Finally... Yes, finally! I was overflowing with happiness. "Dua, I can't even begin to express how ecstatic I am today!" I exclaimed to my best friend, my voice trembling with excitement.
"I know, Irha, I know!" Dua's eyes sparkled with shared joy. "We did it! We finally made it!" Her words resonated with the same exhilaration I felt.
"Yes, Dua, we did it!" I echoed, my voice breaking into a laugh. "You know how much we've struggled and how hard we've worked for this day."
Dua's expression softened, a knowing smile spreading across her face. "Yes, I remember every late night, every sacrifice. But let's leave all that behind now. It's time to celebrate! Let's get ready to go... Yesssss!" She shouted, her enthusiasm contagious.
Laughing, we hurried out the door, ready for a shopping spree.
"Dua, what are we going to get?" I asked as we entered the bustling store. "I'm thinking of buying everything!"
She chuckled, her laughter light and carefree. "Go without clothes, then," she teased, her eyes dancing with mischief.
"Stop laughing so much!" I nudged her playfully.
"Okay, okay," she said, still giggling. "We do need some proper clothes. We have to look our best, after all."
"Right," I nodded. We browsed through racks of clothes, picking out outfits that would make us feel confident and stylish.
After a whirlwind of shopping bags and laughter, we headed to a cozy little café. The aroma of freshly baked pastries and brewed coffee welcomed us as we stepped inside.
"What would you like to eat, Dua?" I asked, already knowing the answer but eager to hear her say it.
"Is that even a question?" she grinned. "Noodles, of course! You know it's my favorite forever."
I laughed, feeling a warmth spread through me. "Alright, noodles it is. I'll get it for you. You grab a seat."
As I walked back with our food, noodles for her and pasta for me, I couldn't help but smile at how content we were. We ate, savoring the moment, our conversation flowing effortlessly between bites.
When we finished, it was time to head home. The day had been perfect, a prelude to the incredible journey that awaited us.
As we walked out, Dua turned to me, a mock-serious expression on her face. "Oh, please, Irha, don't be late tomorrow. We need to get to the airport early! You always make me late," she added, her voice laced with playful admonishment.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I won't be late tomorrow. Promise!" I replied, laughing.
"Remember, if we miss the flight, the company won't give us another ticket," she warned, her eyes twinkling.
"I'll keep that in mind," I assured her, my heart fluttering with anticipation.
