NOVEL NEXT WORLD Chapter 1: Author's Note
Glad you found your way to my first fanfic. I wanted to start with an author's note explaining a few things about this fic in general and what you may expect, and so on. If you want, you can skip this part and just proceed to the first chapter.
This is a very ambitious project, and I can't promise continuous updates or if this will even find an end. I just got the urge to start writing, and this is in fact my first project, so bear with me if there are inconsistencies or similar.
I will try to find time to dedicate to this project apart from university, hobbies, friends, and family.

What is Xianxia?
If you are not familiar with this term, it is a Chinese fantasy genre in which protagonists are often cultivators of immortality and supernatural powers.
You don't need to have any knowledge beforehand to read this fic as I will try to explain things best to my ability.
I plan to have this world be in the Er Gen Verse. Er Gen is a known author in the scene and has created books such as 'Renegade Immortal', 'Pursuit of the Truth', 'I Shall Seal the Heavens' and more.
The Characters and the world itself will be created entirely by myself; it is just that the world is in the same universe, and some characters and places from that universe may appear.
Beware that xianxia worlds are enormous and power levels reach insane levels even shortly into the story.
If I have caught your interest, I can highly recommend to you to read Monster Academy, written by Nuach_ which has a lot more COTE-focused elements than my fic will have.
Or Er Gen's works, starting with Renegade Immortal.
A little Spoiler and Clarification:
At some point in the story, COTE characters will appear, but not in the way you may think they will. They will not be transported or reincarnated.
