Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Reborn as the Armored Razorback Wyrm, Bonding with the Bloodviolet Divine Sword
Yulan Continent, Mountain Range of Magical Beasts.
In the eastern region of the Misty Valley, an unremarkable cave entrance lay hidden.
From within, an overwhelming concentration of elemental energy surged forth. Outside the cave, lesser dragons hovered, greedily absorbing the rich essence of the world.
Deep inside the cave, a massive ten-meter-long Armored Razorback Wyrm rested within a spacious chamber.
The elemental density here was a hundred times greater than the outside world, with darkness element being the most dominant.
The Armored Razorback Wyrm slowly opened its eyes. For three months, it had been tirelessly cultivating, yet its progress remained stagnant.
"As expected of the most difficult dragon species to advance to Saint-level. I still cannot grasp the natural force of the world."
The Armored Razorback Wyrm let out a sigh.
Three months ago, Sadius had transmigrated into the world of Coiling Dragon, awakening in the Yulan Continent as the very same Ninth-Level magical beast that, in the original story, was defeated and used to help Linley awaken his Dragonblood Warrior lineage.
The original Sadius had suffered injuries after fighting the Ninth-Level Violet Tattooed Bear for control of this cave, which contained an elementally rich environment a hundred times greater than the outside world.
Now, a soul from another world had inexplicably taken over this Armored Razorback Wyrm's body.
After three months of rigorous cultivation, his soul had completely fused with his new body, and his spiritual strength had fully reached the level of a Ninth-Level magical beast.
However, despite countless attempts, he still could not grasp the natural force of the world.
In the original story, Sadius had cultivated within this very cave for three hundred years, yet he never managed to reach Saint-level.
Ultimately, when the Violet Tattooed Bear broke through to the Saint realm, it came back to finish the fight, resulting in both of them perishing. Their deaths conveniently benefited Linley, who had just reached the Seventh-Level as a Magus at the time.
Sadius had no intention of repeating that fate.
However, due to the bloodline limitations of his Armored Razorback Wyrm body, breaking through to Saint-level was nearly impossible.
He had considered leaving the cave altogether. After all, no matter how long he cultivated here, if he couldn't break through, he would inevitably be hunted down by the Violet Patterned Black Bear three hundred years later—once again benefiting Linley.
But the Magical Beast Mountain Range was far too dangerous.
Despite being a Ninth-Level magical beast aligned with darkness, there were plenty of Saint-level magical beasts roaming the mountains.
Not to mention, human Saint-level powerhouses would often venture into the mountains for training. If he encountered one, he would either end up as a dragon core inside their interspatial ring or be forced into a soul-binding master-servant contract, losing his freedom forever.
For now, staying in the cave was the safest option.
However, this wasn't simply due to fear—there was an opportunity here.
Sadius' sharp eyes locked onto the ceiling of the cave.
Hidden above, embedded in the rocky layers, was an ancient magical formation—a weak point in the seal of a Planar Prison.
The dense elemental energy flooding the Misty Valley was actually an overflow from this formation.
That wasn't the crucial part. The true treasure lay at the formation's core—a single embedded sword.
That sword was a powerful High-Level Deity artifact, once wielded by a Seven-Star Bloodviolet Fiend of the Infernal Realm.
The original Sadius would have had no idea of this sword's existence.
But as a transmigrator who had read Coiling Dragon, Sadius knew all too well what lay hidden here—the Bloodviolet Divine Sword.
And this sword was his key to changing his fate.
The sword contained a remnant of the Bloodviolet Fiend's immense killing intent—an invaluable aid in comprehending the Laws.
However, the sword served as the core of the magical formation sealing the Planar Prison. If he removed it, a Deity-level powerhouse might escape.
And as a mere Ninth-Level magical beast, Sadius was no match for a Deity.
Therefore, he wouldn't be reckless enough to pull the sword from its place.
However, simply forming a blood bond with it wouldn't interfere with the seal. By establishing a connection, he could tap into its stored killing intent, accelerating his comprehension of the Laws.
With that, he might even be able to bypass his bloodline restrictions and forcefully ascend to the Saint realm.
Determined, Sadius launched an attack at the ceiling of the cave.
With razor-sharp claws infused with dark-element energy, he slashed through the rock, causing debris to rain down.
Before long, a portion of the magical formation became visible.
Intricate, ancient runes glowed faintly on a massive black stone platform. At its center, a violet sword was embedded into the rock.
The Bloodviolet Divine Sword.
Sadius' eyes gleamed as he stared at the sword.
As a wingless darkness-type dragon, he couldn't fly—reaching the sword directly was impossible.
He glanced at the rubble scattered across the cave floor. There wasn't enough to build a mound high enough to climb.
"That leaves only one option."
Sadius extended his razor-sharp right claw, slicing a wound onto his left palm. Crimson dragon blood seeped out.
He took the blood into his mouth, narrowing his eyes as he focused on the sword above.
"For the honor of twenty years of singlehood!"
With that thought, he spat the blood upward with precision.
The crimson droplet soared through the air and landed directly on the Violetblood Divine Sword.
The moment Sadius' blood touched the blade, it was instantly absorbed.
"WOOOM!"
The sword trembled violently, emitting a low hum. A sinister violet glow spread across its surface, tinged with streaks of eerie crimson.
The entire magical formation shuddered in response.
Then, after a moment, everything fell silent.
Sadius' heart pounded.
Just now, he had felt it—a connection forming between him and the Bloodviolet Divine Sword.
With just a thought, he could now summon the sword to his side.
But he dared not. Who knew what was lurking beyond the seal?
Satisfied, he finally relaxed.
Even if he failed to break through to Saint-level, he now had an ace up his sleeve for the inevitable battle against the Violet Patterned Black Bear.
Without wasting time, he began meditating.
Tapping into the residual killing intent within the Violetblood Divine Sword, he sought to comprehend the Laws.
Meanwhile, in the Forest of Darkness…
Beirut, the enigmatic ruler of the Yulan Plane, watched over his sons as they trained.
He longed for at least one of them to develop talent in the elements of Water, Fire, or Earth. If that happened, he could easily nurture them into Highgods.
Unfortunately, all his descendants had only inherited darkness affinity, leaving them with no hope of becoming a Chief Sovereign.
As he supervised their training, he suddenly sensed an anomaly in the Magical Beast Mountain Range.
One of his sealing formations had been disturbed.
With a single thought, his divine sense extended, revealing the cause.
"Interesting… An Armored Razorback Wyrm has bonded with the sword acting as the formation's core. Well, no matter. Consider it fate, little one."
With that, Beirut turned his attention back to his sons, no longer concerned.
