As they reached the hallway, they could see from a distance, the hospital director and a few doctors dressed in white lab coats, all gathered around a man in a suit.
At this foreign private hospital, where appointments were necessary, there weren’t many patients.
This made the group of people standing in the lobby notably conspicuous.
In the midst of the crowd, admired by everyone around him, was a man.
His stature was tall and straight, even though surrounded by a group of relatively towering Europeans and Americans, he still stood out, strikingly handsome.
Naturally, Lily Gray noticed him.
Just as she was approaching the hospital’s lobby, her gaze fell on him.
David Redington, even amongst the bustling crowd, appeared elegant and distinguished.
A faint smile graced his face, the corners of his lips slightly tilted upwards as though he was paying genuine attention to someone’s explanation.
However, from his deep blue eyes, Lily could see his familiar indifferent demeanor.
That was exactly how David was – on the surface he appeared gentle and refined, but inside was an enigma which nobody could fathom.
Thinking about his relationship with Larry Scott, Lily gave an imperceptible smirk.
She did not want to meet David Redington in a foreign land.
Lily Gray was about to say her goodbyes to Dr. Rachel Geller and quietly exit through the side door when Dr. Geller standing next to her, excitedly grabbed her wrist and pointed towards David who was not far away.
“Look there, Alice (Lily’s English name), that’s the handsome man I was telling you about! What do you think? Isn’t he so attractive that it almost stops you in your tracks? He is perfect, a true godsend! He is the Group CEO, we don’t often get the chance to see him. Come Alice, let’s go over there for a better look!”
Having said that, Dr. Geller pulled Lily towards David.
Foreigners, after all, were generally more free and open-minded.
Dr. Geller admired David Redington, that was obvious.
With the mindset that every beautiful thing should be shared with others, she dragged Lily along and headed straight towards him.
Lily Gray had no inkling that the handsome man Dr. Geller was referring to was David Redington.
Moreover, if she had heard correctly, he was the young CEO of the group that owned this hospital.
Lily couldn’t help but sigh exasperatedly. What a coincidence that out of all the hospitals she had to choose the one owned by the Reddington Group.
Especially considering the deep-seated grudges she held against the Scott family which she still bore.
She remembered that her unknown aunt, Sylvia Scott, was the lady of the Reddington family.
If the Reddington family found out about her pregnancy, would they come after her and force her to abort the child?
After all, Larry did mention that Bella once subjected his sister to the bitter pain of parting from a loved one.
Now, she had already ‘separated’ from Ben, if she also lost the child she was carrying, it would indeed be the end!
Fearful, Lily immediately pulled her wrist out of Dr. Geller’s hand.
“Dr. Geller, I just remembered something urgent, I have to go now.”
Turning on her heel, Lily quickly headed towards the exit.
She kept her head down, not daring to turn back or even pause for a moment. If not for being mindful of her baby, she would have liked to run away.
“Hey, Alice… Alice…”
Dr. Geller was taken by surprise by Lily’s sudden departure, she could only call out loudly as Lily was quickly disappearing from sight.
The group of people not far away were drawn by her voice and all turned to look.
Amongst them, David Redington also cast a sideways glance at that moment.
His deep blue irises, swiftly glanced towards the direction the lobby doors were.
It was that one glance.
His deep pupils instantly contracted sharply.
