Days as a Spiritual Mentor in American Comics

Chapter 4173: Chapter 3128: What Exactly is the Plot of the Review? (Part 2)

Batman's words had just fallen when everyone fell silent for a moment. The agent asked, "So, you're saying the setting of the former villagers of Faralines worshipping Dagon above the lighthouse was something you added?"

"Yes, but I only set up that they were conducting some religious rites related to strange events. They gained something and paid a price. However, I didn't specify what exactly because I don't know what Gods there might be in this world."

"Chosen One Theory." Arrogant said, "You set this village to be a place that was inherently different from the rest."

"Yes, because I think that only makes sense," Batman nodded and said, "I know there must be more than one player, and if everyone edits their background story, not everyone would set themselves as a local, and there needs to be a reason for so many outsiders to gather here."

"Although you would give yourselves various motives, in such a plot leaning towards the uncanny, fatalism and Chosen One Theory make more sense."

"It's not a coincidence that you all happened to gather here, but rather because this place itself is extraordinary, and that's what attracted you here."

"Look at him," Transcendent said, "Batman is the only one who thought about the plausibility of the overall plot, while all of you just want to give me trouble!"

"Wait a second," the agent suddenly reacted and said, "So it's not a coincidence that Dagon contacted you, nor is it due to the Psychoanalysis Method, but it was actually because of your own setting."

Everyone looked towards Batman.

Batman nodded and said, "Right, since I'm not too clear about the God setting in the Game World but didn't want to miss out on this part of the resources, I set myself up as assisting Doug in investigating the truth behind the strange events, and came into contact with some uncanny knowledge through this."

"Exactly," Transcendent said, "Batman didn't specify what this knowledge was, but my setting is that what Doug pursued was related to the line of sea disasters."

Then everyone looked towards the agent, because almost all the clues about the two sea disasters were investigated by the agent, including Sailor Pike's diary and what happened on Jeff's ship.

"I seem to have some clues too," Bruce suddenly spoke up, and when everyone's gaze shifted to him, he said, "After I went to Sigeltek, I conducted an investigation using the internet and found that no complete information about the three Ghost Ships at the dock was available on the ordinary internet."

"But I did find out about the theft at the National History Museum of Spain, where exactly the information about those three ships was lost."

"Those three ships were from the first sea disaster, the same ships Pike the sailor was on," the agent said, "So it must have been that the Church concealed the truth about the first sea disaster, and Detective Doug may have come across information related to these three ships."

"And through my contact with Doug, I learned the forbidden information related to these three ships," Batman thought for a while and then said, "So the instigator of the first sea disaster was Dagon? Is it because I came into contact with the ship's information that I could communicate with Dagon?"

"It's not impossible," the agent said, "The instigators behind the first and the second sea disaster may not be the same God, because after all, the book 'Water God Ketayat' not only documents the methods of contacting Dagon but also mentions the Cthulhu Knight Otum, and the later appearance of Ipo Zettel is also included."

"Anyone who has read this book might summon any of them; it's not surprising, nor is it necessarily the same spell that caused the two sea disasters that the sailors saw. It's more likely that one saw Dagon and the other saw Otum. While the nature of the sea disasters is similar, the Gods who descend are different."

"If I knew the Gods in this world were like this, I wouldn't have made such a design." Batman sighed and shook his head, "I really didn't expect that my setting would make me a target of the Evil God."

"That's not an Evil God, just an Old Day Dominator," Brand interjected, "Although most of them are ignorant fools, the Game World has weakened their powers and even given them the ability to communicate; actually, they're not so understanding."

Batman raised an eyebrow and looked towards Brand, "So you're the most understanding among them?"

"Yes, a con artist," Bruce spoke out.

Brand didn't argue with him about this; he just said, "If you inadvertently came into contact with this knowledge while helping Doug, then when you find yourself in trouble, it's very likely you might contact them, because the knowledge itself is their form of existence. As long as you realize this connection is unavoidable and lifelong."

"Thanks for reminding me not to deal with you," Batman said.

"Is there anything else?" Greed turned his head to look at him and asked.

Batman looked at him and said, "I'm not greedy, I thought it was enough to just make good connections with the main characters, but I didn't expect..."

"Didn't expect that the main character would die right at the start," Greed laughed again and said, "But you heard the introduction at the beginning, he was already dying, you don't think this is some sort of cliché western movie beginning, where the hero is dying but not dead yet and the Protagonist appears to save the day?"

"Actually, that's how it was supposed to be," Transcendent looked at Greed grievously and said, "You all stood by doing nothing, and Doug could have lived a little longer. If any of you had used a healing skill, he might not have had to die."
