Chapter 3: Chapter 2 'Training'
Training
--
"Do you understand it now, Vael?"
Vael Beleth, the heir of the Beleth Clan looked at his mother- Brisha Vael, she was currently teaching her son future heir, some battle tactics. She specifically focused on small-scale combat today.
The small-scale combat meant Rating games, duels, and minor skirmishes. Hailing from the Glaya-Labolas Clan and also being the younger sister of Flabium Asmosedeu, Brisha was one of the best strategists and tacticians in the underworld.
Vael nodded his head, he had turned three a month ago. He had taken his classes consistently ever since he started it.
Both of his parents took time to educate him. They also hired tutors to provide him with the best education.
In their eyes and everyone's eyes, he was a very strong devil in making. His power was already well ahead of his peers. Although only a select few knew of how much he was capable of it.
Unlike the other heirs, Vael had a passion to learn and train. He was a hard worker and a genius.
"That is why you should always strive to learn every detail about the opponent, from small habits to knowledge about their powers. If you wish to become a capable commander and a strong leader, you should know how to use the hands you are dealt with." Brisha stated.
"I understand Mother" Vael once again nodded his head.
"Okay, then today's class is over."
Vael jumped from the armchair he was sitting on. They were currently in Brisha's office. It was a lavish office with beautiful furniture and expensive art pieces here and there. The design of the office looked Victorian, the beautiful smell of aged parchment and fine incense filled the office.
The atmosphere of the office excluded authority and refinement.
The entire palace of Beleth excluded lavishness, mysteriousness and authority. Beleth was one of the most mysterious clans in the 72 pillars and their palace and few public appearances amplified it.
"I am taking my leave now" Vael did a small bow and Brisha nodded, her gaze darting over her son for a few moments before she looked at the documents in front of her.
[Teleportation Magic]
A purple magic circle appeared on the ground Vael was standing on, the magic circle glowed a bit before disappearing and with it, Vael too disappeared.
Brisha sighed.
'How many times did I say to that child not to use spells in the palace'

Vael's Pov
I appeared in my room. Teleportation magic was really handy, I really loved it although the spell itself was very difficult to perform. That's why a magic circle was used.
The concept of the magic circle and the aspect of imagination in using demonic power to use spells intertwined with each other.
Yes, from what I learned, Devils did not just use imagination to create and use spells. For that would be way too illogical and way too overpowered.
The use of imagination was prevalent in Devil's Magic System, but it was not everything. The devils had to learn the base spell or magic circles then only they could modify it with their imagination. Devils had to understand the magic itself and once understood, then only could they use their imagination to truly use demonic power.
If this was not the case, then all devils would naturally be spell-casters.
Although this was not the case for all devils as some naturally created spells through using only their imagination, it was very rare.
Magic circles in simple terms were mathematical equations or programming code for magic. They were prewritten spells. Although the devils could understand a spell and learn it to make magic circles instead of just memorizing the mathematical equation. The devils could use spells without magic circles but that risked wild and inefficient casting.
There were also demonic power restraints which truly prevented them from using the imagination to their full extent.
So yes, Devil magic was also complex but if one had enough demonic power and enough understanding of spells. They could certainly use spells with only their imagination.
It was the reason why the gap between different classes of the devil in terms of power level was huge.
The gap was even more prevalent at top of hierarchy, the gap between a Mid-Ultimate class and High-Ultimate Class was huge. High-Ultimate class included devils like Serafall Leviathan and Falbium Asmodeus.
I got from my bed once again. I changed into my training dress.
I stood before the mirror, adjusting my black, sleeveless tunic that hugged my torso snugly and allowed freedom of movement. My form-fitting pants clung to my legs, tailored for agility.
I slipped on my black leather boots, sturdy yet light, perfect for quick maneuvers.
'I look good, don't I?'
[Teleportation Magic]
A teleportation circle once again appeared below me, the dim light teleported me to the training grounds.
In front of me my father's [Knight]-Vivar.
His full name I learned when I studied about evil pieces and reincarnated devils. His was one of the names that stood out.
Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar also known as El Cid, The Eternal Champion of Spain.

Author's Note: I will try to keep original characters to minimum although even if I did introduce many original characteristics, I would make them something like El Cid- a well renowned figure from our world.
