The Safara Kingdom had returned to its radiant, almost blinding beauty the next day. The skies were crystal clear, and magical creatures flitted about, singing their ethereal melodies.

Yet, beneath the shimmering surface, unease flowed like a serpent in the hearts of its inhabitants.

The prophesied child had been born.

The entire kingdom was awake. No vampire, No vampire child, no animal, no creature, no pet dared to close their eyes, not even the moon, which hung stubbornly in the sky, refusing to retreat before the rising sun, as it could still be seen at the other end of the sky... they didn't have a brink of sleep.

It was said in the ancient texts that those who slept on the same day the Crimson Child was born would be bound to him, compelled to care for the forbidden prince until their last breath.

A forbidden truth that haunted every mind.

They don't want to raise a forbidden child especially one that's red and black, they don't know his characteristics, if he's as dangerous and supernatural as fortold...

Fear cloaked the kingdom like a suffocating fog. The streets lay barren, and doors were bolted shut. Families huddled together, children muffling their sobs as whispers of the cursed birth spread like wildfire.

They kept their children inside, the kingdom streets was as empty as a dessert no one dared to come out..

Because they were all afraid

No news about what happened in the castle, people in the castle could be dead from all they knew..

Even the castle, a symbol of power and grace, was steeped in an uneasy silence.

Amist all these anxiety and chaos, Azrath slept well.. snoring infact..

But no vampire could enter the birthroom Azrath was laid in

Why?

Because it was locked with a magical seal, even the best vampires in the whole kingdom couldn't open the seal...

Within the sealed birth chamber, he lay atop his mother's lifeless body, playfully tugging at her crimson-stained gown. He thought she was merely sleeping, unaware of the tragedy his birth had wrought.

~•~

It was now Afternoon and Azrath had woken up and was just wondering around in the sealed room with it's little legs playing with his mother lifeless body in which he still thought was just sleeping....

The vampires still couldn't open the door and they weren't aware of what was going on in the room so they decided to tell the King whom wasn't aware that his son had been given birth to.

In the throne room, The King Dravok backed the door and paced furiously, he awaited the news of the delivery, his black and red royal cloak sweeping across the polished floors.

The Blood Crown rested heavily on his head, forged from the crystallized essence of countless lives, which was actual blood of humans. His features, sharp and regal, betrayed no emotion but impatience.

Two trusted soldiers, Commander Kael and General Ryven, stood at the base of the dais, their heads bowed low. They had dreaded this moment, knowing the king's temper was as sharp as the blade at his side.

"Your Majesty," one of the soldiers finally spoke, his voice trembling, "the prince has been born."

The king turned around with fiery upon hearing their voices

'Why are you informing me now?!, where have you been since yesterday?!"

The soldiers immediately knelt down still bowing

"Your majesty, we weren't aware, all the mid wives present with the queen ran away from the room and wouldn't speak up, we were only informed this morning your majesty"

The king walked closer to him and they bowed even more

"You dare to give an excuse?!, you had me awake all night!!" The king angrily turned around to face his trusted soldiers who also had their heads down.

Dravok turned to Commander Kael, his eyes narrowing. "Slice their heads!, cut their fangs,.Feed their blood to the people!"" The king ordered

With fear all the soldiers present there immediately fell to the floor and begged

"Your majesty please don't kill us!"

Kael hesitated, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. "Your Majesty," he began, kneeling beside General Ryven, "please spare them. They have families. I swear they will face punishment, but I beg your mercy. Let them live on your warning, great king. May the greatest vampire live long."

Ryven joined Kael and also fell on his knees, their voices united in plea. "May the greatest vampire live long."

"May his greatest vampire live long" the doomed soldiers repeated and echoed.

The king went to the throne and sat down...

The king's expression darkened, his jaw tightening. With a dismissive wave, he barked, "Get out of my sight!"

The soldiers scrambled to their feet, bowing repeatedly. But before leaving, one turned back, his voice hesitant. "Your Majesty, we have a news to relay to you..."

Dravok froze. "Speak!"

"Your majesty " one soldier spoke..

"Did anything happen to the Queen.... The prince?!"

"We don't know your majesty, the birthroom had been locked with a magic we can't falter, None of us can break it, not even the strongest among us." another said

"."

Dravok's patience wore thin. "Then bring him here at once!"

The king's face twisted in disbelief. "You're the top best Vampires and you can't open it?!"

"Y-yes your majesty" one said

"What do we do then?!, Don't you have a solution?"

"Your majesty we have an idea, there may be a way. There's a prophet who held his highness and said some words, the prophet Eryndor was present at the prince's birth, he may have answers, maybe we should get him"

"Do you know where he is?!"

"He still in the castle your majesty"

Dravok's patience wore thin. "Then what are you waiting for!?!, Bring him here at once!""

"There's a problem your majesty"

"WHAT IS IT?!"

"the prophet requestes that no one comes to see him"

"Are you defying me?! I won't repeat myself"

"Yes your majesty"

They all hurried and went to fetch the he prophet, the king again paced around waiting impatiently.

~•~

Prophet Eryndor whom was also scared about what unfolded yesterday was presented before the king as he knelt down before the king, his robes brushing the ground.

"May the greatest vampire live long!" he intoned solemnly.

"Rise," Dravok commanded, his piercing gaze fixed on the aged seer.

Eryndor obeyed, his face pale and drawn.

The king stood up from his throne and moved close to the prophet.

"Are you aware of what happened to the birthroom?" The king questioned

"No your majesty I'm not aware I've been in the chamber and I requested that no one comes to see me" the prophet answered

"In that case, my son and wife are trapped in that room, I don't know what kind of sorcery that is but I want them out can you do that?" The king said stably

"Your majesty, the sorcery is no mere one, nor one done by witches, nor by any foe or any one else " the prophet said

The king's brow furrowed. "Be clear, Prophet. What are you saying?"

"Your Majesty, your son I mean his highness is not a normal vampire like all of us neither is he part of the Royal Alpha blood vampire"

Dravok's voice sharpened with worry. "Is he just a mere vampire?!, A powerless abomination?!" He king asked worriedly

Eryndor shook his head. "No, Your Majesty." He said calmly

"THEN WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?! SPEAK!, STOP WASTING MY TIME!" The king shouted.

"I'm sorry your majesty" the prophet bowed

"Just talk!" The king exclaimed

"He's the Crimson Child, The Red Prince of Eternity" the prophet said slowly

"What?!, the prophecies are real?! Are you perhaps mistaken?" The king exclaimed.

The words hung heavy in the air, the weight of prophecy crashing down like a tidal wave.

"The prophecies are true?" Dravok saud again but this time whispered, his voice tinged with fear.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I saw it with my own eyes. The prince floated in mid air moments after birth and opened it's eyes immediately, his cries mingled with laughter. Yoor majesty "

"The prophecies said he will be red and black at birth, did that happen?" The king asked.

"Yes you majesty, he is indeed red and black, and it was also said that on his birth night the moon will be red like crimson and the night will rain acids in storms, they bore witness to it's arrival"

"Yes, yesterday was really stormy, I didn't know it was acid, because I was here waiting in this throne room all night"

"Sorry your majest-" the prophet was interrupted

The king staggered back, his composure slipping. "And the birth sacrifice?, the birth sacrifice? Did that also happen?" he asked, his voice barely audible.

Eryndor bowed his head. "A life for a life, Your Majesty. The queen's soul is bound to the prince, as was foretold."

Dravok collapsed to his knees, a guttural cry escaping his lips. "No! Her soul, trapped in that cursed boy?!"

"I am sorry, Your Majesty," Eryndor said softly. "The prophecy calls it the Crimson Curse for a reason. Should anyone attempt to harm the prince, they will be cursed, tormented for eternity. If it's possible because he'll live forever he's the prince of eternity, I don't know his weaknesses, And even if they try... he is immortal. He will live forever."

Dravok's fists clenched, his nails digging into his palms. "He is a curse upon my kingdom. A curse upon my family!"

Eryndor hesitated. "Your Majesty... the prophecy holds more truths, but I fear they will not bring you peace."

"Speak them," Dravok growled, his voice trembling with rage and despair.

The prophet stepped closer, his voice low. "The Crimson Prince is both salvation and destruction. He will bring ruin to those who defy him and rebirth to those who embrace him. The choice, Your Majesty, is yours to make."

The king's eyes burned with fury, but deep within, a flicker of fear took root.

Your majesty I know the book of his weaknesses but It's sealed with a power I can't fathom, I don't know what will open it. I'm afraid we can't kill him"

"Then take me to that room open it I want to see my wife"

"We'll have to first break the power that sealed the door"

"Go on break it, do something"

"Yes your majesty I shall do it" prophet Eryndor bowed and walked to the birthroom while he king and his trusted soldiers followed closely behind him...
