Chapter 165: The Infiltration of Obsidian Tech!

The city lights twinkled like stars in the vast night sky as dusk settled over the sprawling metropolis that was home to Obsidian Tech. It was a place of progress and innovation, the pride of the Obsidian family, and the center of their vast empire of technology and influence.

Within its walls, some of the brightest minds in the Dragon Empire worked tirelessly to advance science, arcane research, and weaponry.

But tonight, as the final employees finished their work and the night shift began, unseen eyes moved in the shadows, and an insidious plan was set into motion. Continue your saga on empire

Inside the high-security floors of Obsidian Tech, everything seemed normal.

Technicians, researchers, and engineers worked on various projects, oblivious to the fact that the company was about to be struck by a blow designed to cripple it at its core. For years, Silas's agents had embedded themselves deep within the company, patiently waiting for the right moment.

This was that moment.

As the clock struck midnight, the attack began.

Deep within the heart of Obsidian Tech, in a darkened server room filled with humming machines and data streams, a program came alive. A devastating virus, designed with surgical precision, was released into the system.

It spread like wildfire, a creeping darkness that devoured everything in its path. Years of research, sensitive projects, and secret weapons development vanished within seconds as entire databases were wiped clean. Scientists watched in horror as entire projects flickered out of existence—biotech advancements, cybernetic enhancements, and secret military technologies that had taken decades to develop were lost in an instant.

Alarms blared across the complex as servers went offline one by one, plunging floors into chaos. Emergency lights flashed as security protocols activated, but it was already too late.

The virus had been meticulously crafted, designed to evade every countermeasure the company had in place. Or so Silas thought.

In the main control room, Esmeralda, the second-in-command of Obsidian Tech, stood staring at the cascading data on her screen. "What the hell is happening?" she muttered, furiously typing commands into the system.

"Ma'am, the servers are being wiped," one of the engineers shouted from across the room. "We're losing everything!"

Esmeralda's heart pounded as she watched project after project disappear. "Activate all backup protocols. Now!"

The engineer's hands moved quickly, trying to restore the system, but the virus was relentless. Panic spread through the room as screens flickered and data streams turned to static.

But as the virus reached the most critical parts of the system, it hit something unexpected. A firewall—a program built years ago by a young Pyris Obsidian. This was no ordinary firewall. It was an advanced security measure designed to protect the most crucial and confidential information of House Obsidian and its businesses.

Obsidian Legacy, as Pyris had named it, stood tall against the invading virus, its defenses impenetrable.

The virus hit a wall, unable to break through the layers of protection that Pyris had personally coded into the system when he was just a child. At that time, Emberly had watched with amusement as her six-year-old son had insisted on creating safeguards for the company, but now, that genius was the only thing preventing total annihilation.

"Systems in Sector A and B have been compromised, but Sector C is still intact," one of the engineers called out.

Esmeralda let out a breath of relief. "It's Pyris's old security protocol. It's holding. The confidential files are safe."

She turned to the communication panel, her face set in grim determination as she contacted Emberly. "The virus is wiping out most of our projects, but we managed to protect the core data. Thanks to Pyris."

On the other side of the line, Emberly Obsidian leaned back in her chair, a grim smile on her lips. "I always knew his genius would save us one day," she murmured. "We've been lucky, but this attack means we have more enemies than we thought. We need to find out who's behind this, and fast."

As Esmeralda and Emberly exchanged brief words of relief, the infiltrators moved to the next phase of their plan. In a control room hidden deep within the lower levels of Obsidian Tech, a group of disguised engineers worked swiftly and silently.

These men and women had been working within Obsidian Tech for years, unnoticed and undetected.

They were loyal not to House Obsidian, but to Silas.

With deft movements, they activated the second program—one far more insidious than the virus. It was a system-wide communication blackout. As the virus ate away at the data, this new attack targeted the company's ability to call for help. The communication grid flickered, then went dark. Emergency calls, security warnings, distress signals—all of them silenced.

Obsidian Tech was now completely cut off from the outside world.

One of the infiltrators smirked as the blackout took hold. "They won't be able to get a message out for hours. By the time they realize what's happening, we'll be long gone."

Despite the attackers' best efforts, Pyris's firewall had saved Obsidian Tech from total devastation. But the damage was still catastrophic. Key projects had been lost, years of work erased, and trust within the company's systems had been shattered. Panic had spread through the employees, and even as the virus was contained, the deeper question remained: Who was responsible?

Esmeralda, overseeing the recovery efforts, sat down heavily in her chair. "This wasn't random. This was planned. Coordinated. We've been infiltrated."

Emberly's voice came through the comms again. "Find out how deep it goes. I want every person vetted, every system checked. This was no ordinary sabotage. Someone's making their move."

Esmeralda nodded. "We'll recover. But they've hurt us, and they'll try again. And next time, we might not be so lucky."

"Not if I have anything to say about it," Emberly responded sharply. "This is just the beginning. I want to know who's behind this, and I want them dealt with."

As Esmeralda closed the communication, she sighed, her fingers rubbing her temples. "Luckily, the core information is safe," she muttered to herself. "But the damage is done. They've crippled us for now."

Outside the main office, the hum of the now-silent servers echoed ominously through the halls. Obsidian Tech had survived the attack, but it would take time to recover. And everyone knew that this was only the first strike.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, far away, Silas watched with satisfaction. The first phase of his plan had worked. The mighty Obsidian family had been dealt a blow, and the cracks were beginning to show.

But this was just the start.

This small attack was aimed to provoke House Obsidian, Silas never wanted his plans and attacks to be covered in darkness, he always preferred flashy and bang-like movements.

This attacks was an alert, a reminder that he existed, he knew his move would just cripple House Obsidian for an hour or two but it was all he needed, to provoke!

His attacks on House Obsidian were never to be on their business as it was a long legacy he couldn't erase in short weeks, but what about individual attacks? With his new boss now, House Obsidian would fall!
