"Zhou Yi!"
Seeing Zhou Yi suddenly appear before them, Tang Hao and Tang Xiao suppressed their fury with great effort.
After all, Zhou Yi was a prominent figure. If things escalated, Tang Yuehua's reputation would be ruined, and they would lose face along with her.
With dark expressions, they followed Zhou Yi into a quiet study room.
"Zhou Yi, you scoundrel! How dare you harm my sister! Take this!"
The moment they entered the study, Tang Hao exploded with rage, swinging his hammer without hesitation.
Clang!
Without even raising a hand, Zhou Yi's protective energy deflected Tang Hao's attack, sending him flying.
"Tang Hao, what's the meaning of this? If you have something to say, let's talk it out. At the very least, let me know what I've done wrong," Zhou Yi said innocently, his gaze calm as he looked at Tang Hao and Tang Xiao.
"Don't pretend to be clueless!" Tang Xiao barked angrily, though he refrained from attacking—he knew he couldn't match Zhou Yi and didn't want to humiliate himself.
"Yuehua's pregnant because of you! We trusted you, and this is how you repay us?"
Tang Hao got up from the ground, his expression stormy as he glared at Zhou Yi.
"What? Yuehua's pregnant?" Zhou Yi was genuinely surprised this time.
Although he had guessed this matter was related to Tang Yuehua, he hadn't expected her to actually be pregnant.
"Don't act like you didn't know. Are you really so shameless as to deny it now?" Tang Hao roared.
"You've misunderstood," Zhou Yi said, shaking his head calmly.
"I've already expressed my intention to marry Yuehua, but she refused and made me promise to keep it a secret. My hands were tied.
"Rest assured, I'll head to the Clear Sky Clan to propose marriage right away and make Yuehua my wife!"
Hearing this, Tang Hao and Tang Xiao's expressions softened slightly.
Still, the thought of Zhou Yi secretly getting their sister pregnant left them feeling indignant.
"Zhou Yi, while your explanation is reasonable, it's still unacceptable for Yuehua to become pregnant before marriage. Do you think you can bully our Clear Sky Clan just because you're strong?" Tang Xiao demanded.
"This matter has a long backstory," Zhou Yi sighed, his expression solemn.
"When Yuehua was in danger, I rescued her. You know how vulnerable she was back then—it's only natural that she developed feelings for her savior."
Tang Xiao and Tang Hao's faces darkened, their fists clenching tightly. The mention of that despicable flower thief enraged them. Yet, they didn't doubt Zhou Yi's words.
If Yuehua had truly been defiled by that scoundrel and Zhou Yi had saved her, her feelings were entirely understandable.
"In that moment, Yuehua came to me on her own. Could I have pushed her away?" Zhou Yi said in a melancholic tone.
"If I had rejected her, how would she have felt? Would she have thought I despised her for being defiled? Would she have been driven to despair and ended her own life?"
Tang Xiao and Tang Hao were silent.
They knew their sister's sensitive temperament. If Zhou Yi had rejected her, Yuehua might indeed have believed herself unworthy and taken drastic action.
"Honestly, Yuehua might have died if I hadn't acted," Zhou Yi added with righteous conviction.
"Afterward, I proposed to Yuehua, but she refused and insisted I keep it a secret from you both. Out of respect for her wishes, I complied and never let you find out."
"What would you have done in my place?" Zhou Yi asked.
Tang Xiao and Tang Hao remained quiet.
They couldn't fault Zhou Yi. Not only had he saved Yuehua, but he was also willing to accept her despite her traumatic experience.
As Yuehua's brothers, they understood her character well. Without Zhou Yi, Yuehua might have succumbed to despair long ago.
"As for Yuehua's pregnancy, that was intentional on my part," Zhou Yi admitted, his tone calm.
"I thought if Yuehua had a child, it might help her move past her trauma and accept a new life with me."
Tang Xiao and Tang Hao mulled over his words. Though his methods seemed unscrupulous, they couldn't deny that his reasoning was sound.
A child might indeed help Yuehua overcome her past and start afresh.
"Brother Zhou, we owe you an apology for wrongly accusing you," Tang Xiao and Tang Hao said, bowing their heads in shame.
"You're too kind," Zhou Yi said, helping them up.
"Rest assured, since Yuehua has revealed that I am the father of her child, it means she has accepted me and is willing to marry me. I'll prepare a proper dowry and visit the Clear Sky Clan to formally propose marriage!"
"Excellent!" Tang Xiao and Tang Hao beamed.
"We'll head back first to explain everything to Father and Grandfather," they offered.
"Thank you both," Zhou Yi said, seeing them off with a faint smile.
In the rear courtyard, Zhou Yi informed Liu Erlong and the others of his plan to marry Tang Yuehua.
Liu Erlong and the other women voiced no objections—they were long accustomed to Zhou Yi's expanding household.
Later that evening, Zhou Yi carried Ah Yin into the bedroom, determined to settle the score with Tang Hao for earlier daring to attack him with a hammer.
"W-What are you doing, husband…?" Ah Yin stammered.
"I'm hungry," Zhou Yi declared.
Meanwhile, Tang Hao, on his way back to the Clear Sky Clan, suddenly felt a pang of unease and inexplicable sadness.
"Grandfather!"
Tang Xiao's surprised voice rang out as Tang Hao looked up to see Tang Chen standing before them.
After failing to confront Zhou Yi at Sea God Island, Tang Chen had returned to the mainland, only to learn of the recent developments.
Upon hearing the details, Tang Chen sighed in resignation.
There was no longer any reason to find fault with Zhou Yi. Besides, he couldn't defeat him anyway.
Zhou Yi soon visited the Clear Sky Clan with a lavish dowry, including the "Solitary Yang Skill" and the "Golden Bell Shield Technique."
Tang Chen was pleased, and the wedding date was set for half a month later.
Elsewhere, Qian Xunji rejoiced, exclaiming, "My path is not solitary after all!"
