Dragon Ball: A Better Bulma

Chapter 15: 15: Talk to Kami-Sama.

Under the effect of her Ki ball, some scratches on Goku's body healed quickly, and the most serious wound, the one at the base of his tail, quickly showed granulation.

The unconscious Goku squirmed a bit in Gohan's arms, the boy had been quite exhausted after his experience as Ozaru, but Bulma noticed that his emotions were becoming more agitated, indicating that he would soon wake up.

"An interesting technique. Do you use the vital property of Ki to heal? That way, you don't use the body's energy, a beneficial but exhausting method," Kami-Sama approached, using his long staff for support, although it was obvious that he didn't need it.

"It's no problem if I do it during the day and drink water when I'm done," Bulma replied, though she never took her eyes off her younger brother as she tried to repair the damage he had done to her.

"Looks like the Blutz Waves have been consumed," Brief said, returning to his motorcycle with a tablet in his hand.

He also tossed a capsule to the ground, revealing a suitcase that, when opened, revealed clothes of Goku's size, because they had already prepared for this eventuality and didn't want the little one to go home with a naked body.

"Don't worry, I'll help you with the clothes," Kami-Sama said before he put his hand near Goku's head.

Gohan and Bulma did not sense any malicious intent on the part of the old man, but unconsciously they were alert. Bulma was acting more on instinct than anything else, even though she knew that Kami-Sama was the bread of a god, well, more god than bread, but her concern for Goku made her act.

A glow emerged from Kami-Sama's palm, covering the sleeping Goku's body, and soon, custom-made clothes covered the boy. The sight shocked everyone, especially Doctor Brief, who was already thinking about the usefulness of creating something similar to what he had just seen.

"What was that?" Bulma asked knowingly, but the interest in such an ability was quite strong it was one of the things she wanted to learn when she knew that she would be reincarnated in this world.

"Magical materialization, some human magicians can do it after much practice, although it comes much more naturally to me," Kami-Sama explained kindly, the curiosity of children had always been a weakness of the god.

As a being made entirely of kindness, literally, Kami-Sama protected the helpless whenever the rules allowed, and sometimes came into contact with human children who asked him many questions, which he kindly answered.

"Magic? Magic? First, people who can destroy the surface of the planet with one attack and now magic, what else?" Brief was visibly uncomfortable with the idea that magic could exist, but when he thought about it, it made some sense.

He was a man of science, he could believe that a person was capable of great physical feats with certain methods, and when he learned about Ki and that everyone technically had access to exaggerated things like destroying mountains or the surface of a planet, he half believed it, especially since Gohan didn't hesitate to show him a lot of things.

But when he heard 'magic,' he instinctively thought of those charlatan wizards and witches who supposedly told your fortune, cast mystical curses, talked to spirits, and so on.

"Magic is no big deal, Doctor Brief, it's just a microscopic application of ki, while martial artists use macroscopic applications," Kami-Sama's explanation only made Brief grimace.

"Sure, quantum crap, that's always the excuse," Brief muttered, although everyone could hear him and it was obvious that the man did not bother to hide his thoughts.

"Dad, you saw me turn a flower into something more sentient, why is magic so hard to believe?" asked Bulma, who had finished drinking the entire contents of a special water bottle.

It wasn't just water, it was a nutrient solution she made herself to regain some of her lost strength, even if she had to metabolize sunlight in combination, it was better than nothing.

By the way, it seemed that the Brief family's intelligence points were almost all put into mechanics, with some more spread out in other areas, in Bulma, it would be biology and in Doctor Brief's genetics, they were not super geniuses in those areas, but they were much better than the others.

If we have to talk about the true genius in several fields at once, it would be Doctor Gero. Mechanics, biology, genetics, physics, and Kami-Sama knows how many other fields, this guy was the true genius of Dragon Ball.

"I guess this magic is different from the usual nonsense you see at fairs," Brief said reluctantly before he thought of something.

"Who are you?" the Doctor asked curiously, he was so absorbed in the previous topic that he didn't notice the presence of the green color.

"I am Kami-Sama," the answer had the usual effect on humans, but Doctor Brief stopped before saying anything else and looked down at the tablet he was holding.

'Of course, I am, Kami-Sama, what else, do demons exist too,' Brief thought as he distracted his mind with the data analyzed during Goku's transformation, some interesting things had happened and he wanted to find an answer to them.

"Anyway, why exactly are you here?" asked Gohan, who had left Goku on the ground at this point because he had already woken up.

"You're green!" just before Kami-Sama could answer, a groggy Goku, who had just woken up, blurted out the first thing that came to his mind.

"Goku, what did we talk about shouting out our differences?" asked Bulma with a 'nice' tone, but little Goku's tail bristled all over.

"I'm not supposed to shout them out, people get uncomfortable!" the boy replied automatically, something deep inside him had engraved those words intensely.

"Okay, now apologize," Bulma continued, making Goku blush with embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable," Goku apologized with a bow, making Kami-Sama chuckle audibly.

"Don't worry little one, you're not the first one to be surprised by my strange skin color, although seeing that there are so many animal people, humans are surprised by something as common as green skin," Kami-Sama replied kindly, not feeling uncomfortable at all, he seemed to be used to similar situations.

"To answer your question, I am here because I was curious about his family and the things that happened around them. I must say that at first, I thought the boy might be a danger, but he reminded me of some things from my past, so I preferred to wait and see how things developed.

You, Son Gohan, apprentice of Muten Roshi, who learned from Mutaito, have shown me that you are capable of guiding this child on the right path and preventing him from straying. Perhaps I should apologize for my earlier spying, but as a god of this world, I have the inherent right to 'observe'.

I saw them when they first met, when they learned of little Goku's true origin, and how they have lived since then. I must admit that I was afraid when I learned about the motives of the Galactic Patrolman, but you have shown me that a person is not evil because of his origin," Kami-Sama said, truly revealing his thoughts.

Unbeknownst to him, the new perspective he had on things would make things very different in the future. A certain person with an evil origin would be judged more critically by him, changing the outcome, but fortunately, for the better.

"Wow, it's good to know I'm doing things right," Gohan scratched the back of his head as he looked at little Goku, who was concentrating on not looking at the antennae on Kami-Sama's head.

"Ignoring the fact that it's a little creepy that you're spying on us, I guess you must watch out for the world," Bulma was more practical and answered directly what she was thinking, which made Kami-Sama a little nervous.

"I don't spy on people in their private moments, I'm a god, not a pervert. By the way, did Muten Roshi tell you about me?" asked Kami-Sama to Gohan, who felt.

"Yes, my master told me about the time of the enemy, about the Mafuba, and Karin and his tower. Although Roshi did not meet you directly, he learned about you from the Immortal Karin, he did not want us to mistake you for Piccolo," Gohan's words caught Brief's special attention.

"Piccolo, did that supposed Big Bad exist? I thought it was just the ramblings of my ancestors," the surprise in the Doctor's tone was more than evident.

Imagine that part of the family's books was suddenly just describing something as fanciful as a being that created demons and terrorized humanity. So did demons exist? Brief felt that he might be jumping to conclusions.

"Piccolo... that was a mistake I didn't foresee, fortunately, things are in order. But let's not talk about such sad things. I would like to say that I was quite fascinated by your techniques and the new genre of martial arts that you have created," Kami-Sama praised from the bottom of his heart.

He was truly impressed by all the imagination and usefulness, especially some of the techniques Bulma had come up with, even he felt that if one of them was completed, it would unleash terrifying power.

"I never expected that God would be fascinated by the creation of a mortal like me," Gohan looked a little proud at this point, he didn't expect such a situation.

"Grandpa has amazing techniques, but why do I feel like you used them against me?" asked Goku innocently, looking at his grandfather with his big curious eyes.

"Ahem, Goku, we'll talk about that later," Gohan started to play with his grandson's hair, trying to divert his attention.

"Grandpa, I don't remember much after I transformed, but I do remember a shield similar to yours," Goku continued, making Gohan more and more nervous.

"And also a sharp pain in my tail," this time Goku's attention was focused on Bulma, who also became a bit nervous as she was watched by the boy.

"Do you remember anything?" asked Brief, who was particularly interested in this situation.

"Sort of, a lot of things are fuzzy, like when I tasted that can of Grandpa's beer. Everything feels weird, I remember being angry, everything looked blurry and small," Goku tried to remember his vague impressions of transforming, something he wasn't supposed to experience.

"Maybe it's because we don't use natural waves? This could have made Goku's adaptability play a key role. Will it make a difference if he looks at the full moon? How fascinating," Brief muttered as he typed on his tablet, fascinated by the implications of this situation.

"But what we do know is that you should meditate even more," Gohan said, causing Goku to nod.

"Haven't you thought of just cutting off his tail?" asked Kami-Sama, causing Goku to jump in fright, his tail bristling.

"NO! It's my tail, I don't want to be like those tailless dogs!" Goku's shouts made Bulma burst out laughing.

"You will not be castrated, Goku, it was just a more radical suggestion," Gohan replied, but Goku began to shake his head as he held his brown tail in his arm.

"NO! NO I DON'T WANT TO!" The boy's obvious refusal made Kami-Sama nod.

"I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable. But if you want to master the wild power within you, meditation can only help so much, maybe I can help you with something more elaborate, what do you think?" asked Kami-Sama, making the boy calm down a bit.

"How would you do that?" Goku asked curiously.

"Have you thought that maybe this is not a transformation that you should master, but rather accept as a part of you? Understanding might be better than simply controlling by force," Kami-Sama's advice lit up the eyes of those present.

Worthy to be Kami-Sama!

"Would you like to see a reflection of the depths of your inner self?" asked Kami-Sama, and although his attention was on Goku, his question was obviously for all present.

"Sounds interesting," Bulma replied, wanting to see how far she could take this.
