Chapter 423 - 31 - Who wrote it?
Zou Chen chuckled softly as he drove back. He had seen the chair's in that class and they were not Adult size. "He must have gotten stuck, hahaha. Beats him for writing shit about me,"
As he glanced at the diary lying on the front seat, he couldn't shake off the feeling of intrigue. What other secrets might be hidden within its pages? With a shrug, he reached out and flipped it open, eager to uncover more about the mysterious author's thoughts.
To his surprise, the latest entry was dated today, sparking a cascade of questions in his mind. "When did he write this?" Zou Chen wondered aloud, his brow furrowing in confusion. He vividly remembered confiscating the diary from Skyy the previous night, leaving him puzzled as to how the entry had materialized.
A sly grin spread across his face as a mischievous thought struck him. "Did he sneak into my room just to write this about me?" he mused, shaking his head in amused disbelief. The idea of Skyy going to such lengths to vent his frustrations only added to Zou Chen's amusement.
With a chuckle, he turned his attention back to the diary, eager to delve deeper into its contents. As he read through the scathing words directed at him, Zou Chen couldn't help but admire Skyy's audacity. Despite his initial assumptions, it seemed that there was more to Skyy than met the eye—a realization that only served to pique Zou Chen's interest further.
"He is like a mystery box... I need to explore more about him." Humming Chen drove through the empty road. But his thoughts were abruptly interrupted when a shadow darted in front of his car.
"Who the hell..." Chen muttered, slamming on the brakes. His fists clenched, ready for confrontation, until he recognized the figure in front of him.
"Uncle Qian? What in the world are you doing?" Chen's voice was a mixture of relief and annoyance as he peered out of the window.
Uncle Qian, panting heavily, leaned against the car door. "Give me... a second... good you're here..." He managed between breaths.
Chen quickly rolled down the window and opened the door, allowing his uncle to slump into the passenger seat. "What's going on? Why did you jump in front of my car like that?"
Uncle Qian gulped down the water Chen handed him, his breathing slowly returning to normal. "Your new friend... has some powerful connections," he said between sips. "He can actually cure Prisitsky."
Zou Chen's heart raced as he listened to his uncle's words, his mind struggling to process the implications of what he had just heard. "Cure Prisitsky?" he repeated incredulously, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Uncle Qian nodded gravely, his expression somber. "Yes, it's true. This friend of yours, he's no ordinary individual. He has the knowledge and resources to combat Prisitsky's effects."
Zou Chen's mind raced as he tried to make sense of the situation. Prisitsky was a deadly disease that had plagued humanity for generations, its origins shrouded in mystery and its cure seemingly out of reach. The mere mention of someone being able to cure it was nothing short of miraculous.
"And he wants to meet Skyy?" Zou Chen asked, his voice tinged with urgency. The thought of Skyy receiving the treatment he so desperately needed filled him with a sense of hope that he hadn't felt in a long time.
Uncle Qian nodded, his expression grim. "Yes, but he needs to ensure Skyy's safety first. Is he okay? Is he alive?"
Zou Chen's grimaced as he remembered the events of that morning . "He's... he's alive," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "he's in a good place right now."
Uncle qian just gave him the stink eye, "that's what people say when someone is dead! Oh my god is he dead? Did you kill him. CHEN!! You are in so much trouble. Hary is going to assassinate you.."
"Whoa, chill uncle Q. That guy is in a kindergarten. I admit I might have bullied him a bit. But I would hurt someone innocent. What did you think of me huh?"
Qian let out a deep sigh. "Alivee.. good. Bring him here right now. Go!" He jumped out of the car and ran into the hospital opposite them.
Chen grunted. "He really has good friends. It must be that Kyle guy he always mumbles about, " he muttered under his breath as he turned the car.
kindergarten was closeby so he did not lock the car as he walked in. Cheerful laughter filled the small room. From the window he spotted skyy sitting next to a small pug tailed girl. She would often gaze up at him and blush.
"Tsk he is seducing kids now. Bringing him here was a mistake," he knocked on the door loudly.
The loud class fell silent lookinghis way.
"Skyy come. We're going home," he gestured to him to follow.
"No, I want to write a few more alphabets. Plus class is not over," skyy mumbled pouting softly.
Chen raised a brow. "Your friend wants to meet you,"
Skyy rolled his eyes, " youre a bad liar Chen,"
Chen could not handle his sass any longer. He walked up to him ready to throw him over his shoulders of he refused one more time. But something caught his eyes.
On the wide open notebook on skyys desk were ugly crooked L and I's.
"Whar is this?"
"Alphabets dummy," skyy proudly showed off his letters. "I mastered two in a day. Aren't I awesome~"
Chen plucked the book from him and peered at it intently. "You really can't write?"
"Yeah I told you last night. I only know how to read. That too was because of a kind prototype woman. She later got matched with a guy, got pregnant and passed," he let out a sigh.
Chen intently peered at thar guts face checking to see if he was telling the truth. Skyy's words seemed genuine.
'If skyy didn't write it, them who did?!'
