Destined to Be Yours

Chapter 13: The Secret Condition is Revealed!

The night sky seemed to pulse with an unsettling energy, the darkness mirroring the storm that raged within Meera's heart.

She stood in front of the full-length mirror, her hands trembling as she traced the image of Shourya's face in an old photograph. The image, once a symbol of love, now only reminded her of the cruel betrayal she had endured.

Tears threatened to spill from her eyes, but she pushed them down with all the strength she had left.

How could he? She thought bitterly, her mind replaying the cruel reality she'd recently discovered—Shourya was married, and not to her. To someone else. Someone she didn't even know.

Her breath hitched as anger coursed through her veins. How dare he betray me like this? She clenched her fists. I gave him everything... and he threw it all away.

With a sharp, furious breath, Meera wiped away the first tear that had finally escaped. Her voice, though quivering with rage, was full of resolve. "You thought you could replace me, Shourya?" she whispered to the empty room. "Well, you're wrong. I'll make sure you regret this. Vedha will pay for stealing you from me. She'll never have a peaceful day in her life again. I swear it."

She turned away from the mirror, her eyes glinting with cold determination. "If I can't have you, no one will."

Meanwhile, in the warmth of their bedroom, Adhitya and Saanvi shared a quiet, intimate moment. The soft glow of the bedside lamp illuminated the room, casting a gentle light as they lay side by side. Saanvi rested her head on Adhitya's chest, her fingers lightly tracing patterns on his skin.

"I never imagined life could be like this," Saanvi murmured, her voice filled with contentment. "We're married, Adhitya. It feels like a dream."

Adhitya smiled, his arms tightening around her. "And I'm so glad it's with you."

A moment passed, and Saanvi shifted slightly, her thoughts drifting to the tiny life growing inside her. She gently placed her hand on her belly, a soft smile gracing her lips. "I can't believe we're going to be parents. Four months already, and it still feels surreal."

Adhitya's heart swelled with love. He placed his hand over hers on her belly, his voice soft. "I think they'll be strong like you, Saanvi. You're my strength."

Saanvi smiled at his words, her heart fluttering with warmth. "I just want them to be happy, Adhitya. I want to give them the world."

A silence fell between them for a moment, but then Saanvi asked, "But... it's been so many days since the wedding. Why haven't you checked on Vedha? know she's your sister, but I just thought you'd want to make sure she's settling in well."

Adhitya's fingers paused in her hair, his gaze turning thoughtful. "I trust Shourya to take care of her. He's her husband now, Saanvi. I believe in him."

Saanvi frowned slightly, but her curiosity was piqued. "You trust him that much?"

Adhitya nodded with quiet confidence. "I do. Shourya is a man of his word. I know he's taking good care of Vedha."

Saanvi's eyes softened as she asked casually, "But... why did my brother marry your sister? He was in love with someone else, He was engaged to another woman."

Adhitya's expression darkened, and he sighed deeply. "Saanvi, there's something I've never told you about that."

Adhitya's voice grew more serious as he spoke. "It wasn't his choice. I made him marry her."

Saanvi's heart skipped a beat, the weight of his words sinking in. "You made him?"

Adhitya met her gaze, his voice steady but laced with regret. "Yes. I told Shourya that I would marry you only if he married my sister. It wasn't easy for him. But he sacrificed his happiness to protect you, to protect the reputation of Verma family."

Saanvi was stunned. She pulled away slightly, her eyes searching his face for any sign of deception. "You... you forced him to do that? To marry Vedha?"

You... you used my brother like that?" Her voice shook with a mix of sadness and fury. "All this time, I thought he was doing it out of his own choice, his own will. But you Adhitya! You forced him into this!"
