubled sigh, "big brother, that is radical. Hope is more than that."

"Is it?" Aurelius pushed the chair forward using his feet. He slid forward, stopping in front of her, "For me. Hope if you, Eve."

"I dream of you, my needs are you. My desires are you. I want to protect you, keep you safe. I want you to look at me with adoration and love. To be wanted, needed by you. To be loved by you, adored by you, respected by you. To adore you, love you back, to hold you, want you, need you. My hope...is you."

Eve nibbled her lip, lowering her gaze, "I thought..."

"What, that I didn't love you anymore," Aurelius patted her cheek. He held her chin, raising her head to look into her deep ruby eyes, "I am still cut off from my body. In my mind. I have made love with you ten thousand times. Yet, I have no desire. That is with all the Dungeon Energy around. I am still finding a way around that…"

"Want me to help you with that?" Aransae blinked a few times, asking.

Aurelius exchanged a look with Eve, who raised her eyebrows, giving him a seductive look that made his heart skip a beat. He looked towards Aransae, "Ok. How about this. Next time you have a large, dirty fun planned. Then we'll pay a visit."

Aransae curved his eyes into a smile, "Now, I am hopeful."
