Chapter 119: Champa of Universe 6
The return to Beerus' World was marked by an unspoken determination among the group. The recent battle against Sorbet had underscored the fragility of Earth's defenses and the lurking dangers in the universe. Even minor threats, with the right power, could jeopardize everything they had fought to protect.
Whis wasted no time increasing the intensity of their training. The peaceful aura of Beerus' world was disrupted by the explosive clashes of sparring matches, ki blasts ripping through the air, and the ground trembling under the weight of their newfound power.
Bell, now having achieved mastery over his Legendary Super Saiyan Blue (LSSJB) form, had pushed himself further by combining it with Kaio-Ken, an exponential enhancement of his already titanic strength. The sheer pressure of his aura in this state made even Beerus uneasy.
The God of Destruction, lounging nearby, grumbled, "Whis, I give up. Bell's an anomaly. Not even I can compete with that monster anymore."
Whis smiled gently. "As I told you, Lord Beerus, Bell's potential is not bound by conventional limits. He operates beyond our understanding. Still, he is one of your greatest assets—perhaps the greatest."
Bell overheard their conversation and smirked. "Don't worry, Beerus. I'll keep my power under control… unless you decide to steal my food."
Beerus scowled. "Don't test me, mortal!"
One day, in the midst of their training, a strange, overwhelming presence washed over the planet. The fighters stopped in their tracks, their senses on high alert.
"That energy…" Goku said, his voice tinged with excitement. "It's strong! And it feels… different!"
Without hesitation, the group rushed toward the source. Bell, as the fastest among them, was the first to arrive.
He landed near a smoking crater and spotted a strange sight—a rotund figure resembling Beerus climbing out, panting heavily. Standing beside him, poised and serene, was a tall blue-skinned woman with a calm smile.
Bell extended a hand to help the figure out of the crater. "Hey there. You okay?"
The rotund figure slapped Bell's hand away, his pride evidently bruised. "I don't need your help!" he snapped, straightening up.
The blue-skinned woman stepped forward, offering a graceful wave. "Greetings. My name is Vados, and this is my charge, Lord Champa, the God of Destruction for Universe 6."
Bell raised an eyebrow. "Another God of Destruction? What brings you to Universe 7?"
Vados smiled serenely. "We're here for the Super Dragon Balls. I trust you've heard of them?"
Before Bell could respond, Beerus and Whis arrived, the former looking irritable.
"Champa! What are you doing here?" Beerus barked.
Champa smirked. "Nice to see you too, brother. We're just passing through, searching for the Super Dragon Balls. Don't get your tail in a twist."
The mention of the Dragon Balls quickly escalated into a heated argument between the two deities. Insults were hurled, and the tension in the air thickened.
"Enough!" Vados said sharply, her voice cutting through the chaos. "Remember, battles between Destroyers are strictly forbidden. Your squabbles could lead to unnecessary destruction."
Whis chimed in, his tone light. "Perhaps we could settle this with a friendly competition instead?"
Both Beerus and Champa narrowed their eyes. "What kind of competition?" they asked in unison.
"A tournament," Whis proposed. "Five warriors from each universe. The winning team gets the Super Dragon Balls."
After a brief deliberation, both gods reluctantly agreed. "Fine," Champa said. "Prepare your team, Beerus. We'll meet when you're ready."
With that, Champa and Vados departed, leaving the Universe 7 warriors to prepare for the challenge ahead.
Bell, Goku, and Vegeta were natural choices for the team. With their strength and experience, they were the backbone of Universe 7's lineup. However, two more slots remained to be filled.
"I think we should bring Linger and Goten as Gotlinger," Goku suggested.
"Good idea," Vegeta said. "Their fusion is strong, and their unpredictability could give us an edge."
Before they could decide on the final member, Bell spoke up. "Hold on. I sense another Saiyan in this universe. Give me a moment; I'll bring him here."
Without waiting for a response, Bell vanished using Instant Transmission.
Bell materialized on the desolate planet of Vampa. The landscape was harsh and unforgiving, but his attention was drawn to a pair of figures. One was a tall, muscular Saiyan with a shy demeanor—Broly. The other, an older man with a stern expression, was Paragus.
Bell approached them calmly, offering a friendly smile. "Hi there. My name's Bell. I'm putting together a team for a tournament, and I'd like you to join us."
Paragus immediately grew defensive. "What's the catch? Why should we trust you?"
Bell raised a hand in a placating gesture. "No catch. I just think Broly has a lot of potential. But…" His gaze shifted to the shock collar on Broly's neck. "That needs to go."
With a flick of his finger, Bell destroyed the collar. Paragus protested, but Bell silenced him with a casual energy beam to the head, knocking him out cold.
Broly's aura flared in rage, and he lunged at Bell, transforming into the Legendary Super Saiyan.
Bell, intrigued but unfazed, met Broly's onslaught with ease. After a brief but intense clash, Bell subdued Broly and explained that Paragus wasn't dead, just unconscious.
Broly apologized, his anger subsiding, and agreed to join the team. Bell assured him that life with the group would be more fulfilling than the isolation of Vampa.
With Broly now part of the team and Gotlinger confirmed as the fifth member, the group returned to Beerus' world.
The training resumed with even greater intensity. Broly adapted quickly to his new environment, his power growing under Bell's guidance. Gotlinger refined their fusion techniques, ensuring they could maintain their form for longer periods.
As the tournament approached, the warriors of Universe 7 stood united, their resolve unshakable. The challenge ahead was daunting, but they were ready to face whatever Universe 6 had in store.
