Dragon Ball: Escaping from Planet Vegeta

Chapter 11: Battle Rages On and Salari

The attacks continued incessantly, accompanied by muffled sounds.

Fists and kicks collided, and the battleground kept shifting.

Judging from the situation alone, it was without a doubt one-sided battle. Talot, with a power level of 360, was being chased and beaten by Raditz, whose power level was 550.

At one point, he was at an impasse, but at a crucial moment, Talot turned the tide.

In a real battle, summarize your past training and the application of various techniques, keeping what is effective and eliminating unnecessary movements.

As the battle intensified, Talot entered a state of total immersion.

Although he was merely fending off Raditz's attacks, he began to understand the joy of battle.

No wonder Saiyans are battle maniacs—the heat of battle makes their blood boil, driving them to become stronger and thirst for the excitement brought by even more powerful strength.

"You managed to block that too. It seems you haven't been wasting your time; you must have been training everyday," Raditz said with a smile while maintaining his attacks.

His voice carried a tone of provocation.

He thought that the strength he used would be enough to defeat Talot, but he didn't expect Talot to still hang on.

"Of course, I haven't been wasting my time. Watch this move." Talot grinned, and in the next second, his body turned into an afterimage. In a short time, he created multiple afterimages, surrounding Raditz.

Afterimage Fist!

Of course, this wasn't the original work's Turtle School's Afterimage Fist, but something similar.

Talot, through his understanding of this technique, improved and trained it to create an effect similar to super-speed Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.

Seeing this, Raditz was slightly surprised, as he couldn't pinpoint Talot's real body due to his speed.

"So, did you develop this move just to run away? If all you do is dodge, you're not a qualified warrior!" Raditz's eyes darted around, trying to find a flaw.

Talot's voice echoed around Raditz, making it impossible to locate him: "Any technique depends on how you use it. This move of mine is not just for dodging or running away."

"Mere tricks! If I can't find your real body, I'll just destroy all these afterimages first." Raditz's decisiveness impressed Talot.

Raditz launched his attack, and within moments, he had destroyed the dozen afterimages created by Talot.

"Found you!" Though some afterimages still remained, Raditz seemed to have located Talot amidst his attacks.

However, he didn't realize this was a deliberate flaw created by Talot.

As Raditz destroyed one of the afterimages with a punch, all the afterimages seemed to vanish, but Raditz didn't feel any sensation from his punch.

"Not good!" Realizing something was amiss, Raditz instinctively looked up.

"Take this!" A flying kick descended from the sky.

Raditz raised his arms to block but was still kicked away by the immense force, flying back more than ten meters before recovering through a series of backward flips.

"Since your strength doesn't match mine, you used the momentum of falling to increase your power. You're quite clever, I'll give you that." Raditz said, shaking his aching arm.

Such a criticizing tone would surely make most people feel indignant.

But Talot remained calm; he had been hiding his true strength all along. No matter what Raditz said, he kept his composure.

"I told you, fighting isn't just about strength," Talot replied casually. Then, his aura dramatically changed, like a fierce tiger emerging from its mountain, and he charged at Raditz.

Influenced by Talot's aura, Raditz's fighting intent surged.

Driven by his competitive nature, he unleashed even greater power.

The battle between the two reached a fever pitch.

The fight grew increasingly intense.

At this moment, neither of the two combatants knew that their fight had already attracted a crowd of onlookers, who were making various comments.

Among them was a strikingly beautiful and valiant girl.

Her name was Salari, and like Talot and Raditz, she was also five years old.

However, her power level was only 100, so she was a low-class warrior.

Of course, because of her power level, she wasn't treated as an expendable and sent out to invade planets from a young age. Instead, she grew up with her parents.

Talot was her childhood sweetheart.

However, Talot, being a reincarnated adult, was not interested in such feelings.

[Raditz is so annoying. He comes back just to show off his strength and bully Brother Talot.]

In Salari's heart, she did not like Raditz at all.

The reason was simple. Ever since he was little, Raditz always had an arrogant attitude.

Especially after he started following Prince Vegeta, it became even more apparent.

...

On the other side.

Naturally, Bardock was also paying attention to the battle!

Knowing about the fight, he had ended his bath quickly and came out to check on the situation.

Even though for a warrior of his level, such childish sparring was of little interest, this was, after all, a fight between his own son and his nephew* Talot. [*The word used here can also be used to refer to a friend's son.]

"This kid, even I underestimated him. With a power level of only 360, he can still exhibit such strength," Bardock couldn't help but marvel.

Regarding Talot, his eyes showed both appreciation and curiosity. He wondered how Talot had become so strong and mastered his strength to this extent.

Although Raditz was stronger, if they were to fight at the same level, Raditz might be inferior to Talot.

"Raditz is really something. Knowing his power level is 200 points higher, he still doesn't hold back at all," Gine said worriedly from the side.

"Hmph! It's not good to be too rigid. Although Raditz has grown a lot and matured in many ways, his understanding of combat is still lacking. Compared to Talot, he is far behind," Bardock said with a hint of regret.

Raditz's strength did please him, but his combat style was not acceptable. Only those foolish elite upper-class warriors would fight in such a manner.

Excessively pursuing overwhelming strength to crush opponents.

Hearing this, Gine turned her head curiously, "Bardock, are you saying Raditz is going to lose to Talot? But it looks like Talot is almost out of strength."

"I'm not saying Raditz will lose. It's just that Raditz could win much more easily and efficiently, but his relentless aggression means that, in a way, he's losing even if he wins!"

Winning against a weaker opponent by using a higher level of strength while consuming so much energy—if it were a life-and-death battle, Raditz would be left with no way out."

As a warrior who had grown up through countless battles, Bardock saw Raditz's problem very clearly.

Upon hearing this, Gine continued to watch the battle.

Although her power level was only 600 and she couldn't fully understand Bardock's point, she knew that her husband couldn't be wrong.
