The military, represented by John Keller, in addition to their anger, also carried a slight sense of surprise.

This unexpected situation within the S.W.O.R.D. , once confirmed, meant that the World Security Council would no longer show any leniency and would dismantle the S.W.O.R.D. Bureau completely.

At that point, Nick Fury wouldn't even have the chance to defend himself.

 The World Security Council would directly convict and punish him for crimes against humanity: aiding aliens in hiding their identities and allowing them to join a powerful international law enforcement agency.

Letting aliens judge humanity?

Considering the shape-shifting abilities of the Skrulls, the enemy could replace anyone around them at will.

If Anton hadn't pointed out the existence of the Skrulls, they would still have no way of knowing...

Isn't this blatant anti-humanity?

Even if Nick Fury managed to defend himself, the World Security Council would never trust him again. 

No one would dare rely on a subordinate who deceived his superiors and concealed such critical information.

This was certainly good news for the military.

Until now, S.H.I.E.L.D. had operated far from Washington's control, relying on the World Security Council's backing to act "recklessly" within the United States, which had long irritated the military.

Now, not only was S.H.I.E.L.D. being pushed out to Europe, but even S.W.O.R.D., operating under S.H.I.E.L.D., faced the risk of being dismantled. 

With Nick Fury already halfway into prison, what could be better news for the military?

Naturally, John Keller was overjoyed and did not forget Anton's contribution.

The Men in Black had just been established, and Anton had only recently taken charge, yet he had already stirred up such an explosive incident. 

This undoubtedly pleased the American faction that had initially supported Anton as the leader of the Men in Black.

Thinking of this, Keller immediately called Anton.

"It looks like you've received the report," Anton said with a smile. "So, feeling a little creeped out? There's always the possibility that someone close to you could be a Skrull in disguise."

"Please, don't say that. I'm already on edge," Keller replied seriously. "Anton, are you certain about the authenticity of this information? You know that if this is true, the World Security Council won't spare Nick Fury. No one likes a disobedient subordinate who acts on their own."

Although Keller believed the information was true, he still wanted confirmation from Anton.

"Of course," Anton nodded, knowing exactly what Keller wanted to hear. "This intel came from Batman. While investigating S.H.I.E.L.D., he stumbled upon information about S.W.O.R.D.… And with you electing me as the head of the Men in Black, the timing couldn't be better."

"That's reassuring," Keller said. "Nick Fury is doomed this time... By the way, regarding the Skrulls' abilities—if they can truly become any one of us, can you detect them?"

"It's difficult," Anton replied. "Skrulls can alter their appearance at will, perfectly mimicking another person, including their memories. It's almost impossible to detect them. However, I remember that S.H.I.E.L.D. once had a Skrull corpse back in the last century..."

"You want to obtain the corpse to develop a way to counter them?" Keller asked, suddenly realizing Anton's plan.

"Exactly," Anton confirmed. "The Justice League has the best research team in the world. Reed Richards's scientific capabilities are on par with Tony Stark's. Bruce Banner was once part of your military, and you know more about him than I do. Then there's Dr. Curt Connors, also known as the Lizard. If you can help me acquire that Skrull corpse and bring it to the Men in Black headquarters, I can definitely provide you with a solution."

"It is good," Keller nodded. "I'll take care of this. I'll contact the U.S. representative of the World Security Council and have them retrieve the Skrull corpse and deliver it to the Men in Black organization."

"By the way," Anton added, "if the World Council plans to deal with S.W.O.R.D., it may not be that simple. If you need help, feel free to contact me anytime. As the head of the Men in Black, I'm happy to assist."

"Don't worry, I won't hesitate to reach out," Keller replied before hanging up.

The cooperation between the military and Anton had always been relatively smooth. Although both sides had their own hidden agendas, their overall goals were consistently aligned.

Keller felt quite reassured by Anton's guarantee.

Beep.

A smile appeared on Anton's face as he heard the busy tone from the other end of the call. He knew that the S.W.O.R.D. Bureau's time was up.

There was no need for him to add fuel to the fire—simply informing the military and the World Security Council of the current situation was enough. Those two would handle the dismantling of S.W.O.R.D. themselves.

No one could trust an alien with shape-shifting abilities, capable of replacing anyone at any time, especially when hidden within their own organization.

The current S.W.O.R.D. Bureau was entirely different from the one that emerged after the final battle in the original plot.

This version was still a subsidiary of S.H.I.E.L.D., with less authority and capability than its future counterpart.

Once the World Security Council recognized the threat and decided to take action against S.W.O.R.D., Nick Fury would have little room to maneuver.

The only real threat left would be the Skrulls, especially those with shape-shifting abilities powerful enough to launch a counterattack.

Anton remembered that among the Skrulls, the strongest "Super-Skrull" could even replicate the abilities of those they imitated.

In other words, if a Super-Skrull transformed into the Thing from the Fantastic Four, they would also gain the Thing's immense strength and invulnerability.

If such a Super-Skrull existed in this world, the consequences would be terrifying.

Although the Super-Skrull wasn't part of the movie universe yet, Anton had seen Marvel's plans for its cinematic universe through various short videos and news updates.

Secret Invasion had already been put on the agenda, indicating that some elements from the comics would definitely appear in the films.

Super-Skrulls might already exist.

It was even possible that some superheroes had already been replaced.

"Nick Fury, all of this is the result of your arrogance. You have no one to blame but yourself," Anton sneered as he put down his phone.

On the other side, the World Security Council held an emergency meeting.

The report from the Men in Black organization was presented to all participating nations.

This time, not only the five permanent members but also representatives from other countries were forced to attend due to the shocking nature of the intelligence in the report.

"In the last century, during the Kree invasion, there were indeed reports that S.H.I.E.L.D. had recovered an alien corpse," the U.S. representative said. "That corpse was sealed after research. If there's no mistake, the alien in question is the Skrull we are discussing today."
