Chapter 124: The End of the Tournament
The air in the arena was thick with tension as Vegeta faced off against Hit, Universe 6's enigmatic assassin. Vegeta's golden Super Saiyan Blue aura flared, while Hit remained eerily calm, his hands tucked into his pockets.
The gong sounded, and Vegeta wasted no time, launching a furious assault. His punches and kicks were precise, his speed unparalleled. But every strike missed. Hit moved as though he wasn't even trying, dodging each attack with an uncanny ease.
"What the hell are you doing?" Vegeta snarled, throwing a massive punch.
Hit's expression didn't change. He simply stepped aside, landing a precise strike to Vegeta's ribs. The Saiyan Prince stumbled, his eyes wide with shock.
"What was that?" Vegeta growled, clutching his side.
"It's called a Time Skip," Hit said, his voice calm. "I can move forward in time by a fraction of a second."
Vegeta charged again, this time faster and with more aggression. But the result was the same. Hit's strikes were surgical, landing blows that seemed impossible to dodge or block.
From the sidelines, Bell's eyes narrowed. He observed Hit's movements closely, analyzing the Time Skip. "Vegeta!" Bell called out, his voice cutting through the noise. "Stop relying on your eyes! Use your instincts! Feel where he'll be, not where he is!"
Vegeta gritted his teeth, but he took Bell's advice. Closing his eyes briefly, he allowed his battle-hardened instincts to take over. When Hit used his Time Skip again, Vegeta reacted—countering with a powerful kick that grazed Hit's shoulder.
The crowd gasped as Hit staggered slightly, his stoic expression faltering for a split second.
"So, you can adapt," Hit said, adjusting his stance. "Impressive."
The battle raged on, with Vegeta landing more blows, but the prolonged fight took its toll. After three grueling battles, his stamina was drained. Hit delivered a devastating punch to Vegeta's stomach, sending him crashing to the arena floor.
"Damn it..." Vegeta muttered, struggling to stand. He glanced back at Goku, extending his hand for a high five. "It's your turn, Kakarot. Don't screw it up."
Goku grinned, slapping Vegeta's hand as he stepped into the ring.
Months earlier, Bell and the Saiyans had gathered around the Dragon Balls on Earth. With a booming voice, Shenron was summoned.
"State your wish," the dragon demanded.
Goku stepped forward, scratching the back of his head. "Can you give us our tails back?"
The dragon's eyes glowed as the wish was granted. In an instant, the Saiyans felt a surge of primal energy coursing through them. Their tails had returned.
Over the following weeks, the Saiyans trained relentlessly to master their Oozaru forms and tap into the power of Super Saiyan 4. Bell, having already experimented with his Legendary Super Saiyan forms, pushed the boundaries further by combining his transformations. The result was astonishing.
Bell's LSSJ4+B form was a sight to behold: a cyan-silvery white fur covered his body, with hints of green blending into the blue. His aura was a fusion of MUI's elegance and the raw, destructive energy of a Destroyer. The sheer power of this form made quantifying levels meaningless.
Goku followed suit, mastering his Super Saiyan 4 form and then infusing it with God Ki. The result was SSJ4G, a transformation that retained the primal strength of SSJ4 while elevating it to divine levels. Bell had guided him every step of the way.
"Man, this is insane!" Goku had said, punching the air and causing shockwaves. "I can't wait to try this out in a real fight!"
Back in the present, Goku stood across from Hit, his grin as wide as ever. "I've been waiting for a fight like this," he said, cracking his knuckles.
Hit remained composed. "Your confidence will be your downfall."
Goku powered up, his aura turning crimson as he transformed into Super Saiyan 4. The crowd murmured in awe, and even Beerus and Champa leaned forward in their seats.
The battle began with Goku testing the waters. He moved quickly, dodging Hit's Time Skips and landing a few light blows. But Hit adapted, using his ability to strike critical points with pinpoint accuracy.
"This guy's tough," Goku muttered, wiping blood from his lip. "Guess I'll have to step it up."
He powered up further, his fur glowing brighter as he transitioned into SSJ4G. The divine aura mixed with his primal power, creating a stunning visual display.
Vados, observing from the sidelines, glanced at Bell. "Did you teach him this?"
Bell smirked, responding telepathically. "I've been with him since he was in his twenties. What did you expect?"
In his new form, Goku began to turn the tide. His speed and power overwhelmed Hit, who was forced to use his Time Skip more frequently. But Goku wasn't just relying on raw power. He was beginning to use his nascent Ultra Instinct, dodging Hit's strikes with ease.
"You're adapting quickly," Hit said, his tone laced with respect. "But it won't be enough."
Goku smirked. "Wanna bet?"
In a final clash, Goku poured all his energy into a devastating Kamehameha, timing it perfectly to counter Hit's Time Skip. The explosion sent shockwaves through the arena, and when the dust settled, Hit was lying outside the ring.
"The winner is Goku of Universe 7!" Vados announced.
As Goku returned to the bench, the Universe 7 team erupted in cheers. Beerus smirked, crossing his arms. "Well done, Saiyans. You've proven your worth."
Meanwhile, Champa was fuming, yelling at his team for their failures. "You're all useless! I can't believe I lost to those clowns!"
Bell chuckled, exchanging a knowing glance with Vados. "Looks like we've got bragging rights now."
With the tournament over, the team gathered to decide their wish. But for now, they basked in their hard-earned victory, ready to face whatever challenges the multiverse would throw at them next.
