Douluo Dalu: Beginning with Signing in with Yan Lingji

Chapter 174: Chapter 171: They Are All My Wives

In Yan Lingji's room, she lay on the soft bed, her beautiful face showing a hint of fatigue. A black silk shawl draped over her body, revealing her long, graceful legs. Zhao Ming looked at Yan Lingji, a smile appearing on his face as he noticed her slightly tired expression.

His precious Yan Yan had become even more stunning. Her skin was smoother and more radiant.

Everything about her was perfect—where it should be curvaceous, it was, and there wasn't an ounce of excess. She was like a perfect work of art.

Such a beautiful girl was once beyond his wildest dreams, but now, she was his woman.

His, and his alone.

"Now I finally understand the meaning of the phrase 'From then on, the emperor neglected his morning court.' With such beauty in one's arms, who would want to get up?" Zhao Ming sighed. The warmth and softness were irresistible, a hero's true downfall.

"Pfft, you're so full of yourself." Yan Lingji slowly woke up. Hearing Zhao Ming's words, she gave him a playful look, her expression alluring.

Even before, Yan Lingji could be considered a rare beauty, but now, with the Phoenix bloodline, she exuded a noble aura. The combination of nobility and charm, two seemingly contradictory qualities, blended perfectly in her. Her noble presence made people hesitate to approach, while her seductive allure drew them in.

"My Yan Yan seems to have become even more beautiful. I like it so much," Zhao Ming said with a smile, gently brushing aside a few stray strands of hair on Yan Lingji's face.

"Really?" Yan Lingji flashed a radiant smile, recalling the power she had gained the previous day. She felt a surge of strength coursing through her body.

"Of course," Zhao Ming replied, smiling warmly.

"No matter how beautiful I am, I belong only to you," Yan Lingji said, her gaze affectionate, and a hint of playfulness glimmering in her eyes.

"Naturally." Zhao Ming grinned, lying on his side as he pulled her closer, holding her in his arms.

After holding her for a while, Yan Lingji softly whispered, "Enough cuddling. I need to get up. If I stay in bed too long, the others will tease me."

"Alright, it's time to get up," Zhao Ming chuckled, reluctantly letting her go.

Yan Lingji pulled the thin shawl around her body, covering herself modestly, leaving only her smooth, fair shoulders and arms exposed.

"Giggle, no peeking," she laughed as she turned and walked toward the dressing room.

"Am I that kind of person?" Zhao Ming shrugged.

"Well, I wouldn't be so sure. You're quite the flirt," Yan Lingji responded with a playful smile, closing the door behind her.

In the dressing room, Yan Lingji quickly changed into a deep purple dress. Standing in front of the mirror, she twirled, feeling satisfied. A woman always wants to look her best for the one she loves, and seeing the way Zhao Ming admired her made her heart swell with joy.

A moment later, Zhao Ming and Yan Lingji emerged from the room. In the main room, Yaya, Zi Ji, Bi Ji, and the others watched Yan Lingji with curious eyes.

They had felt the surge of energy and the changes in her bloodline in the room the day before. The powerful presence had left them in awe. Although Zhao Ming hadn't allowed them to enter, they were filled with curiosity. Now that Yan Lingji was out, they noticed the extraordinary aura she radiated, and they were astonished.

"Yan Yan, what happened to you?" Bi Ji asked, surprised. She could clearly see the transformation in Yan Lingji. Not only had her appearance and aura changed, but there was also an unfamiliar power emanating from her.

Yan Lingji smiled mysteriously, not saying a word. She raised her hand, and a golden flame appeared, enveloping her hand. From her back, a pair of gilded wings emerged, gently fluttering.

The powerful, noble, and mysterious aura filled the room.

"Is that a Phoenix?" Bi Ji and the others exclaimed in unison. Feeling the noble presence, they exchanged looks, disbelief written all over their faces. The Phoenix clan was a powerful beast clan, and the Phoenix bloodline within Yan Lingji seemed far superior to that of an ordinary phoenix.

"I've just inherited some Phoenix blood," Yan Lingji replied with a smile, retracting her wings.

Phoenix bloodline? The women couldn't help but glance at Zhao Ming. They knew it was Zhao Ming who had given this gift to her.

"Everyone will get their turn," Zhao Ming assured them with a smile as he led them to the table to sit.

Having so many wives could sometimes be a bit of a dilemma; finding a balance between them all was a challenging task.

But Zhao Ming found pleasure in this difficulty. The joy far outweighed the struggles.

"Bi Ji, it seems like business at Tianyi Pavilion is going well," Zhao Ming remarked as he tasted Bi Ji's cooking. He hadn't had her food in a long time and missed it. Although Xiao Wu's cooking was good, it couldn't quite compare to Bi Ji's culinary skills.

"It's all thanks to your great ideas. Otherwise, we wouldn't have such good business," Bi Ji said with a gentle smile.

Zhao Ming hadn't given them many complex strategies for the shop.

He had merely suggested that Bi Ji and the others host fashion shows and contests to choose the most beautiful lady. On the Douluo Continent, such things were novel and drew a lot of attention.

"If there's anything that needs doing, just let Wang Sheng and the others handle it. You don't need to work so hard," Zhao Ming said thoughtfully.

"Are you leaving soon?" Bi Ji asked softly, while the other women also looked up at Zhao Ming with expectant eyes.

"I just came to check on all of you. I'll be leaving shortly," Zhao Ming replied with a smile. "And soon, Zi Ji and I will be leaving Soto City for the Star Luo Empire. There are some things I need to take care of there."

"No way, I'm coming too," Tushan Yaya quickly objected when she heard his words.

"I'm not going there for leisure. Why would I bring you along? But once I've handled my business, I can call you all over to have some fun. After all, I can teleport you all at any time," Zhao Ming said, patting Yaya's head. He noticed that she seemed slightly different from before. Although she was still prideful, she didn't seem as cold as she used to be.

"Fine. But you better not lie to me," Yaya said, frowning slightly.

"Why would I lie to you?" Zhao Ming chuckled. "Once I've finished all the necessary work, I plan to find a scenic, peaceful place to settle down. Then, we can all be together every day. And you'll all have to give me some babies. I'm thinking, how many should we have?"

"In your dreams!" Yaya said, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, while the other women also blushed, glancing shyly at Zhao Ming.

"Hehe, sooner or later, you'll all be my wives. It's only natural that you'll have my children," Zhao Ming said shamelessly.

Hearing Zhao Ming's audacious statement, the women blushed with both shyness and annoyance. Yet, they didn't say anything.

In their hearts, Zhao Ming had long become the most important person in their lives, someone they couldn't imagine being without.
