Chapter 77: Chapter 77

Andrew who was about to snooze adjusted himself leaving room for his mother to have a seat on the couch. "Can you turn off the television?" She ordered to which he stood up and turned it off before seating back. "What is it that you wanted to tell me mom?" He asked. 'Is it something relating to Ashley?'he thought.

Lucy looked into Andrew's eyes to see his charming green eyes before realizing something was different about him. She didn't know what but she felt something different about the gaze casted on her but she dismissed it. "Look, Andrew, I'm glad that you have gotten out of your comfort zone to socialize with someone however..."

She paused,"I don't think that Ashley is the wisest decision you could make." She said hoping that he would understand. "Can you explain why? Maybe I would understand why you would say so." He said so. "Even though she may have appealing looks and a rich background, doesn't mean that she is perfect for you. I don't know why but just avoid her for now, okay." She warned. "If you say so however I think there is something special about her mom-"

"Andrew! I don't want to focus on this subject for long. Trust me and believe that she isn't fit for you, okay. You're smart so you should understand why. I don't want to keep on discussing this." She stood up from the couch. "Are we on the same page?" She asked to confirm.

"..."

There was no response from Andrew. Lucy looked at her son wondering why he was being so difficult. 'Or is it the fact that he is so blind that he isn't listening to me?' She mused but she wasn't leaving till she got her satisfactory response. "Are we clear Andrew?" She asked more firmly this time. "Even though I usually let you have your way,I can't agree with you on this one." He said though there was no rebellious attitude to his voice. It was as if he was saying something casual.

'Even though it seems impractical that I feel that there is something off about her, still I can't let my son drive himself to his own doom.' She thought. "I take it that you are tired so I expect a better answer tomorrow." She finally said before heading to her room.

*Click!*

She turned off the lights leaving Andrew all alone in the darkness. He laid back into the couch as he prepared himself to sleep, his head on some pillows with the rest covered in a cozy blue blanket with white flowery patterns of daffodils. "Boop!" He felt something prick his nose. He decided to ignore it. "Boop!" Certain that ignoring wouldn't solve it made him open his eyes to see Ashley whose eyes shimmered in the darkness.

There was some light coming from outside which would penetrate through the blinds barely illuminating the room with some of it bouncing off Ashley's eyes making them glisten in the darkness. "Do you have a reason for bothering me or do you take pleasure in my suffering?" He said jokingly. She sat on the red fur-like carpet in a M manner as she watched his movements.

"I thought that you'd go back on your words." She said as she had overheard the conversation. "Of course I wasn't lying, why would I lie to you?" He said justifying his claim. She put her palm on his face and the two looked at each other, absorbed and lost in their eyes. "Tommorow is still a day." He said taking the initiative to break the daze. "So go and rest up." Ashley seemed unbothered by what he said. "What about you mother?"

She said. "What about her? Don't tell me you're actually planning to do something despicable to her." She smiled. "I won't." Beaming in the dark making it look as if there was something more sinister at play. "Very well, I'll make you pay for your actions and terrorize you to my content." She said as she stood up. "Goodnight Andrew." She said looking at him lying on the couch. "Goodnight Ashley." He replied watching her leave.

...

With the sun's rays piercing through the window, Andrew was rudely assaulted awake by the morning rays. He wanted to keep on sleeping however he knew that his mother would only come to wake him up so he got up. Using Overwrite to get rid of that hazy sleeping feeling making him feeling refreshed and neatly folded the blanket as he took it to his room. Upon entry,he saw Ashley fast asleep in his bed however he dismissed her and went to his drawers

He quickly realized that something was off with how his clothes were arranged. Speaking of which, his luggage were at her place. What he found troubling was that his stuff seemed tampered with. 'I actually can't believe that she would do this but then again, it's Ashley.' He thought as he had the unfortunate task of rearranging everything to where it originally was. After he was done,he looked at her before exiting the room to run into his mother.

"Morning, mom." He said as he saw that his mother had a skeptical look on her face. "What were you doing?" Her first question. 'She wasn't this overbearing making her previous self before the restart much better.' "Hah." He gave a defeated sigh. "I was arranging my stuff as it would seem I left them in mess when I left for the retreat." He said however it looked like she didn't buy it. "Really, because the day after you left,I arranged everything in your room."

She said as she opened the door to find Ashley still asleep. She surveyed the room to find nothing out of place before leaving closing the door behind her. "Very well. Just don't do anything stupid Andrew." She said as she was about to leave. "Actually can you help me with something." He asked.

...

Ashley who was well contented with her sleep woke up to find some clothes laid out for her. "Try them on."A note written said by Andrew. She got up and initially refused to put them on for a couple of reasons. She went to the bathroom where she spruced herself up before going to the dinning table of four seats which on a regular was occupied by two. The atmosphere was kind of stiff with nobody making any form of conversation whatsoever.

Ashley darted her eyes back and forth as she m ate her breakfast which had been prepared for her in advance. 'Bacon and eggs with some rice pudding apparently. New and enticing.' She thought as she finished her plate. Andrew took the initiative to clear the table by taking the plates off the table and into the kitchen. With him gone, the two ladies who mattered in his life looked at each other with a strange apprehensive look to each other.

"It would seem that we may have started on the wrong page so I'll introduce myself, I'm Lucy Herman, Andrew's mother." She started off. Ashley looked at her with a callous look on her face. "Nice to meet you Miss Lucy,my name is Ashley Gravestone,Andrew's close friend." She said as she read Lucy's expressions. 'Tinge of disgust and hate.' She concluded.

'Lack of respect and any moral ethics as it would seem.' For Lucy. "Don't take this the wrong way but I simply want the best for my son,you see and I don't think that the two of you are compatible with each other." Lucy outright called it. There was something strange she found about this girl, not anything good. "Miss Lucy,I find Andrew to be a dashing fellow full of transparency and honesty. Not to mention he never breaks his promises." Ashley claimed.

The subject of the conversation was busy in the kitchen doing the dishes unaware of the heat happening in the other room. 'A possible crash out between the two. One psychopathic and selfish while the other over caring to lethal levels. It's honestly overbearing at this point.' "Now that isn't something nice to say about your mother,is it?" Hedonism spoke up in his mind.

He was wondering where these two monstrosities had flown off to. "To love me immensely,I understand and appreciate but to love me without understanding me,my brain considers it blatant stupidity. And even though I may be selfish with such a request." He concluded. "So you're implying that you would choose Ashley over your own biological mother, right?" Hedonism pointed out. "Hah! Look,I adore both but not on equal levels,so you know who I'd pick."

He said looking like a zombie as he did his chores and to his surprise,he was done. He rinsed his hands before wiping them dry and heading back to the table. Upon his arrival, the heated tension that was in the air became apparent but it suddenly came to an end as both ladies went quiet. "I'm off to work." Lucy said as she stood up.

She walked and passing Andrew, she whispered in his ear,"I want her gone by the time I get back." She then left taking a taxi in her sharp secretariat look. "I don't think your mother likes me that much." Ashley spoke. "Same with your father." Andrew shot back as he helped Ashley get out of her chair and the two crashed into the sofa.

"What did your mother tell you?" Ashley said as Andrew was scrolling through channels for something interesting. "That you should be gone by the time she gets back. It's 8am so nine hours." He said. "And do you want me to leave?" She asked as she stood up escaping his embrace. "What are you talking about, of course not!" He said looking at her and the channels.

"What am I going to do with you?" She pondered. "You have a mother and judging from your interaction with her,she fails to understand you. How have you been able to cope with her?'' She asked. "Silence is a powerful tool. Well at least to keep her lectures at bay." He said. "You mean submission." She corrected. "What a shame? Such a figure, suffering in silence. It's depressing and somehow comical."

"How is it comical? Oh! Right, you enjoy my suffering." He said flatly. "Yeah, you absolute yet misunderstood loser." She shot back. Andrew paused putting the remote to the side,he pulled Ashley close to him and with the two close to each other."Aah!" A soft moan escaped her mouth as Andrew started to grope her breasts. "But greedy and unscrupulous beneath." She added as the two shortly removed their clothes and succumbed to their carnal desires.

...

"It's almost noon. Are you hungry?" He asked. "Yeah, let's go out." She said as the two still lay indiscriminately on the sofa. The two each took a shower and after Andrew was done,he was forced to wait for Ashley because of a small overlooked problem. "You were actually serious about going out right, cause what is taking you so long?" He asked. "Can you come in here?" He was perplexed before he entered his room.

Before him was Ashley stripped naked to which he didn't hesitate to tease her as he played with her breasts. She was lost in her bliss as he intensified and the two shortly divulged in a romantic kiss. "I don't have any clothes to wear." She said breaking from the kiss. "Well..." He started off but she knew what he meant. "Come on Andrew,I can't wear that!"

She protested pointing at the clothes left for her. It was Lucy's clothing from her earlier days. "I think you'd look sexy in that." He joked looking at the white skirt which was bland and red shirt. Basically an outdated look unlike her dress which she had was more shic constituted of actual silk and other high end expenses. "There's beauty in simplicity, Ashley." He told her as he wrapped his arms around her.

"There should be a hood to cover it though if you'd like in my closet." He said as he walked to it to brandish an overly huge red hoodie, completely huge for her. She, against her liking was required to wear the clothes and the hoodie wrapping her up like a bow. She tried to hide underneath her cap but he ignored that as he caressed her face. "Cute, adorable and easy to fall for." He said as he took it off and pulled on her ponytail allowing her hair to fall freely reaching below her shoulders halfway her spine.

"Perfect." He praised locking into her eyes.
