Dimensions Journey

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: The Martial Arts World

Liang Chen slowly regained consciousness, struggling to open his heavy eyelids. A faint pain coursed through his body, as if his soul had been torn away and then returned. As his eyes adjusted to the surrounding darkness, he realized he was in a narrow room with cracked walls and a low ceiling. Around him, a group of children, aged between five and eight, huddled together, their ragged clothes and pale faces reflecting fear and confusion.

He tried to speak, but his words came out garbled and incomprehensible. He quickly realized he did not understand the language of this world. A wave of isolation and anxiety washed over him—how could he communicate in this strange place?

Leaning against the cold wall, he closed his eyes, searching for a solution. Without conscious effort, he activated his Analysis ability. A familiar translucent blue screen appeared before him, invisible to others. He exhaled in relief, but the other children eyed him with suspicion, wondering why he was smiling in such a dire situation.

Focusing on the voices around him, he attempted to decipher the language. The screen displayed a language analysis process, progressing from 20% to 100%. A brief dizziness overcame him, as if his mind was being reshaped. Moments later, the words became clear in his mind, allowing him to understand this world's language by assimilating the memories stored in the body he now inhabited.

Taking a deep breath, he turned to the nearest child, a small boy with wide eyes. In a calm voice, he asked, "Where are we?"

The boy stared at him in surprise before replying in a trembling voice, "We are in the Ten Demon Sect. We were gathered from the streets to become Blood Warriors."

Liang Chen was taken aback. A world ruled by martial arts, where the strong could reshape mountains and rivers with a mere gesture. What surprised him even more was that the people of this world did not need to awaken innate abilities to grow powerful; strength was attained through training and perseverance.

He continued questioning the boy, "Does that mean anyone can become strong here?"

The boy nodded. "Yes, with the right training and determination, anyone can become a formidable warrior. The sect will teach us everything we need."

As Liang Chen pondered this revelation, the door suddenly swung open, and a rough voice commanded, "Get out now!"

The children, filled with fear, shuffled out of the room into a courtyard surrounded by towering walls. There, nearly a hundred other children, all in tattered clothes and with weary expressions, stood gathered. Liang Chen noticed dozens of masked men standing on the walls as guards. At the front, on an elevated platform, stood a man with a black beard and blood-red robes.

The man spoke in a booming voice, "I am Instructor Fang. From now on, you belong to the Ten Demon Sect. You will be trained to become Blood Warriors, qualified to protect the sect."

Some children trembled in terror, their eyes welling up with tears. Instructor Fang noticed and smirked coldly. "Do you think your lives on the streets were any better? Here, I offer you a chance to escape poverty and hunger."

The children exchanged uncertain glances, a flicker of hope appearing in some of their eyes. For many, this was the only opportunity to escape a life of misery.

Instructor Fang continued, "Your training begins immediately. You will be divided into groups. The training will consist of physical conditioning and learning basic combat techniques. Those who master them will advance to the Elite Class, where they will learn more advanced techniques and skills."

A mix of fear and determination stirred within Liang Chen. Despite everything he had endured, he realized that this was his chance to prove himself in this new world. At that moment, he resolved to give his all—not just to survive but to carve out a future worthy of him.

The children were ushered into their training groups, and the grueling regimen began. The days passed slowly, filled with relentless challenges and pain. Yet, Liang Chen persevered, using his Analysis ability to refine and enhance his techniques. He knew the path ahead was long, but he was ready to face whatever lay in store.
