Chapter 39
Extra chapter thanks to Al
SP Allocation
After pumping myself up, I left the Demon Dog Dungeon and came to the branch office of the Explorers’ Association to apply for the Silver exam.
And the application for the Silver exam went without a hitch, and the Silver exam went on!
“Or I thought it was. I didn’t expect they’d cancel the Silver exam.”
I muttered as I came from the Explorers’ Association and rolled over on my bed.
Yes, I could apply for the Silver exam, but it didn’t say when I could take it.
The reason is the aftermath of the monster stampede.
Well, I guess I can’t blame the association this time.
The receptionist who took care of my application for the Silver exam had dark circles under their eyes, and they seemed to be having a hard time.
Well, I heard that all the Dungeon Association’s employees are busy investigating the abnormal situation of the irregular monster stampede on top of their normal duties.
The receptionist also said that because of such a state of affairs, it was hard to get enough staff to conduct the practical test for the Silver certification, so they canceled.
It’s them again! Tagaya and his gang!
Those guys are nothing but trouble, aren’t they?
“Well, what am I going to do?”
In the meantime, I heard they’ll contact me when the exam date is set, but I’ve got nothing to do until that time.
Well, first things first.
“Status.”

I need to use this accumulated SP.
With this level up, my overall stats went up to four digits. In particular, my agility and mental strength, which I’ve assigned BP, have increased across the board.
So, I’ll use SP to raise my skill level and get new skills, while thinking about the future.
Well, I’ve already decided what I’ll use for my SP.
I will use SP to acquire and improve the skills necessary for soloing the C-rank dungeon.
Here is the result.
——
[Abnormal Resistance Lv.10]: 280 SP
[Prediction Lv.10]: 280SP
[Evasion Lv.10]: 280SP
[Dagger Art Lv.10]: 135SP
[Enemy Search Lv.10]: 50SP
[Stealth Lv.10]: 200 SP
[Archery Lv.20]: 775SP

This time I had a lot of SP, I could take a lot of skills, and I could increase my other skills.
However, I still need these auxiliary skills for a solo dungeon attack. The newly acquired skills I took were [Abnormal Resistance], [Predict], and [Evasion].
To explain these three, [Abnormal Resistance] increases resistance to abnormal conditions such as poison, paralysis, and curses.
I have a high mental capacity. Even if something attacks me with a status effect, it is usually ineffective.
However, in the dungeons above C rank, some monsters will come up to me and try to poison me by biting me and pouring it directly into my body.
As a solo player, the equation of “death” to “attacked by abnormality” is more likely to be correct, so I can say that such skill to resist abnormality is essential from now on.
The next skill, [Predict], is a passive skill similar to [Eagle Eye], which allows me to anticipate my opponent’s movements and predict the trajectory of their attacks.
And finally, [Evasion].
This skill improves my ability to avoid enemy attacks.
Specifically, if I take evasive action, your agility status will be increased a little.
Thanks to these three skills, my combat ability to avoid enemies’ attacks and hit a powerful, inevitable attack.
I think it is no exaggeration to say that I have been able to bring this fighting style closer to perfection.
These three skills will become more and more effective as I level up, so I hope to see more of them in the future.
And for the remaining SP, I raised the skill level of skills that had not yet reached 10, except for [Item Box] and [Appraisal], to 10, and raised the skill level of [Archery] to 20.
I could afford to keep [Item Box] and [Appraisal] as they are, and the other three are combat-related skills, so there is no harm in raising their levels.
There is a reason why I set the [Archery] skill at skill level 20 instead of the [Lock-On] skill.
“Because the Silver exam looks mainly at combat skills. I want it at least level 20.”
No matter how much I take the Silver exam, if I don’t have the minimum combat skills, I’d be sucked into the practical exam.
As expected, I can’t use foul techniques with the [Lock-On] skill in the exam, and I don’t want to be called inexperienced and told that I’ve raised my level through power leveling.
So, I can say that my current [Lock-On] skill is good enough for performance, and this time I was allowed to raise my [Archery].
Well, whatever it is, it’s a lot stronger now.
“What shall I do until the exam?”
I haven’t solved my original problem of what I could do until the Silver exam.
