Dimensional Chat Group: Speed-o'-Light

Chapter 20: 20: Tip-off

Compared to the Revolutionary Army, which was constantly under siege by the World Government and Navy and lived in constant danger, Kizaru, as an Admiral, had much more freedom to investigate whatever he wished.

With the Navy's branches spread across the four seas and the Grand Line, there were countless eyes and ears. It's rare for the Navy to want to investigate something and fail to uncover results.

"Marshal Sengoku is planning to publicly execute Fire Fist Ace at Marineford, in order to force the Whitebeard Pirates into a trap..."

Kizaru suddenly changed the subject.

Although Dragon was eager to find clues about Sabo's memory loss, he didn't interrupt Kizaru's words.

He just silently thought to himself. When he had chosen to leave the Navy, the old man had angrily taken Luffy back to Foosha Village.

If he remembered correctly, Fire Fist Ace was the old man's god-grandson. But why was Kizaru suddenly bringing up Ace?

Not to mention that Ace wasn't his godson, even if he were, Dragon wouldn't risk everything to save Ace.

From the moment he became the leader of the Revolutionary Army, his life and everything he had no longer belonged only to him.

"Fire Fist Ace's real surname isn't 'Portgas.' He's the illegitimate son of Pirate King Gol D. Roger, and also the sworn brother of Luffy and Sabo. If you tell Sabo about Ace, I think he should be able to remember their past."

Kizaru stroked his chin. Trying to get Dragon involved wasn't easy. Even if Luffy died on the battlefield, Dragon might not be willing to risk the Revolutionary Army getting severely damaged or even wiped out to participate in the War of the Best.

But if it were Sabo, the result could be very different. This might sound a bit cold.

But when it came to choosing between his biological son Luffy and Sabo, who could inherit the leadership of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon's decision was obvious.

Moreover, Ace's identity had so many layers that could be used to their advantage. Whether it was being the son of Pirate King Roger or the second division captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, Ace was far more than just the simple title of "Fire Fist Ace."

"Hmm, I understand. Thank you, Kizaru."

Dragon suddenly felt a sense of unease.

But with his personality, even if he suspected Kizaru's plan, he would likely still tell Sabo the truth.

On the other end, after just finishing a call with the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Kizaru dialed the phone of Rear Admiral Strawberry at Navy Headquarters.

"Ah, I'm really so busy. I'll have to make sure Sengoku promotes me after this... Well, forget the promotion, I'll settle for a raise."

Kizaru took the cold drink that the maid handed him and adjusted his position on the lounge chair, making himself more comfortable.

It took a while before Stoloveri finally answered the call.

The mood of this Rear Admiral seemed rather unpleasant, but anyone sent to recruit the Seven Warlords of the Sea would likely be in a bad mood.

"Admiral Kizaru! This is Stoloveri."

The den den mushi automatically mimicked the user's appearance. When Stoloveri's voice came through, the small head of the den den mushi popped out with a tall hat, and several bandages wrapped around its face, making it look as if it had been injured.

Not only did it look like Stoloveri had been hurt, but even his voice sounded hoarse.

"Ah, Stoloveri. How's the recruitment of the Seven Warlords going? The pirate called Bloodhand or Bloodfoot should be caught by now. I also stopped by Amazon Lily and recruited the Empress for you. How about the other five? How many have you managed to get?"

Kizaru lazily asked.

After Crocodile was defeated in Alabasta, he was expelled from the Seven Warlords, leaving only six remaining.

Sengoku had asked Kizaru to recruit at least four, which was already a fairly relaxed condition.

After all, this was a Navy Admiral personally handling the matter. Even if it came to using force, at least four Warlords could be captured.

But Kizaru wasn't exactly trying his best. If it were Akainu handling it, the War of the Best would probably not even be necessary. First, there'd be a Warlord purging mission.

"... I'll be able to get Mihawk soon. I won't delay any further!"

Stoloveri gritted his teeth and said loudly.

Dracule Mihawk's price for accepting the recruitment was to spar with him. Stoloveri had been desperately trying to either kill Hawkeye or get nearly killed by him in hellish training over the past few days.

Kizaru contemplated replacing Stoloveri with someone else, but among the Rear Admirals at the Navy Headquarters, there were very few who were better at swordsmanship than Stoloveri.

"Your efficiency is lacking. How about this? I'll help you recruit Kuma as well. With Hawkeye already in, you just need to recruit one more Warlord."

Kizaru sighed. Sengoku was really lucky to have a subordinate like him. Raise his salary! He definitely deserved a big raise!

"Ah? Yes! I will complete the mission, Admiral!"

Stoloveri couldn't believe it. The Admiral, who was notorious for slacking off, was actually showing such consideration for him.

If it weren't for their drastically different ideologies, Stoloveri, a hardline Navy officer who always took any means necessary to deal with pirates, might have considered switching allegiance to Kizaru.

"Good luck, I believe in you…"

Kizaru, satisfied, hung up the phone bug. Now he needed to tell Dracule Mihawk about this and have him coordinate with Kuma for the testimony.

This time, who could still say he was always slacking off? He had personally recruited two Warlords and even casually dealt with a notorious pirate with a bounty near 100 million Berries!

Although, in reality, he just had to talk a bit, and even the pursuit of a random pirate was handled by Marigold and Sandersonia. But the results were still impressive.

"Work and rest should be balanced, right? Let's see if anyone's up to some fun in the chat group…"

Kizaru took a sip of his cold drink, and his attention soon shifted to the dimensional chat group in his mind.

[Haibara Ai: @Random Guy, come out and make yourself useful!]

[Random Guy: Huh? Is there a new member? Could this one be another big shot? Fubuki? Such a simple name, it's hard to tell... Is she from One Punch Man, or maybe from the Ghost Blade series? Or perhaps a shipgirl? Could it be that swordswoman Fubuki?]

[Kobayashi: Sugoi! As expected from random guy-san… Do you know so many people with the same name?]

[Fubuki: Who are you people! How dare you try to use psychic powers to affect me without my permission!]

[Random Guy: Ah… I think I figured out who the new person is. She must be Blizzard of Hell Fubuki from the One Punch Man world, the top B-class hero. Her actual combat strength should be A-class. So, I guess she's a big shot…]

[Kobayashi: The top B-class hero? Sounds pretty impressive! Welcome Fubuki-san, I'm Kobayashi, just an ordinary office worker~]
