DC Heroes in Marvel

Chapter 143: C131(2)

Wild boar and rhino sprinted at speeds beyond the limits of the human body. The ground beneath their feet shook and cracked with each of their thunderous steps.

Immediately after, the two collided head-on with Hawkeye in the most ferocious manner.

Boom!

Hawkeye flew through the air, like a ragdoll no one wanted, crashing into a wall behind him and leaving a large hole. He landed hard on the road. At that moment, a dozen black cars approached him.

Chi Chi Chi Chi!

The sound of screeching brakes filled the air as black tire marks were left on the ground.

Hawkeye's eyes widened in surprise.

Natasha opened the car door, stepped out, and glanced at Hawkeye lying on the ground.

"I'll pretend I didn't see that," she said casually.

As she spoke, her colleagues, who had gotten out of the car, averted their gazes.

"Ahem!"

Hawkeye realized how embarrassing this situation had become.

"The enemy is tough!" he muttered through clenched teeth.

Boom!

The rhino and wild boar broke through the hole in the wall that Hawkeye had created earlier and stepped onto the sidewalk, snorting two puffs of white gas from their massive nostrils.

"Uh, yeah... they're really not easy!" Natasha said, stunned.

She never expected Hawkeye's comment to be this accurate.

It seemed that New York had turned into a zoo. Bats, spiders, turtles, lizards, octopuses... and according to detailed S.H.I.E.L.D. investigations, even unidentified mutant mice.

Now, there were two more animals: a rhino and a wild boar.

How did all these people end up becoming animals? Is the Mutation Stream really so popular in this era?

A whirlwind of thoughts flashed through Natasha's mind before she quickly regained her focus and waved at her colleagues.

"Move quickly!" she ordered, her tone serious. "Our time is running out."

"Understood!"

TCRI Laboratory Building.

Inside, highest level.

Eddie was hidden in a small corner, observing everything unfold. He was also amazed by the appearance of the rhino and the boar.

However, it wasn't yet time for him to act.

Eddie, having had a detailed discussion with Anton, knew the overall plan. Anton was confident that S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't be able to handle the foot clan.

With the help of the alien Krang, the Rhino and Boar alone would be more than enough to create havoc for S.H.I.E.L.D., especially when the technodrome began to appear from pieces into a whole and continuously entered Earth's atmosphere.

The reason Eddie was so calm was because this was all part of Anton's plan.

At that moment, Cyborg monitored the entire New York network, communicating with Eddie through a Bluetooth headset.

"I've connected to the central database of the war fortress," Cyborg said. "Once the technodrome is fully on Earth, I'll be able to take control from the alien Krang."

"Don't act rashly," Cyborg warned. "Let S.H.I.E.L.D. handle the foot clan first. Once they're worn out, that's our best chance to strike. We'll let all of New York—and the world—know about the existence of the Justice League."

"Don't worry, I'm more reliable than Phil," Eddie replied, patting his chest.

It is worth mentioning that Anton did not hide everything that happened in Brazil from Eddie.

Although Eddie disagrees with Cyborg's "kill or be killed" approach but he chose to let it be, especially since Cyborg's actions were aimed at rescuing Phil... don't forget, Phil is Eddie's apprentice.

Eddie chose to accept the facts.

After all, the killer was Cyborg, not Batman, and it had nothing to do with Anton. Moreover, from the perspective of his own camp, Cyborg was justified.

Of course, Anton didn't mind whether Eddie liked Cyborg. As comrades-in-arms, personality differences were not the key—what mattered was that they could follow orders and cooperate effectively.

"Eddie, this is Anton."

Suddenly, Anton's voice came through Eddie's Bluetooth headset.

"Eddie, receiving!"

"Now, leave the TCRI experimental building immediately. Cyborg monitoring shows that Tony Stark has entered New York and is heading toward your location," Anton said. "Tony's AI assistant, Jarvis, is connecting to TCRI's network and may detect your position. You've done enough. Don't handle it from here. Leave the war to us."

"Understood!" Eddie replied with a nod.

The next moment, Venom stretched out its tentacles from behind Eddie, shot through a half-open window, and leaped nearly two hundred meters in the air.

Huh!

As Eddie fell, his face remained expressionless, almost enjoying the descent. At the critical moment, a tentacle shot out like a bullet, latching onto the roof of a nearby building, much like Spider-Man's web, and pulling Eddie up.

Quickly, Eddie disappeared from the area.

Huh!

A few minutes after Eddie left, a red shadow streaked through the sky, arriving near the building.

"Foot clan members, leader Shredder, female ninja Karai... the founder of teleportation technology, Dr. Baxter Stockman, they are all inside the building."

Jarvis's voice echoed in Tony's armor.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are attacking the building, but a rhino and a wild boar are blocking their way."

"Rhino? Wild boar?" Tony was taken aback. Seeing Jarvis's footage on the virtual screen in front of him, his mouth twitched.

He too felt the absurdity of "New York Zoo" in his mind.

Rumble!

At that moment, at the center of the vortex above his head, the parts of the technodrome that had passed through the gate of time and space drifted around him.

"Is this an alien?" Tony muttered, surprised but also understanding the gravity of the situation.

An alien invasion!

This was a global event waiting to happen!

The terrifying events caused by supervillains like the Green Goblin, Lizard, and Doctor Octopus were nothing compared to this.

Alien invasion was a whole new level of threat.

"Try to access the alien network!" Tony commanded. Seeing what appeared to be a network terminal on one of the parts, he squinted and told Jarvis, "Decrypt the information... I want to know what the hell this is!"

A series of messages appeared before his eyes.

"Technodrome!" Tony murmured, his expression growing more solemn. "Technodrome, the super warship of aliens, and the commander is called Krang..."

Ringing!

While pondering, he received a call request from the Fury.

"Tony, what's the situation on your side?"

After the connection, Fury asked in a deep voice: "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s offensive is being hindered. You must close the space gate of as soon as possible."

"I know," Tony replied, then ended the call.

Under Jarvis's monitoring, he knew that most of the parts of the technodrome had entered Earth, and the preliminary assembly was almost complete. Time was running out, and it couldn't be delayed any longer.

Whoosh!

The jet of air behind him propelled him forward.

He turned into a meteor falling from the sky, rushing into the floor below, where Shredder was.

Boom!

But just as Tony was about to reach the floor, an energy ray fell from the sky and hit him instantly.

"Damn it!" Tony's face changed slightly.

The armor on his body lost power, and he plummeted nearly two hundred meters.

Everyone in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Bureau below watched in panic, expressions full of nervousness. They feared that a powerful ally had just been knocked out of the fight.

Fortunately, Tony stabilized his body, and when he was about to make contact with the ground, he shot back into the sky. This time, his goal was the technodrome that was almost fully assembled.

Jarvis informed him that all parts of the technodrome had crossed the space portal and arrived on Earth.

At this point, turning off the teleportation device would have no effect. The key now was the aliens controlling the technodrome.

"Krang!" Tony murmured as he rushed toward the round technodrome under the watchful eyes of everyone.

At the same time, the alien krang, hiding inside the robot he had created, saw Iron Man's approach and laughed disdainfully.

Boom!

An energy shell struck Tony, blasting him out of the technodrome.

The sight shocked not only the citizens of New York but also the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents watching the scene. They felt powerless, even desperate.

"Batman!"

"Where is Batman?"

The citizens of New York suddenly remembered the man with the flying cloak and pointed ears. Speaking of which, Batman hadn't officially appeared since the Green Goblin incident! The latest news was about Cyborg, Iron Man, and Arrow.

Where was Batman?

Would he appear in this time of crisis?
