Still, I was keeping a close watch at Ella's breathing because let's be honest, she wasn't exactly out of shape—despite gaining a few pounds—and she was keeping up with her daily training, it was just that before I put her through this tough-ish workout, she was almost in tears from discovering that she gained weight just from accidentally stepping on my built-in scale on the floor.

And yeah, despite all her complaints, it might look like she was getting overworked but in reality, she just liked to freaking complain but she was following every work I said to the dot.

It's just that everyone else would just steal us glances because she was fucking noisy—but it was just us and our circle here—and everyone else was in the public gym.

In any case, after a good hour and then some, it didn't take long before each of us retreated for a hot shower and our post-workout session—which also involved a lot of cardio, and surprise, surprise, everyone still had some energy for it.

But yeah, we were just counting the days before some of us would say goodbye for the moment, but as we finally closed the night in each others' arms, I was woken up by Ella tugging me—not in a sexual way—because the Admiral had just returned her call.

I mouthed, "Now?"

Ella rolled her eyes, "No, tomorrow!"

With that said, we just untangled ourselves from everyone else and went up to the roof so everyone else could still catch on some sleep.

And as I picked up Ella's phone, Ella just nudged closer to me because of the wind before the Admiral's voice entered my ears:

['Sup, kid? Hopefully, I'm a grandfather by the time I get back—]

"Hah! Depends on when you come back though~"

[Hmph! You dare talk back to me now, huh?]

"Always had, and yeah—thanks for the 'Death Squad' you left to protect Ella, real~ nice of ya."

"I would've asked for the Eisenhower and have all of you sail back with a fishing boat?"

[Hah! Alright, I still want to save a bit of time talking to my daughter. So, what is it that you need to talk to me for?]

At that point, Ella spent a good 30 minutes talking to the Admiral— I mean, her father, Mr. Burke, while I just hugged her from behind because she was still feeling cold and we were only wearing thin clothing. It almost came to the point where she urged me to try something but I just decided against it because the Admiral just might send a nuke our way or prisoners they'd rather send elsewhere.

In any case, as soon as the father and daughter ended the call on a high note, that was when I carried her in my arms and proceeded to rail her in the 3rd floor's gym showers—and she took several creampies and explosive loads in all her little holes. Still, she was giggling like an idiot when we went down for some high-fiber cereal, and she didn't even care it tasted like cardboard or wet paper.

But yeah, I wasn't a devil in disguise so I still put a wallop of honey in her bowl so she could at least enjoy her pre-breakfast before everyone else woke up—though we were obviously missing another person and it was Ilana.

"I already miss her, you?" Ella said as she nudged me with her shoulder, drinking some milk from the bowl.

"Eh," I chuckled as I made my neck crack, "She's probably monitoring us right about now— I don't wanna say this in front of her but she's probably the biggest perv out of all of us—"

*bzzt* *bzzt*

And right on fucking cue, the "biggest perv" sent me a message and Ella just laughed with me once she saw that I was actually right. The message read as: "No, I'm not! Take that back! And good morning, jackass!" and seeing that, it just made us feel that she didn't really leave.

With that said, it didn't take long before the sun's rays hit our doorstep and we officially welcomed the new day upon us.

And before anyone asks, the reason I haven't tried to contact Commander Tachikawa yet was that before Ella ended her call with her dad, the Admiral needed at least a few hours or a day at most to introduce me to one of his colleagues properly, and if all goes well, I might just start looking for the perfect boat to get to Okinawa, Japan.

But as we were having breakfast, not only was Lawrence present but Royo and Joe who were supposedly in the DDR Camp's hospital were here to have breakfast with us—and Joe had some news to tell me.

"'Sup?"

Joe approached me while scratching the back of his head, "'Sup, dude— I mean, sir."

"How's your stay here?"

"Really great, actually— I almost decided to get transferred here but I really can't stay for too long. And now that I got my ears checked and had not only my shield made but also my earpiece for sleeping done, I'd have to go back—and that works pretty well since Sir Lawrence and I had the same destination."

I nodded in response, "I see— right, Tatiana is really enjoying the Principe, she said thanks!"

"She did, she did thank me too, many times. So this is it, huh? Sir?"

"Eh~ We'll still see each other plenty of times. Just don't go croakin' on me, alright?"

"Heh, I won't, sir. But yeah, I'm still pining for a rematch some time soon when I get used to my earpiece. Is that possible?"

"Of course, you'd still lose though?"
