As he felt the overwhelming aura from Mo Yu, Yun Shan's expression slightly shifted. 

With the gathering of fierce winds around him, the white light at Yun Shan's fingertip grew brighter and brighter, until it resembled a blazing sun in the sky. 

"Extreme Wind: Annihilation!" 

In an instant, the air around Yun Shan froze as he pointed at Mo Yu. With a harsh cry, the white light at his fingertip erupted into a thin beam that shot out at terrifying speed, distorting the air and leaving a black trail in the sky. 

This terrifying dou technique was the same one Yun Yun had used when battling the Amethyst Winged Lion King, a strike that once severed the toughest horn of a Dou Huang-ranked beast in one blow. 

As Yun Shan unleashed of his Extreme Wind Annihilation, even the onlookers like Jia Xingtian turned pale. They all swiftly retreated, unwilling to be anywhere near this destructive attack. 

Casually watching the white energy beam speed toward him, Mo Yu raised his hand, his fingers wrapped in purple-gold light. In the blink of an eye, the energy burst into a blinding brilliance. 

The purple-gold glow grew stronger and stronger, soon becoming like a sun itself, dazzling and intense. 

Mo Yu's eyes grew cold, and a purple-gold energy sword manifested in his hand. The sword surged with terrifying energy and struck out at Yun Shan. 

The energy sword sliced through the air, creating a deafening sonic boom as it moved. Its imposing strength seemed like it could split the very sky. 

In the gaze of countless onlookers, the purple-gold energy sword collided head-on with the incoming white beam of energy. 

In an instant, a thunderous explosion reverberated across the sky. The clash of energies released a powerful shockwave that bore down on everyone below. Even some of those standing on the edge of the grand plaza were forced to the ground by the intense pressure. 

"This is the strength of a Dou Zong... truly overwhelming." 

Even though Jia Xingtian and the others had distanced themselves from the battle, the residual energy still made them step back. When they stabilized, Jia Xingtian looked up with awe at the combat above. Though he was himself close to Dou Zong, the massive difference in power was undeniable. 

"With Mo Yu's current strength, he might actually possess the strength of a Dou Zong as well," Fa Ma said solemnly. "Otherwise, he couldn't possibly counter Yun Shan's Extreme Wind. Back in the day, Yun Shan used this same move to kill two powerful fighters of equal rank from the Chu Yun Empire." 

Fa Ma squinted and added, "Have you noticed that ever since Mo Yu's power surged, the purple-gold energy he uses doesn't seem to be ordinary dou qi, but some kind of bloodline power?" 

"Yes... it does seem that way," Jia Xingtian nodded slowly. 

"This guy is impossible to figure out," Fa Ma said, shaking his head with a wry smile. 

Jia Xingtian nodded in agreement and looked up at the dissipating energy in the sky. When he saw Mo Yu still standing unscathed, he chuckled lightly. "It seems that Yun Shan will find it difficult to detain the Xiao Clan's Twin Dragons today. And with Hai Bodong and the mysterious Dou Huang keeping a close watch, the Yun Lan Sect has really met its match." 

As a member of the royal family, Jia Xingtian had always been wary of the powerful Yun Lan Sect. If Mo Yu could challenge Yun Shan's authority, it would be an advantage for the royal family. 

He recalled his great-granddaughter Yao Ye's words about a possible alliance between her and Mo Yu. If that alliance were to come to pass, the security of the royal family would be guaranteed for generations. However, he put these thoughts aside for now, his focus returning to the clash. Mo Yu still had to escape the Yun Lan Sect, and Yun Shan was, after all, a famed master of decades. 

"Yun Lan Sect Leader, you won't be able to hold me here," Mo Yu said with a slight smile. With a wave of his sleeve, he dispersed the last of the energy shockwaves. His handsome face showed a hint of disdain. 

Yun Shan looked at Mo Yu, whose aura was still strong and composed after the clash. Thinking of the terrifying purple-gold energy from earlier, Yun Shan sighed, his voice heavy. "You are indeed strong. Even after I've reached Dou Zong, it seems I can't stop you." 

"In that case, let me and Xiao Yan leave," Mo Yu replied calmly. 

Yun Shan's brow furrowed slightly as he remained silent. 

On the plaza, everyone held their breath, anxiously awaiting Yun Shan's response. None of them dared to intervene in this confrontation. 

However, the anger in Yun Leng's eyes couldn't be contained any longer. He shouted, "Old Sect Leader, if we let Mo Yu and Xiao Yan go, the reputation of our Yun Lan Sect will be tarnished!" 

"Enough! Let them go!" Yun Shan interrupted, taking a deep breath as he looked intently at Mo Yu. With a wave of his hand, he commanded, "Today's events will go unpunished. But if you harm our elders again, no matter your strength, the Yun Lan Sect will not let it go as easily." 

"As long as the Yun Lan Sect does not provoke me, I will not provoke the Yun Lan Sect," Mo Yu replied coldly, glancing at Yun Leng before turning back to Yun Shan. 

"Alright, let them go" Yun Shan said with a heavy sigh, his expression darkening. 

Retracting the vast energy within him, Mo Yu turned and nodded to Xiao Yan and the others, who quickly followed him up the stone steps. 

In the shocked gazes of all the Yun Lan Sect disciples, Mo Yu and Xiao Yan's figures slowly disappeared into the misty distance of the mountain path. 

"It's finally over…" 

Watching the two figures disappear, the gathered experts let out a collective sigh of relief. What had started as a mere contest between two juniors had escalated into a battle with powerful entities that left everyone astounded. 

After today, the Xiao Clan's Twin Dragons would be known throughout the empire.
