DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 191: Chapter 191 Harry Returns!

From various perspectives, Anton is undoubtedly a celebrity.

If Anton popularity could be quantified with a specific fan value, it would at least surpass 8 million fans, making him a renowned figure.

His face has undoubtedly entered the vision of many and is registered in various places.

Hammer Industries, with its well-connected information network, naturally did not miss the chance to collect data on Anton.

After all, the most prominent figure of the past year, Batman, is closely associated with Anton.

To understand Batman, the person one cannot afford to overlook is Anton.

Especially over a long period in the past, many believed Anton himself to be Batman. Now, his role as Batman spokesperson is widely recognized.

Justin Hammer, of course, recognized Anton.

"It me."

Anton answered calmly, "I'm the one who found you, but I'm not the one who will judge you."

Justin frowned, about to speak, when the sound of footsteps reached his ears.

Tap, tap, tap, tap!

Turning his head, he saw a man even more familiar appear in his line of sight.

This man was none other than the Commissioner of the NYPD, George Stacy.

"So, it you..."

Justin Hammer took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and then exhaled, opening them again. The trace of hope in his eyes was gone.

"That right. I asked Batman to find you and bring you back. Now, you can't escape anymore, Mr. Hammer."

George said coldly,

"Soon, I will announce this news to the public on behalf of the NYPD. The 'kidnapped' Justin Hammer, Chairman of Hammer Industries, turns out to have orchestrated his own kidnapping.

I assure you, Mr. Hammer, your company and your reputation will be utterly destroyed."

"You will regret this."

Justin replied, "Bringing me down won't do you any good."

"No."

Anton couldn't help but interject, laughing,

"Bringing you down is actually very beneficial to us.

Justice in New York City will be upheld, and the NYPD will clear the false accusations you brought upon them.

Likewise, Hammer Industries will lose a significant number of orders, and the military won't risk their reputation backing you anymore.

At that point, the open market share will be the best reward for us."

"Anton Jamison!"

Justin gritted his teeth.

With his sharp mind and the tidbits of rumors he had gathered earlier, he quickly pieced together what Anton was implying.

He glared at Anton, his eyes full of hatred, and growled,

"Even if Hammer Industries collapses, Oscorp won't let you win easily! Your Wayne Enterprises is nothing but garbage!"

"But if your company is about to be replaced by garbage, doesn't that mean Hammer Industries is even worse than garbage?" Anton shrugged.

"Justin, stop trying to sow discord. I can assure you, Oscorp won't compete with us. Harry Osborn will come to us, actively seeking cooperation."

"Because of Batman…"

Justin froze, a realization dawning on him, followed by a look of utter defeat.

He knew he had lost completely.

"Yes."

Anton nodded. "Because of Batman."

With that, he stood up and looked at George. "He all yours now."

"No problem," George replied. "Please convey my thanks to Batman."

"Perhaps you should thank demon instead."

"demon?"

"A formal member of the Justice League. Today was his first time appearing in public view.

If you mention his name during the upcoming police press conference, I think it would make him very happy."

"Understood. In addition to Batman, I'll also thank demon."

As they spoke, Anton left the Continental Hotel.

"See that Anton is escorted out," Winston, who had been silent until now, instructed the black concierge in an obsequious tone.

The black concierge dutifully followed the order and stepped out.

And so, inside the Continental Hotel, only Justin, Winston, and George remained.

"Mr. Winston, I must thank the Continental Hotel for its assistance this time,"

George said as he cuffed Justin, instructing the officers outside to take him away. Then he turned to Winston and added thoughtfully,

"This was a good collaboration. I hope I won't see you again at a crime scene, in prison, or in court."

"I'm a law-abiding citizen and a friend of Batman," Winston replied with a grin.

Winston shrugged, paying no attention to George warning and, in fact, looking quite pleased.

From George attitude, he could tell that, for Batman sake, there was already a willingness to "let things slide" when it came to him and his Continental Hotel.

George, in truth, didn't care much about Winston or his hotel.

While the NYPD officially maintained order in New York, the underground world also operated under its own set of rules.

The Continental Hotel acting as the "NYPD" of the underground world was, in a way, something George welcomed.

At the very least, Winston was far more reasonable than Kingpin.

Moreover, with Batman keeping an eye on the Continental Hotel, it was unlikely to engage in anything too out of line.

George dismissed these thoughts and returned to the police department.

He immediately held a press conference to announce the capture of Justin Hammer.

This news, however, didn't cause much of a sensation.

An hour earlier, a battle in the Manhattan dock area had already drawn significant attention from the news media.

The newly emerged superhero affiliated with the Justice League, demon, had revealed quite a bit of useful information during his interaction with the enemy.

At the press conference hosted by George, the media focused more on asking questions about the Justice League.

After a brief series of questions and answers, someone finally brought up Justin Hammer.

"I want to clarify something here," George said, standing at the podium, his expression serious, speaking slowly and deliberately.

"Justin Hammer was not kidnapped. This was a scheme orchestrated by himself to evade police pursuit…"

Before he could finish, the audience broke into murmurs of surprise.

"Does the NYPD have evidence?"

"We certainly have evidence. The task force just arrested Justin accomplice, a man named Flint Marko, a mutant.

I'm sure you all witnessed the battle at the Manhattan docks earlier."

"What crime has Justin Hammer committed, Commissioner Stacy? Can you elaborate?"

"It not convenient to disclose that for now," George replied.

"However, the NYPD wants to extend its sincere thanks to the Justice League for their assistance, especially the new superhero who identifies himself as demon.

Many of you have likely already seen him—the one riding a flying glider and wearing a cape!"

The Daily Bugle.

Anton sat in his chair, watching the NYPD press conference on TV, a smile curling at the corners of his lips.

"Phil, have you figured out how to write tomorrow article?"

He turned to look at his subordinate, who was still glowing from his recent moment in the spotlight, unable to hide the grin on his face.

"Eddie said he not going to ghostwrite for you. You'll have to handle your own work."

"Of course," Phil nodded enthusiastically and chuckled. "demon is going to be the rising star of New York superhero scene!"

"Keep it up," Anton said, before leaving DC Enterprises and heading to Wayne Enterprises, also located in Manhattan, where the old man was in charge.

"Anton, you're finally here… Harry been waiting for quite a while."

In the office, the old man expression remained unchanged as he glanced at the man standing before him.

Anton walked into the office, slowly approaching the two men in front of him, focusing on the familiar face of the person who had been waiting for him.

"Harry, I didn't expect you to arrive so quickly."

He extended his hand. "Apologies, I was caught up watching the news and lost track of time!"

"No problem," Harry replied with a smile, shaking Anton hand.

"I watched the news too. I'm glad we share a common interest—it always a pleasure to see Hammer Industries go down!"
